Matt Young and His team at UnCommon Angles recently completed our custom home, and we are very impressed with how everything turned out! Matt and his team are very professional and easy to talk to, and are truly skilled with the work they produce. Josh and I took our time to find the right builder for us and our dream home. We met with quite a few builders in the valley, but were not impressed until we found Matt and his team. Going with Matt and his crew is pretty much a one stop shop, they do it all from the design elements of the house, to breaking ground and every step along the way with construction from framing to finish work to completion. It was nice meeting with Matt through the design phase of the house because we had a rough floor plan that he took and turned it into a reality for us while keeping it financially obtainable as well. Its nice not having to find an architect to go through this, and then go find a builder to follow those plans. Building a home can be stressful with lots of decisions to be made with all the materials you need to choose, and Matt does what he can to reduce stress on the homeowners by taking care of things like permits so you can focus on other elements of the build. It was nice to show up to the build site throughout the whole process and actually see Matt there working unlike some contractors who just arrange subcontractors to do all the work. A great thing about Matt too is that he listens to your input and ideas while also giving the homeowner suggestions of what he thinks would work best or look best which has clearly been developed through years of experience. Matt has passion and pride in his work, and so does his crew which is evident in their finished product. Josh and I have truly been impressed with how our home has turned out and still are in awe that Matt and his crew were able to make our dream into a reality, and they did it in a timely and professional manner. We are very grateful for all of their hard work and craftsmanship that they put into our dream home!

Matt, owner of Uncommon Angles and his crew are very talented in all aspects of the construction industry. Not only are they true Craftsman they run a great business while providing cot containment avenues for projects they perform on. Highly Recommended!

Matt built a beautiful house. The quality of build is superb. Matt constantly looked for high value materials, and the results show. The house is a showcase in the neighborhood, yet was very economical to build. Structurally, the house is quite solid, and the building envelop very tight. I would not hesitate to recommend Uncommon Angles.

Matt and his crew built our home for us in 2010-11. His work is exemplary. His attention to detail and superb craftsmanship have resulted in a home that, for the past 7 years, has needed no repairs or tweaks. That alone is enough to recommend him. On a personal level, he is wonderful to work with.

Matt and his crew did an excellent job building our "Swain Family Log Cabin". The quality of construction was excellent, their work was affordable and competitively priced, and they were a pleasure to work with. No surprises on cost, the construction timeframe was appropriate, and they always found good solutions to the construction challenges (especially in the mountains) that they encountered along the way.

Matt and his team built an energy efficient custom home for me in Salida, Colorado in 2013. They were efficient, very hardworking, trustworthy and always listened to my needs and responded quickly and fairly. As a single woman building a house it was not easy to find someone who respected what I envisioned but Matt did. The project was completed on time and on budget. Uncommon Angles took an architects plan and turned it into our dream home. Matt Young and his team do fantastic work. They undertook the challenge of a small but surprisingly complicated house and made it look simple.
