I am an Interior Designer that has had the priviledge of working with Charanza Contracting. I think they are one of the BEST contractors in this city. They have been very professional from the first meeting, bidding process and construction phases. They are realistic with the time lines and expectations. Kenneth knows what he is doing and puts everything in a contract. Ben is the Project Manager and has always been courteous and very professional. He works together to discuss all the details and his follow up is excellent. I will always call on Charanza Contracting for my residential remodeling clients.

My husband and I recently completed one of the most exciting projects of our lives - we had my childhood home completely remodeled to be our new home. The best decision we made was choosing Charanza Contracting. Kenneth is one of the most attentive, honest, and reliable people I have been privileged to know and work with. He truly approached our project as if it were his own home. He was dedicated to accomplishing our goals & plans as well as bringing other options to the table. His attention to detail as well as his 'getting things done right ' approach (not just getting things done) are qualities of a true craftsman and they show in every aspect of our home. The vibe that resonates through Charanza Contracting is that of organization, integrity, and innovation. We couldn't be more pleased with our new home - it was a wonderful experience from beginning to end!

I am extremely difficult to please. I also pay extremely close attention to detail. I demand responsiveness and accountability in the people that I choose to work with. Kenneth checked every single box for us. Our home had been severely damaged in the hurricane and Kenneth worked with us to get back to normal. He was thoughtful, responsive, incredibly professional, kind, thorough, honest, direct and a skilled craftsman. We couldn't have been happier with how the remodeling job went. To be sure, it was a huge undertaking since our entire downstairs had been flooded in Harvey. Our home looks really nice - once again - and we couldn't be happier. Of course, the work took longer than we would have liked but it wasn't for lack of effort on Charanza's part. These guys do beautiful work. They took care of us like family listening to our every request and complaint. They were responsive and extremely fair. There weren't any surprises and the quality of the job was beyond our expectations. If you are looking for quality craftsmanship, value and an uber-professional to work with - look no further.

I love to bake and cook, and therefore I have always wanted my dream kitchen. Charanza Contracting (Kenneth and Mundee) made this dream come true for me. My kitchen had a complete remodel, down to the studs with new plumbing also. They knocked down walls to make the kitchen and den open to each other. The doorway to the dining area was opened up to better connect the kitchen and dining room. Since we sat down with Kenneth on day one and I told him what I wanted ...he knew exactly what he needed to do. My appliances were shifted from one place to another, I have beautiful cabinets, flooring, windows and appliances. We took this construction into the back hallway and the powder room, foyer and up the staircase. They sanded and re stained my block paneling in the den. A huge built in bookshelf was removed giving us more openness in the den and less clutter. The kitchen, den and foyer got a a new color of paint and beautiful flooring. The workers were wonderful, pleasant and NEVER left a mess at the end of the day. Kenneth made a point of coming by very often day and evening to check on progress and how we were doing. I have LOVED my kitchen, and it makes my love of cooking and baking so much more pleasant. You CANNOT go wrong with Charanza's. Kenneth and his wife Mundee are wonderful to work with and run a very honest business. Thank you Kenneth and Mundee for making my dream come true.

We hired Charanza Contracting in the summer of 2016 to update/remodel our house and to add an outside addition. Through out the whole process, we were so impressed with Kenneth's professionalism and his attention to detail. He always gave us honest opinions and worked very closely with us to make sure we knew what was happening every step of the way. He helped us turn our backyard from a mud pit to a beautiful outdoor living space that includes a pool, a kitchen and a covered seating area. Kenneth is highly trust worthy. He was a joy to work with, and he even feels like part of our family now!

We had met Kenneth and Mundee Charanza through high school activities because their children were the same age as ours. When we purchased a piece of property in the Texas Hill Country, we started making plans to replace the house that existed on the property. Dreading the experience of finding a builder that we knew nothing about, my wife and I started talking to them to see if they had any interest. That was the best decision we ever made. Living in Houston and building in Pipe Creek Texas couldn’t have been easier. Charanza Contracting handled interactions with the architect, building a beautiful home, demolition of the previous house on the property, selling off marketable “antique” beams from the old house, and building a guest house.The guest house was built where the old house was demolished utilizing as much of the slab as possible, incorporating the old fireplace, and salvaging everything they could to keep the costs as low as possible. To add to their versatility, they then constructed two barns, and added an outdoor kitchen and living area to the main house. Amazingly we are still talking and more than before! Kenneth is very detailed oriented and makes sure things are done right. They won’t be the least expensive in the beginning, but over time the difference in quality probably makes them very competitive. It is a pleasure to write this review and recommend Charanza Contracting after the successful completion of our Kitchen remodel. From the design phase, through construction, and after completion Kenneth has demonstrated a professionalism that has been unmatched by any other contractor I have dealt with previously (this is our third major project in this house alone). He and his team offered sound advice, provided an eye for detail, and a determination to complete the job to our satisfaction. He was always available to talk through my questions and concerns...no matter how ridiculous. The ultimate compliment that I could give is that I would (and likely will considering our propensity to remodel) hire Charanza Contracting again without hesitation and I recommend Kenneth and this team to anyone who will listen.

If you're looking for a contractor that pays attention to details and works with the client to ensure a quality result than you need to hire Charanza Contracting. They're not necessarily the low bid but in the long run you'll save any frustration and angst in getting your desires fulfilled. This is the 2nd project we have used Charanza for (that is testimony in itself) and was a major project to update an 80's era house. Basically, every wall was taken down to open up the floor plan. Ken Charanza and his crew are exceptional. They take care in being certain things are done correctly, any changes to the project are reviewed with you to ensure there is no misunderstanding. Everything is done to code and the highest standards. The subcontractors he uses have long term relationships, trustworthy and are of the same quality as Charanza. The construction site is kept organized. At the end of the project, anything that needs to be corrected is taken care of. We couldn't be more pleased with the results and looking forward to enjoying the renovations for many years. My last word, is hire Charanza and you will not regret the decision.

Charanza Contracting is the 'Gold Standard' of contractors. We've done several projects with Kenneth Charanza and his team of gifted trades with beautiful outcomes. His care, attention to detail, and quality of workmanship is second to none. His crews know they are working in homes and treat them with care and respect. This means a clean work site, trusted crews and meeting deadlines. Time is taken on the front end to ensure a smooth process. This means all decisions made, materials are selected and usually on site before a project begins. This helps make deadlines and meet budgets. Let's face it- remodeling is invasive and dusty. Having all decisions made on the front end saves time and helps the process flow smoothly. On every project we've done jointly, the homeowners have referred both of our companies. As a designer, our designs are brought to life by the contractor. I only work with and refer contractors I know well and can trust can to do our work. Because we work so closely with a contractor, it is vital we have good communication, respect and problem solving skills with each other.
