Castle Design

Emily came up with a number of innovative ideas for my kitchen remodel. She was creative, prompt and highly professional. I hope to work with her again in the future!

We are working with Emily Castle of Castle Design. We are building a new house, and are not completed yet, but so far, Emily is truly a professional. Precise, efficient, thorough, and extremely wonderful to work with!

We worked with Emily Castle to renovate our kitchen, bathroom and family room in 2009. She is absolutely a pleasure to work with! She is extremely dependable and highly professional, efficient in using our time together, trustworthy when recommending other professionals to provide services as needed, and always sees to it that we receive a high standard of workmanship and that the project moves along in a timely manner. She immediately handles issues of concern as they arise and provides clear-cut options for us to consider so that decisions can be made quickly and with wonderful results. We are absolutely thrilled with the outcome, and we will continue to use Castle Design for future projects.

I researched Castle Design online before setting up an appointment with Emily and have been absolutely thrilled with how they've helped me. First of all, Emily is totally professional - always on time, always prepared to make our discussions as efficient and productive as possible. She somehow find the right balance between giving direction and 'corralling' the decision making, without making me feel that my choices have been limited. Some pieces, we've decided after seeing a couple of choices, others have required several rounds, but I never feel forced to agree or feel bad about asking for more choices. She also keeps me moving forward, again, without rushing me. It's a great balance - and a great partnership.

Recently we decided to divide our time between Tucson and St. Louis. Because we still have our home in Tucson, much of our furniture stayed in Arizona. In St Louis, we wanted to be in the heart of things but not have to concern ourselves with maintaining a lot of space. We selected an apartment overlooking Forest Park, and we expected to socialize a fair amount. What we wanted Castle Design to do was to help us maximize a sense of comfort and space for us and our guests. We are delighted with the outcome. Emily did a wonderful job in helping us find furniture and lighting that got the "feel" we were looking for. Our conversation pit works beautifully, and we are all able to enjoy the St. Louis skyline and feel a part of Forest Park from the apartment. We have come to trust Emily's instincts and sense of design.

Castle Design lead my wife and I through a thorough updating of kitchen, family room, bath and a beautiful new sunroom extension. It's been several years since the redesign was completed and we still love the space and its features. And, we continue to hear nothing but praise from first-time visitors. Emily Castle was our partner on this project and she was terrific to work with. Early on, she determined our budget and then worked to keep us within our goal. Emily never overpowered with her recommendations and we were routinely amazed at her ability to find/choose the right accent elements that appealed to us. I need to also add that Emily had a knack for navigating the tension when my wife and I disagreed on fixtures/cabinets, etc. Our experience with Castle Design could not have been better!

We worked with Emily Castle for our living room, master bedroom, entry room and formal dinning room. Emily is professional, friendly, creative, and has great taste. After our house was completed, we have received the highest compliments from family, friends, and guests. The gutting and the restoration of a large condominium can be an agonizing, painful experience. From the very beginning, however, our eight month project with Castle Design,(CD), in the role of Interior Design and Job Supervisor, allowed us to go to bed every night smiling. Castle Design, led by Emily Castle, provided all work drawings, supervised the general contractor and all subs and if any flaws in materials or workmanship occurred, CD had them replaced at the suppliers expense. CD was available to us almost on a 24/7 basis in advising on every room in the condo including: all appliances, fabrics, floor coverings, wall colors, two large offices, a large wine cellar, 5 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms and a 600 sq. foot modern new kitchen/pantry which was central to the flow to all areas. With Emily Castle's architectural ability, forward thinking and cost savings design ability, every piece of furniture we owned was shown on a scaled floor plan with little need to add to or replace -- everything we owned fit beautifully. When something was needed, CD knew exactly where to take us to find the desired item be it furniture, carpeting, hardware, etc. CD's honesty, transparency and ethics were a major asset to our job.
