Carrie Value was a delight to work with. She has top-notch skills, a great sense of style, and added a lot to the management of our homebuilding project. Whether you want high fashion, budget basics, or somewhere in between, Carrie knew how to pull it all together to create a great look that turned out way better than we could have created by ourselves. She is knowledgeable about the construction process, and leverages her organizational skills to keep ahead of project needs, keep the schedule on track, and keep the Contractor focused. Personal Style: Carrie knew how to gently guide us through the process - always helpful without being pushy. And for those times we got stuck and couldn't make a decision, she knew when we needed a bit more pressure to get us moving and the outcome was always great. Carrie has many relationships with key suppliers, and works well with Owners, Contractors, Subcontractors, and Vendors to stay focused on results. Overall Value: We were initially skeptical in hiring an interior design consultant. But as her last name implies, Carrie delivered great value for us. With Carrie's help in making smart purchasing decisions and eliminating mistakes we might have made otherwise, we feel that throughout the project we saved more in costs than Carrie charged for her fee. Interior Expressions is a good investment! Working with Carrie Value at Interior Expressions turned out to be the highlight in our homebuilding project. We have worked with Carrie for over 15 years on various home design/decorating projects. She is a true professional with great ideas and resources. She consistently exhibits a practical approach that has given us options on both choices and costs. She is also an excellent communicator regarding the details, status and cost of projects. The first and most important item Carrie Value with Interior Expressions did for me was to set a realistic budget. This gave me the financial limits I needed to achieve my kitchen restoration vision. I had drawn up preliminary plans for the kitchen layout and selected appliances, but Carrie took my plans and suggested materials that fit my budget and completely in line with my concept. Her suggestions were so good, I choose them all. I'm particularly grateful to her finding the perfect tile for the backsplash. During a remodeling project it's easy to get 'decision-fatigue' so I was relieved to not have to decide from too many options. Carrie was easy to work with, a great communicator, very sensitive to my preferences, and as her name indicates - a true value.

We retained Carrie Value (Interior Expressions) after she was recommended by our builder. We were looking for a designer who could help shape and fulfill our vision for our custom family home at the Whitetail resort in McCall, Idaho. Carrie has an impressive track record, and we believed her approach aligned well with the mountain modern design (with some traditional elements) we had created with our architect. At the outset, Carrie asked thoughtful questions. This enabled her to thoroughly understand how we intended to use our home so her input could be tailored to our needs. She quickly grasped our vision while helping us further define and even expand our ideas. Because of her clear understanding of our design themes, we ultimately retained Carrie to also assist us in the daunting task of selecting many of the furnishings for our home. Perhaps unlike other designers, Carrie fully understands the detailed construction process and timeline, and particularly the unique requirements for building in a mountain environment like McCall. Importantly, her experience and familiarity with the building process enabled her to work seamlessly with our builder and the numerous subcontractors. Her organizational skills and project discipline helped keep us all organized. She always made herself available and did an exemplary job outlining the key deliverables and dates. Carrie was a great help and very professional on my remote and not so easy project! I found Carrie to be very organized, accommodating and resourceful. If you hire Carrie for your project, you will not regret it! My husband and I have built many projects together as a married couple, but had never worked with a designer before building our lake house. My husband graduated from the University of Idaho architecture program and building our lake house was his work of heart for our family. Bringing Carrie in on the project proved to be one of the best decisions we could have made! Carrie is organized, resourceful, thorough, great at time management, creative and had so many fun ideas! Carrie has built connections and relationships with many sub-contractors (which in a small resort town is invaluable). Building a vacation home while living elsewhere can be tough as you are not there to follow up on things, see which decisions need made next, update subs and efficiently schedule everyone and Carrie worked hand in hand with our builder and subs. Carrie made sure decisions were made on time and she ordered everything for us, stored it, delivered it, returned things if needed, etc. I truly believe that without Carrie, our project would have taken twice as long and we wouldn’t have had the result that we have! Our builder, BC Builders, is so talented and we also can not say enough wonderful things about him. On top of Carrie being great at her job, she is fun to hang out with! Carrie will push you to make decisions and is not afraid to let you know if she doesn’t agree with your decision. But, that is why you hire a designer! If you show her a picture or have a crazy idea, Carrie will make it happen! We cannot recommend Carrie enough for your project!
