Envision landscape studios made my yard look like a celebrities yard and i was very happy with their work

My mother in law used Envision Landscape studio to embellish her home. They were very professional and kindly explained the costs of everything before I was billed and the work was done.

We have bought three new homes and as a result have a great deal of experience working with contractors. Like most people, our experience has been mixed with some contractors performing well and many contractors that gave us significant headaches for a variety of reasons. After working with Envision Landscape Studio on our large and complex landscaping project we can honestly say that Envision is BY FAR the best experience we’ve ever had with any contractor for a variety of reasons. Our design was very complex with many features including a full outdoor kitchen, a LARGE and complex water feature, a gas fire pit, multiple concrete and flagstone patios and stone features and literally hundreds of plants. We knew we were dealing with a competent and quality contractor immediately by the quality of the quote we received from Envision based on our landscaping architect’s set of plans. The level of detail was amazing with every area, hardscape, planting, irrigation, lighting, electrical, gas etc. broken down in great detail so we could see exactly what we were getting and what we were paying for what we were getting. Next, Colin helped us with some “value engineering” that allowed us to trim costs on the project without losing any important elements of the design. From the moment our project began we were amazed at the pace at which the project progressed. None of this you see them for a couple of days then they disappear for several days. In addition to the brisk pace of the project we began to see the quality of the workmanship in EVERY area was nothing short of outstanding. The hardscape, the stonework, the irrigation and drainage systems, etc. And any time we expressed concern over something that we didn’t feel was quite right it was immediately corrected to our satisfaction without questioning. Also, as the project progressed we decided to add additional features and these new features were rapidly developed and built so they didn’t look like last minute add-ons (which they were!). Our project is now complete and my wife and I are THRILLED with our landscaping and we have received a tremendous amount of unsolicited positive feedback from our entire neighborhood. In summary, we give Envision Landscape Studios an “A+” rating in every category. From the quality of the work, to the amazing customer support, to the flexibility in designing and adding features to the timeliness of the project completion. Envision is by far the best experience we have had with any contractor in the 30 years we have been working with contractors. We could not recommend them more highly. If we were to buy another new home we wouldn't even put the landscaping out to bid with other contractors, and that says a LOT!

I recently had the opportunity to remodel my kitchen. I was on a limited budget but knew there were certain items I had to have. I wanted soapstone countertops, wolf cooktop, shaw farmhouse sink and faucet, and new cabinets. Well, after pricing out all my wants, I realized something had to go. I decided I could live with the cabinets if they were refinished and if I upgraded the knobs. I called Julie at Creative Walls by Julie,as I had used her several years before. My contractor kept telling me it was a shame that I was not replacing my old 1980's cabinets. Well, Julie did her magic. I was so thrilled and my contractor was so impressed. He thought they were new cabinets. He couldn't believe it. I have used her again for my laundry room cabinets and my dining room chairs. Julie is an amazing artist. I say this because everything she does looks like a piece of art!

Envision landscaped the front area of our home in Orinda. This included major demo of existing driveways and sidewalks, removal of overgrown oleanders and some trees, as well as extensive re-plantings, lighting and hardscaping and some minor drainage work. We wanted a very modern look, using drought tolerant plants. Envision delivered a fantastic result that is modern, yet natural. The crew was skilled and very hardworking. Communication with landscape architect was excellent. Highly recommended, great experience.

From concept, through design, and completion of installation, Colin and his crew have been a pleasure to work with. Envision Landscape Studio solved a lot of problems for blending a new drought tolerant landscape into my existing mature stand of trees. The combination of hardscape and plant materials fits the neighborhood, yet still provides a unique visual experience. Colin brought a lot of practical experience to this task, as well as a good eye for plant selection and placement. Since he was good at listening to my expectations and desires, the project felt like a collaboration for producing a visually pleasing landscape with the potential for longterm ease of maintenance. The crew of workers at Envision are fast, efficient, conscientious, and skilled at all tasks brought to this project. I am looking forward to the maturing of the various plant materials. Project involved removal of 5000 sq ft of lawn, installation of a decorative retaining wall, garden paths, placement of large boulders with the help of two cranes, installation of a water feature, replacing all irrigation with drip, amending soil, planting, and mulching.

Colin's vision and design for our yard was spectacular. He did so much more with the space than I had ever dreamed possible. He really listened to our needs and desires and made it all happen. The crew was reliable, trustworthy, and respectful. Colin and his crew stand behind all of their work. About 1 year after the completion of the project one of our blue stone tiles cracked. With one simple email, the crew came out and fixed it. We have loved working with Colin and can't wait for him to do our next project. I may have given 4.5 stars if that was an option because the project ended up taking a couple months longer than expected.

Envision designed and constructed both our front and back yards. We used a different fence company for the fencing, but Envision did everything else, fully transforming our outdoor area and making our outdoor living space much more comfortable and useable - full-scale planting and irrigation, concrete work, water features, fire pit. Colin has a beautiful sense of modern landscape design, he's very responsive and professional, and holds high standards for his work. If something wasn't right, he would have his crew fix it. His crew is incredibly hard-working, fast and efficient, professional. The project took several months longer than we expected, due to a fatally flawed water feature design. But where most companies would have thrown their hands up in defeat, Colin and his team pressed through multiple iterations and kept problem-solving until the water feature met the intended design. I can't say enough about his dedication and commitment to quality and excellence. I would hire this company again in a heartbeat.

Envision did a fantastic job on my Lafayette home. We researched many different architects and contractors. We wanted great design at an affordable price. I will admit we went above our budget, but that was at our discretion. Colin was willing to work with us to keep things within budget by keeping some of our existing plants and changing some items (e.g. doing solar lighting instead of low voltage wiring). We LOVE our new back and front yard. We wanted to make the investment as we hope to stay in our house for a very long time. Colin listened to us and incorporated all of our wishes into his design.

What a wonderful company. Colin completely transformed our backyard with a creative mix of clean modern features while somehow managing to retain its traditional cottage charm. I don't know how he did it, but he was able to take a sloped yard with essentially three different levels and make them flow together as one connected space. Incredibly creative, talented, professional and courteous, this company is absolutely top notch and tops my list of the many contractors and builders I have worked with over the years. Beautiful craftsmanship, excellent work ethic and fine attention to detail. I couldn't be happier.

I have installed the carpentry work on several of Colin's designs. Its evident working off Colin's plans that he puts a lot of thought into the actual details and installation techniques. His designs are unique, clean and installation of his designs are a breeze. I think the finished product is one of the most important aspects of every job and this is where Envision Landscape does not disappoint. My customers who have hired Colin are always more than happy with the experience they have working with him. I highly recommend Envision Landscape Studio!

I hired Colin Miller to build a carport and privacy fence in my front yard. He was great to work with. I only had to meet with him one time before each phase of work because he just "got it". Not only did he understand and share my vision for the project, but he exceeded my expectations! Both the carport and fence look perfect. (even my neighbors complimented me on how great they look) The project was done in a timely fashion and on budget. I will hire Colin again for my next project.
