BMV Construction

BMV Construction is a fair and honest company that helped us make our dreams of updating our home a reality at a fair price. Bud and Maracruze Villalobos are professionals and easy to work with. Bud went out of his way to make sure that we were happy with the work and quickly responded to our concerns and made things right. I highly recommend BMV construction. Our project was to update our existing home including all new power, plumbing and waste systems, removing a wall between the kitchen and living area and creating a new walk-in closet and primary bathroom. In addition the secondary bathroom and kitchen were renovated and exterior painted. All this was completed while my wife and I remained living (camping) in our home. While this project did take longer than we anticipated, I think much of that was due to us needing to maintain a bathroom at all times and some personal issues that arose. As with all contractors I recommend that you be prepared. Make sure you know what you want before you sign a contract and make sure you are ready with materials that you are to provide well before they are needed.

BMV was extremely professional in bidding, communicating the work schedules and most importantly, completing the project on-time and within their bid price. We also had another problem arise during the project and they were able to make certain that the secondary project worked well before they finished up the original contract. I would highly recommend BMV Construction to anyone contemplating a home improvement project.

We hired BMV to renovate our kitchen which included the removal of a few load bearing walls. The did a phenomenal job. The job wasn't without delays or misques, however the important thing was they wanted to ensure we were satisfied with the final outcome. We will use them again for every single project to come in our home.

Did not deliver the craftsmanship they advertise on their website. Kitchen cabinets were installed by "electrician". All blemishes and accidental scratches on kitchen cabinets were attempted to be covered up by the magic marker that's included with cabinets. I've attempted to contact contractor to have fix some tile and cabinets fixed. The last text message was ignored. I'll be posting images of kitchen cabinets blemishes, bathroom tile grout breaking, aluminum siding around windows, substandard kitchen tile work, along with other images. Attempts to contact me were made only after I posted this review.

After looking at many reviews on contractors in the Whittier and surrounding SGV area on Houzz, Angie's List, HomeAdvisor, and other smaller contractor review sites, we were very impressed with the work and the reviews of BMV Construction and chose their bid over about 3-4 other contractors. While the whole process took a bit longer than expected and started later than I hoped (which is unfortunately the norm for contractors), we are so pleased with the final result! We finally got the dream kitchen that we wanted! Maricruz and Bud as well as their crew did an amazing job. What I appreciated most about them is their communication throughout the project. I would ask questions on what's happening next and would get quick responses. If there were problems or delays, they were upfront with you as to why. Even when there were slight mishaps with the craftsmanship or things weren't exactly the way you wanted them to be, they were quick to respond and rectify the issue. They care about their customers and focus on doing a good job rather than making a profit. Their customer service alone is the reason why we are continuing with them with our small bathroom project. After searching for a contractor for over six months we hired BMV Construction to do a full remodel of our master bathroom and some repairs to a second smaller bathroom, which is handicapped accessible. BMV did a great job on the master bathroom remodel, and the repairs to the accessible bathroom were very well done. Our bathroom turned out beautiful; it feels more like a spa now. Their beautiful workmanship shows that they really know their craft. It is our understanding that most of the work is done by their in-house employees and not contracted out, so this made the scheduling of the work very easy. They did exactly what we asked; the job was done on time, and more importantly on budget, with no hidden fees. It was a pleasure working with everyone at BMV as they are all very pleasant and professional. They were very good at communicating with us and answering all our questions and concerns in a timely manner. I highly recommend them for any job and would hire them again for other projects or repairs around our house.

I hired BMV Construction to do a kitchen remodel and install laminate flooring in the entire house. I was referred to them by my mother-in-law who has used them on many projects at her home. Maricruz put together a few great kitchen plan options for us. She was very knowledgeable and quickly responded to changes we wanted made to the plan. Bud, the owner, managed the project from start to finish. He was very professional and highly experienced. Bud stayed in close contact during the project and always kept me updated on project status and when workers would show up. If I needed him out at the project, he would show up right away. He also made it very easy to make changes to the plan while the job was going on. The workers were always very polite and did high quality work. Overall, the remodel came out great and we are very happy. Cost was very reasonable too and Bud stuck to the budget which was great. I highly recommend Bud and his team.

I wanted to update my kitchen with a new sink and countertops. From measuring, providing samples, dealing with my changes of mind and finally doing the job, I could not be happier. Everything was done as contracted, on budget and on time. My home was disrupted as little as possible and was left as clean and orderly as could be expected at the end of each day. Manny Torres worked with me closely on my choices of design and color and made many great suggestions. Manny was at the job every day to oversee the workmen and provide me with details of each step along the way. I highly recommend this company for their professionalism, workmanship and expertise.

Over the last few months, I spoke to a few people about the potential of repairing our garage roof. Then happened to meet and talk to Manny from BMV Construction, who was doing a remodeling project on a house around the block from us. They were just GREAT!! Their work was wonderful and efficiently completed.. but I was really impressed with the all the communication they provided.. pre-, during, and post-garage roof replacement. And, if I had any questions, I'd call and either get an answer on that call or would get a call right back with the answer. I'm keeping BMV Construction's information handy if/when I do any further work on our home.. AND, no doubt about it, if anyone asks for a great contractor, I'll be passing along their name and phone number. Thank you Manny and BMV Construction!!

I had a leak around my living room window with the last huge rainstorm. Thinking it was the window frame, I got the info from HOUZZ and sought an estimate from Bud at BMV. As soon as he arrived, Bud pinpointed the issue as not being the window frame, but said that the flashing around the outside of the house was leaking into the stucco. When they actually got into the project, Bud came to see me and said that not only was there an issue with the flashing, but that when they removed the old rain gutters, there was NOTHING underneath; no flashing, no stucco...down to the framing. No wonder it leaked, right?! They did a fabulous job repairing it and the estimate remained the same as it was originally. Both Bud and Maricruz were very pleasant to work with and were responsive to my calls. The ONLY reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of scheduling issues that delayed the start and the finish of the job. It probably took a little longer than it should have, but I am confident that they did a good job and the results look extremely professional. I would definitely use them again...thank you so much, BMV!

We were very fortunate to meet up with Maricruz and Bud, owners of BMV Constuction, because they took our vision and wish list and made them come true. We had all three of our bathrooms remodeled, and we are extremely satisfied with the end results...as are our family members who are awestruck when they first see them. Everyone says our bathrooms now look like something from a 5-star hotel. BMV's staff were very professional and respected our house; they always covered our carpets each and every work day. They cleaned up every day and kept the dust to a minimum. They were very flexible in meeting our desires to even repaint our bathroom because we didn't like our first paint selection; it was our fault. They did everything we asked for, albright we did a Change Order for some out of scope work, but they were always very accommodating and professional. We believe the project cost was very reasonable as well. We would definitely use BMV Construction in the future.

BMV Construction did a great job remodeling our three bathrooms. They showed up on time consistently and were very courteous.
