We are extremely pleased with our basement finish by Capital Construction in 2021. We waited to write a review to allow inclusion of fit/finish over time. Kelli Smith and her crew, as well as their selected subcontractors, were very professional and provided high-quality workmanship. We have had no need for repairs or corrections after 2.5 years and are highly satisfied with the value for what was paid. We had appx. 1,000 sf finished including 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, 1 exercise room and a great room with wet bar. We would definitely recommend Capital construction for any project in your home.

We had 2 bids that were almost identical and a bit over budget for our basement renovation. We were lucky enough to receive a 3rd referral through our neighborhood newsletter for Kelli Smith and Capital Construction. Her very detailed cost proposal was the lowest of the three and we immediately felt very comfortable choosing her company. She kept us up to date through out the process, gave us valuable ideas at different stages, showed us ways to keep costs down, never tried to oversell us, and was always available to answer questions when needed. Being a construction company, she had a lot of her own employees and all of the subcontractors she hired were all very nice and friendly. But I think what most impressed us about Kelli is that she followed up with us 1 month and 2 months after job completion to make sure we were satisfied and that everything was working like we expected. We highly recommend Kelli Smith and Capital Construction for your basement renovation!

Kelli and James are incredible and professional. They stayed on schedule and kept to our budget and also accommodated our, sometimes crazy, changes. All of their sub-contractors were very professional as well. It is very easy to be good when there is no business but very difficult to be great when there is so much to go around...most contractors won't even show for the first bid. Thank you so much for restoring our faith in the trades. You went above and beyond our expectations!

We bought a new home from them last August. Excellent workmanship and design throughout. We hired them to finish the basement based on the quality of construction and we are very very pleased with the work. The communication and attention to detail was superb. Kelli is a very talented project manager and has a great eye for design. The project came in on budget and on time. The crew was very polite and dedicated to quality. We feel very fortunate to have worked with Capital Construction and I would give them 6 stars if that was an option.

Did a remodel in our basement to include bedroom, full bathroom and living area. They were very professional and pleasant to work with. Their crew did great work. Would definitely recommend them.

We have used Capital Construction for home renovation projects as well as new construction (basement) and are always pleased with the quality and design of their work. It is important to them to do the job right and they communicate with you on every phase of the project until it is finished. They don't cut corners and do things right the first time. Capital Construction remodeled our fire place surround and fabricated a barn wood mantle. They were honest, fair, timely and professional! We love the quality of work and the barn wood is awesome! It absolutely transformed our living room. We just hired them again to build a pergola on the back patio.

I hired Capital to finish my basement, 2900 sq. ft. and the theme was to be an Arcade/Game Room. I offered my own assistance in the electrical system and ceiling as I was very anal about certain aspects of the game room (I have owned a few different homes with game rooms). Their personnel worked with me very well, and the finished product exceeded my own very critical expectations. I am extremely happy with the room, and have had several parties where the guests can't stop commenting on the space. Once the project was underway, we made some running changes such as adding a fireplace and a walkout door where a window originally resided. Also added a "Prize Cage" as we went. James and Kelli are great people to work with, and their expert personnel have done a great job. Highly recommend this company and their staff.

We recently had our basement finished by Capital Construction. I was a bit hesitant at first, as Kelli and James were our friends, and it's always concerning to hire friends. Due to this, I interviewed 4 different companies. However, after seeing 2 projects of theirs and calling a few referrals, there was no comparison on who to hire. Capital Construction not only came in with numbers in our budget, but they made it so those numbers came out with incredible results. Kelli was amazing with her communication and scheduling. I knew who was coming and when. Their guys were kind, courteous and so helpful and willing to answer questions. I had absolutely no problem or qualms about leaving the house with the guys in it. Absolutely trustworthy. An overall phenomenal experience, and have no regrets about anything. I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat.

Capital Construction was awesome to work with from start to finish. They provided a very quick reasonable quote, a detailed plan, and tried to stay on schedule even as unforeseen issues cropped up. We will definitely contact them for future projects and would recommend them to anyone.
