Callen Construction completed our kitchen remodel project professionally with a friendly knowledgeable staff. They were able to handle the project from design to full completion. The project was handled in a timely manner and on budget. Our project manager communicated schedules and timing on a regular basis. We were informed on what was coming next on the daily construction, which left us without questioning what was happening next. The sub-contractors kept the house clean while they were still performing their work. They were respectful of our living space. We have used other contractors in the past where we have had issues. We had no issues with Callen. We highly recommend Callen for any projects you may have planned.

We were planning on doing a remodel of our bathroom. We had a consultation meeting with Callen (one at their show room and then another at our home) and they guaranteed us that our project would be about $35,000 (we said there may be issued behind the walls) We worked with a designer who was not helpful, but always showed up late for all of our appointments. She was helpful by showing us new stores to go look at really did not help us many any decisions. She also kept pushing materials on us that we did not want. Then when she presents us with the contact he price was now 53,000 and they refused to give use an itemized list of how they got to the 53,000! Plus if we found any problems behind the walls (our home is from 1897 and def not up to code) EDIT: I have now talked with the owner of the company and he explained how they will work on better matching up their designer with what the costumers specific needs are and work on being more thoughtful when giving a quote.

We had our old roof replaced, this was a complete tear off with 3 layers and cedar shingles done by Callen and they were awesome. From the sales team, to the project manager, to the team that did the roofing, everything was easy, there were no surprises (outside of how happy a new roof made me), and they will be our first call if we need any other work done.

After spending months researching multiple general contractors and receiving estimates from many other highly regarded companies, we could not be more satisfied with our choice to have Callen remodel our kitchen and bathroom. From the day we met our designer Heather, she was hard at work to ensure that the process went smoothly and within our budget. She even made herself available on weekends to meet or speak on the phone in answering the many questions we had about the design of our spaces. Her communication was always consistent and timely in offering many ideas to keep our entire project on track. The flexibility of their entire team in examining our proposal multiple times to find cost savings without compromising the high quality you expect from such a company was commendable. Regardless if you have minimal or significant background knowledge and clarity about a desired remodeling project, the process can easily be stressful and exhausting. Callen has been a partner we have been able to count on to not just work for us but also with us in exceeding our expectations of customer service. We would highly recommend them to anyone seeking to remodel as their experience and care are quite evident.

Our house is a stone house built in 1935. It had an addition put on on the 70's with an exterior of stucco. We had Callen replace all the stucco with LP Smart Siding and trim. Having an older, "unique" house we ran into some issues but Callen had solutions. Overall it looks like a whole new beautiful house. Plus we have the security of knowing things were done right. Some people might not care about aesthetics and character as much as I do but the crew at Callen cared just as much. I literally watched the whole process and I could not have been happier. Any little concern I had was addressed right away and we stayed on budget. Communication was outstanding. Every person I dealt with at Callen was fantastic and at the top of their game. From the showroom, sales, project manager, on site manager and their staff. I would use them again in a heartbeat. I am happy we used Callen.

Callen was wonderful to work with. We did an extensive remodel of our master bedroom and bath. Marie, our designer, was extremely helpful in suggestions and design. Our remodel involved taking out closets, extending the bathroom to accommodate a larger shower and add a double sink and vanity. I had been planning it for a number of years but Marie thought of things I hadn't and had great ideas for products used. Every person who entered our home was respectful of it and cleaned up every day. We were given a calendar of the work schedule at the beginning and it was adhered to. Each day the project manager called to let us know what would be happening the next day. There was never a day when someone wasn't here working. We were so impressed with this company and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

We also had them do our roof and gutters and downspouts. We are very happy with the results, Even Neighbors commented on their work. and the results. when they leave there is never a mess

Our house was built in the 1940s, and until one month ago we still had the original master bathroom. We hired Callen to gut the bathroom and remodel it. We had a great experience. They stuck with their budget. They gave us a schedule and adhered to it. They called at the beginning of each week to tell us what to expect on each day. Of course, you always hope to receive a hassle free remodel, but Callen actually delivered it. We were especially impressed with their designer, Doreen Schofield. On her first visit, she saw potential in a space that not one of the other contractors who bid on the project saw. She also has a flare for original floor designs. We asked for the look of marble but the durability of ceramic, and she sure came through!

Callen Construction resided our house with James Hardie fibercement siding and put up new vinyl Mastic shutters. The results are beautiful! All of our neighbors have commented about how nice it looks. The work team was great: they arrived on time evey day, worked hard and did a fabulous, very professional job. All three of them were very nice as well. They took care of every detail, including covering small nail heads with matching paint. Their sales rep was also very pleasant and great to work with. He was very knowledgeable about the products he showed and suggested to us and gave us good advice. I highly recommend Callen Construction.

We hired Callen to completely gut our 1952 kitchen as well as install 4 new windows and 2 entry doors. The results are stunning. Unlike other bids we received their design team actually listened, and remembered what we were looking for. I was able to complete some of the work myself during the project which saved money and made me feel like I had somepart in this remodel. We were provided a schedule ahead of time on what work was to be completed on which day. Over the month long time frame for the kitchen, Callen and their subs were never late and they completed every task exactly as outlined on the schedule. Their eye for detail is real, and caring. We had finish issues with the cabinets and Callen's project manager and designer was extremely motivated to get the representative out and to fix the issue. They want their customers to be 100% happy, no matter if they did the work or not and it really was proven here. The windows and doors are beautiful and their skilled workforce really makes a DIY'er impressed. You can tell Callen has been doing this for a long time. Pricing was very fair for the amount of work we had competed. I wouldn't call anyone else from now on for major home construction projects.

Over the past 15 years, we have used Callen for numerous remodeling and upgrading projects for our home: Windows, doors, exterior trim (soffits, facia, trim, shutters), remove and replace roof, and heater cables in two parts of the roof. Without exception, they have done the highest quality work with high quality products, and backed it all without question. They do what they say they are going to do. We are very happy with the results and how we were treated by all members of the team.

We are located in Wind Lake Wisconsin and suffered hail damage to our home in 2014 and 2015. Callen Construction and Christopher Wittmann worked with us and our insurance company to come to a final settlement to get our home back in shape once again. All of our roofs were replaced, a good deal of the siding, aluminum soffits, fascias, and window wraps along with down spouts on the home. The crews and Alan, the crew manager, were highly professional during the entire process and we couldn't be happier with the result. Callen has gone way overboard to insure that this project was project completed to the highest standard. We would recommend them to anyone needing any type of work done on their home.

Bought doors from Callen/waudena doors, finish came off in less than a year. Original door was replaced and the same problem occurred. We bought these doors which were not cheap doors and thought they would last for years. WRONG. Waudena said it was normal wear and tear and Callen agreed. I should have known I was going to have trouble with the doors, upon installation they leave you with a little bottle of touch up paint

We are very sorry that this has been occurring. We have offered to help directly after hearing about this issue taking place. The type of wear that is being experienced is not typical and is considered an isolated case. We have been providing the Waudena Millwork entry door products to our clients for well over 10 years and have not seen this type of finish wear at this extent. The products are extremely durable and hold up quite well to our weather and daily use.

The first entry door that was affected was replaced at no charge. Per a representative from Waudena Millwork, “Upon further review, we still find that the finish issue being experienced here is due to wear and damage caused in the home and is not a finish failure. When I say “damage” I am referring to something hitting, scratching or rubbing against the door, causing the chips in the area around the door handles. This being the second door slab with a similar issue as before also confirms this.”

“We have run into this same issue on other occasions with pictures that look identical to what was submitted. We have physically been in the home inspecting doors when kids came home from school and our technician witnessed backpacks being used to push open and slide across the doors. Metal zippers and attachments on clothes, purses & backpacks can cause chipping of the finish. Contact from a body pushing the door open will cause fading or rubbing off of the finish over time. Chipping and fading in the area around the lock side of the door is not a finish failure. A finish failure would be typically noticed on the entire door, not just on the part of the door that sees the most action.”

Again, we're very sorry that this have been your experience with our company and the products we offer. For the past 30 years, we have been very good at offering products and services that are very sustainable, long lasting and energy efficient. We would still like to assist in helping by replacing the doors with new units. The manufacturer’s representative has offered replacement door slabs at an extremely generous discounted price.

I can't say enough good things about this company and this construction experience. I choose Callen because they have Marvin Infinity windows (wonderful product!!) but I would use them again for any remodeling project!!! While I initially thought they were pricey, when I saw the quality and craftsmanship they put into this project, it was a good value!! They were terrific to work with from design (creative and detailed) thruough construction (professional and collaborative). They communicated perfectly and I knew the plan & schedule. They worked everyday until it was done on time. It turned out just how I envisoned it. They stuck to their contract but exceeded my expectations!! It was a GREAT experieince AND I have a GREAT room!!!

Complete replacement of all casement windows and patio door as well as installation of exterior aluminum trim. Crew was very professional and punctual. The remodel commenced by removing the wall between the kitchen and the dining room. A complete redesign of the space opened up the existing flow of the first level to include a picture window into the front living room. Mocha cabinets added to both kitchen and laundry room while LG Roccoco Quartz countertops top both two tiered island and cabinets which are accented by silver travertine tile backsplash, acacia flooring was chosen for the first floor (main-level) - kitchen, dinette, foyer, laundry and powder room.

The skylight in our bathroom was failing, so we needed to hire someone to come out and take care of it, so we contacted Callen Construction and they sent out Adam, a sales rep. Adam was friendly and showed us all of the different options, really sticking to those options which made sense for our space (again, it was a bathroom skylight, so he realized we didn't need something super high-tech). He was great to work with and so we scheduled an installation. It took about two months to come out, which was no problem, and the installation was done in one day - and what a job they did! The old, nasty one was torn out and removed and the new Velux unit was installed - and it looked GREAT! However, the old unit had allowed some condensation to get into the drywall, so a portion of the drywall had to be removed - and so a few days later, they had a drywaller come out and patch things up. Honestly, if you looked at it now, you'd NEVER know the drywall had been removed - it's that good. The whole job, from start to finish, was fantastic and we're beyond pleased with the service Callen Construction has provided. They're even going to come back out in a year just to check it out and make sure everything is still going strong - how many other companies stand by their work like that? :) Callen Construction will be recommended to friends and family - that's for certain and they are now our go to company when it comes to anything house related!

I hired Callen Construction to replace six windows on the first floor, to fabricate and install aluminum facia and soffit panels, and address a water issue on our second level. One crew installed Marvin Infinity windows, and a second crew worked on the remaining items. The knowledge, skills, abilities, attitudes, and professionalism of the on-site workmen and company salesperson (Mike Wood) was outstanding. I used Callen 7-8 years ago when I replaced the windows on our second level and was very pleased with their work. I used another construction company 5 years ago for an insurance claim - siding/gutters/shingles - and the difference with Callen is dramatic.

Fantastic - the experience was awesome from start to finish. They resided the house & installed new exterior & screen doors. My sales guy Brad helped us in making some stylistic choices that we love. He was always available when we had customization - like custom door colors. Then the crew - just as great. I received nightly phone calls to know how the progress went for the day & what the plan was for the next day. I never had any questions or concerns about how the project was progressing. I can't wait to hire them for our interior projects when we're ready.

Callen Construction removed and disposed existing windows in our sunroom and master bedroom. THey then installed new Infinity from Marvin full frame fiberglass windows. We were very impressed with every aspect of the job. Did it when promised - quality performance.

We completely remodeled our master bath. The designer (Marie) listened carefully to our needs and created a wonderful plan. Scheduling was on time although some materials were not on time although some materials were not on time from suppliers. Workmanship is excellent and any problems (small) were immediately made right. Crews worked cleanly and professionally. We got what we paid for. We would use Callen again. And did use their window division for replacement windows.

We had Callen install (2) Infinity Double Hung Windows in our master bedroom. These windows replaced Anderson windows that were 30+ years old and no longer had retained heat in the house in winter.

Looking for an estimate on siding and window replacement, we met with Christopher from Callen He was very helpful with the decision making, coming to our home, taking pictures, and presenting us with all the details needed to make a decision. He also helped in the area financing, showing us the different options we could pursue. Considering our budget he broke up the project into smaller segments, advising us on the order in which each project should be completed. Financially we were not able to go forward with our plans but would definitely consider them again when the timing is right. I will not forget how personable Christopher was and his professionalism. We live in a modest ranch home, nothing fancy; that didn't matter to him, he treated us with the utmost respect. You could tell he loves his job and cares about his customers and their needs. It is all about customer service and Christopher should get an A++ in that category. He was wonderful.

Callen removed and replaced 7 casement windows on our house. The workmanship was excellent. They removed all the windows without any damage to the existing siding, installed the new windows, insulated and caulked in the new windows and completely encased the exterior with new aluminum trim. On the inside of the house they trimmed the windows out perfectly including matching the new trim to cover the existing faux painting on our walls. Their finish carpenter even fitted the new casement to the existing crown molding. The cleanup inside and out was excellent. The entire crew was friendly, courteous and professional.

I had a second floor deck removed and rebuilt. The deck was cantilevered. This required some special attention and considerations. All of these were addressed and handled in an efficient and professional manner. I was very impressed with the craftsmanship and attention to detail. Job well done!

We purchased 2 replacement windows and 2 replacement patio doors from Callen Construction. They were completely professional, beginning with the sales person who visited our home, through the gentlemen who actually installed the products we purchased. We've been very pleased with the quality of the windows and doors we purchased from Callen, and as soon as we can afford to do so, we will contract with Callen once again to replace the remaining windows in our home.
