We have worked with Carina on three separate home improvement projects, including a major bathroom/bedroom/closet remodel, a new kitchen expansion, and a deck addition. We couldn't be more pleased with how they each have turned out. Carina approached each project with thoughtful creativity and ingenuity, finding fun and clever solutions to create more space than we realized we had. Carina was very professional, easy to work with, and reassured us at every step. She provided great feedback when helping us make decisions, encouraging us using her professional eye and experience, but also giving us lots of decision-making power. She produced drawings quickly within our time line and responded to follow up questions promptly. Her work quality is exceptional; we frequently get asked who our architect was by friends and family when they visit our home.

We hired Carina after she was recommended by a friend for our house remodel. We really liked working with her, but unfortunately she made too many critical mistakes that delayed our project by over a year...

We were so fortunate to find Carina Coel with Restructure Studio to finish the design of our lake house, which we had started with another architect but was unable to complete due to communication problems. Carina's ability to listen and hear what we wanted resulted in a house design that takes advantage of a great view, represents the ideas that we wanted, and has unique features that Carina designed. Carina helped us to identify a good builder, which ended up being a great choice. During the building process, she helped us identify potential problems and provided solutions. Building a house is difficult, but having Carina as our architect made the process much better.

Ms. Coel is a highly talented architect and designer! She is such a good listener, and is extremely creative. My husband and I bought a relatively narrow/long lot near downtown. Her plan for our new home is so unique and interesting; her design created enough outdoor space to give us a small pool, and wonderful outdoor entertaining areas, which was very important to us. As with any building project, along the way, you will encounter little details that require creative solutions. Ms. Coel has handled all with grace and expertise! I cannot say enough about her as a designer and architect, but also as a person. She is genuine, cares about what we wanted in our new home, and is very personally involved in our project, and our family! I am very proud to be working with her, as well as proud to have a home designed by her, as I know that she will be known as a famous architect in Austin on day (very soon!). Our home is just about finished, so I do not have photos of it 100% complete, but we will be putting together a portfolio on Houzz when all is finished.

Carina helped us remodel the kitchen in our 1950s home in Allandale, as well as add on an additional laundry room and storage area. She is fantastic to work with, and does an excellent and thorough job planning spaces, coming up with creative ideas, and understanding the flow of a home. In addition, she is LEED certified and has a wealth of knowledge about green building. We are hoping to use Carina again for a future addition to our house, and can't recommend her highly enough!

We completely remodeled our downstairs and outdoor pool and pool area. It was an extensive job that lasted well over a year. Carina was wonderful to work with throughout the project. She is professional, calm, incredibly thorough and detailed. We could not have gone through this without her. There is a phase two that we're planning for next year and will look forward to working with her again.

Carina helped us with all phases of our complete remodel of a 1960s ranch house in Austin. She was referred to us by friends in Houston for whom she had completed a remodel/addition, and we loved the work she did on their house. We are so pleased with our finished product. My wife and I hired Carina to help us design and execute a remodel of our Austin home. She came to us with excellent referrals and, after completion of the project, we couldn't be more pleased with our choice of architect. Though we added no new sq/ft, Carina played an invaluable role in helping us re-imagine our mid-century home in way that would have been impossible without her insight, creativity, and experience. From raising ceiling heights and changing window/door placements and dimensions, re-designing a clumsy laundry room and replacing a dangerous flight of stairs, to helping select paint colors, countertops and tile, lighting, kitchen and bathroom fixtures/finishes, Carina had the expertise and industry contacts that allowed us to make informed design and construction choices that met all our taste and budget requirements. We are not only appreciative of Carina's architectural skills, but on a personal level, we also enjoyed having her around our house. She is extremely professional but is also very warm, with an engaging personality and a pervasive sense of optimism that was always welcome during the 8 months of construction. During our remodel Carina was always responsive and easy to get ahold of whenever we had questions or concerns, or during one of her many site visits. She was always available to meet with our GC and subs if additional detail was necessary around a particular architectural detail. She is flexible with change orders--balancing the appropriate level of architectural acumen with our design requirements.
