Tyler is a fantastic architect. Tyler was excellent at coming up with ideas to push us out of our comfort zone while maximizing our space. Tyler is also one of the few architects that fully understands our City's codes and regulations. Tyler has a fantastic working relationship with our City so our permitting process was swift compared to many friends with different architects. We are very happy with Tyler's design of our home and highly recommend him to others.

Tyler has been a tremendous partner to me and my family throughout our journey. Buffet Design created a beautiful home for us! I was an Owner/Builder on our project and without the assistance of Tyler and his team I would have been lost! The turn around time of questions I had was amazing and Buffet design was always there for any changes to our vision with great direction and eye for detail. Really loved the "virtual" Bimx plans they used! Allowed us to really see how the final product would turn out and it came out just like the picture! We designed and built a new home from the ground up. Tyler took our architectural drawings and made them into construction documents. He then became the lead person to insure that we got all of our documents submitted to the City and ensured that we ultimately got our building permit. From here he was with us for the entire building process, which took over a year. Tyler was always available when I needed him and during the build we met countless times to discuss, plan or re-design something. His eye for design improved our homes final outcome. He was a real advocate for our project and he seemed to truly want the best for us. Building a home is a major under taking, but we were glad we had Tyler working with us. Tyler Buffett was part of the Watermark Del Mar team that developed a proposal for a high end 38 unit multifamily complex in Del Mar California. Because of the prominent "Gateway" location and required community engagement process, the imagery representing the project had to be of the highest quality and accurately show the surroundings. Tyler worked with the project architects, Benson & Bohl Architects to prepare photo realistic illustrations based on architects sketches and discussions about materials with the architect and developer client. Tyler Buffett was a pleasure to work with on Watermark and was able to help produce a detailed vision of the proposed project and its potential contribution to Del Mar's distinct beachfront community.

We are a General Contracting firm that built a house designed by Buffett Design. From a builder's perspective, working with Tyler Buffett was a great success. Often architects disappear once a project starts and they move on to the next projects they are designing - they don't seem to care about a project once they have completed their design work for it - but Tyler remained connected to this project and was always there to resolve issues and help us on site whenever we needed him. That makes all the difference in the world to have an architect who remains deeply engaged to a project throughout its construction.

My wife and I hired Tyler for a full redesign of our old single-story home built in 1957. We worked with him closely for over 3 years as we completed our project in several stages. In the end we completed an 1,300 square foot addition (including a new garage, two bedrooms, play room and laundry room), transformed our existing garage into a attached rentable Accessory Dwelling unit (ADU), and remodeled and reconfigured our kitchen, living space and master bathroom. Tyler designed the plans for the entire project , making the finished product look seamless. We could not have been happier with Tyler’s work and professionalism. He was very easy to work and responsive to all questions and ideas. He patiently collaborated with us to fully transform our home, working closely with our contractor to resolve any issues and ensure the plan was properly executed. We loved Tyler’s creativity and smart, usable ideas. He truly gave our house the mid-century design we were looking for. His vision and creativity resulted in an exceptional design that surpassed our expectations. I used Tyler Buffett at Buffett Design on a couple construction projects. Tyler is a good listener and is very creative in design. His computer skills with design and conceptual models made our project(s) run smoothly. I highly recommend.

We hired Buffett Design for what we had originally hoped to be a remodel but quickly turned in to a total tear down and fresh design. We were so lucky to have the opportunity to work with Tyler - he guided us through the whole process and worked diligently with us to make sure we ended up in our dream house. He took our fumbling descriptions of what we liked and turned it to a stunning architectural achievement. He also stayed with us through all of the permitting nightmares (our city's fault, no fault of his), selecting a builder, and working with the builder during construction to make sure everything was perfect. Besides being a visionary designer and architect, Tyler also embraces the latest in design and visualization software, so he was able to show us what our home really would look like. Some of the renderings he provided us were so realistic when we'd share them with friends and family they thought the house had already been built. I honestly can't say enough good things about Buffett Design and Tyler. I've included pictures of before, during, and after completion, as I thought the whole process was fascinating and wanted to share our journey .

Tyler Buffett served as the architectural planner for a home we had designed for a Lake Michigan view lot. Tyler utilized topographical surveys to design the home to conform to the site restrictions to meet all Michigan DEQ requirements, including slope protection, while maximizing water views. His design ensured DEQ and multiple local permit approvals. Tyler also provided consultation services regarding a parcel in Oceanside. His guidance provided necessary information regarding the decision to not purchase the Oceanside parcel.

We hired Buffett Design for the remodel of an old craftman home. We gutted the house and added a significant amount of square footage. The project was huge and stressful and would not have been possible without the creative, decisive vision of Tyler's architectural plans. We also had a lot of opinions (Sorry!) which were listened to intently and incorporated in the overall big picture. Our new home has an incredible flow and we couldn't be happier. We hired Tyler to help us design a whole house remodel that involved major change to the floor plan, yet staying within the original footprint of the house. He's practical and creative, listened to what we wanted, and offered his advice with a goal of creating something we love. He works entirely in 3D and shares the digital model with you, so you can visualize the design beyond just a 2D floor plan. We had many constraints due to the existing structure and zoning requirements. Tyler presented multiple ideas for the items on our wish list, and through a collaborative process we created a design with everything we wanted. We are building the house now, and Tyler continues to support us. He has a genuine interest in seeing that the house be built to fulfill the design we created, and be a home we truly enjoy. He has helped identify issues during construction, and been extremely responsive to provide solutions to unforeseen circumstances that are part of a major remodel. We highly recommend Tyler!

Tyler is a creative individual that listens to the customer. He provides many ideas and options in creating a livable floor plan that is functional and feasible. He thinks outside the box. His abilities with computer images and design make it easy to visualize the project before it is built.

After meeting with a few different architects, we hired Buffett Design for our whole house remodel. Tyler is friendly, real, and was very understanding in regards to our constantly changing ideas. When it was difficult for us to visualize the space based on the 2D sketches, he created a 3D walkthrough experience on the computer for us. This was so helpful for us to "walk through" the new space before construction even started!
