German Heritage Furniture

German Heritage Furniture was founded by Dan Hershberger in 1998. Dan and his young family farmed in northern Iowa till the markets crashed in the mid 90s. He had been custom building new furniture along with refinishing and restoring old furniture as a hobby in a 2 car garage. In 1995 he bought a building in Chester, IA and turned his hobby into his full time occupation. He named his new business River Road Wood-works. His new business thrived under his skill and firm commitment to quality workmanship. In 1997 he purchased another building in Chester (our current location) . After totally remodeling the building, he made his move in 1998 to the new location. He then gave his business a new name, German Heritage Furniture. He chose this name because of his rich German background and his commitment to quality and integrity. German Heritage Furniture has flourished through the years. Dan's eldest sons Andrew and Menno (the Hershberger Bros.) are now are running the business. They have the same commitment to quality and integrity as Dan had when he started the business. The business has expanded considerably since it started, and now offers a full line of high quality indoor and outdoor furniture that will last for generations!
