Having worked with Kim McGowan in the past, I can attest to her professionalism, creativity, vision and execution. Kim was a pleasure to work with. She is pleasant, easygoing and a dedicated hard worker who holds herself to high standards. Kim has a great eye and loves what she does, as is evident in the beautiful, livable spaces she creates. She truly listens to her clients and has a wealth of design experience to call upon to bring the collaborative design to successful completion.

Last summer I saw a sunroom vignette in the window at Simon Pearce that caught my eye done by Charette Interior Design. I loved the color palette as well as the small details. I immediately contacted Kim for a color consultation as I wanted a similar pallete for the exterior paint project for my mid century modern house in the Hollywood Hills. Although Kim is a noted interior designer, I thought she would understand my plight as I had quickly learned there are well over 50 shades of gray (more like 500). Without sounding overly dramatic, grays are simply overwhelming with so many options. Kim fully understood what I wanted and we chose a green based dark charcoal gray for the siding & stucco with a neutral lighter cool gray for the carport interior. The pairing is perfect! I was also struggling with a zillion accent colors for the exterior doors off my carport that are quite visible from the street. I consulted with Kim again who immediately recognized the issue I was having and cut to the chase. To create a cohesive indoor/outdoor flow, we stuck with doing a green accent. Kim encouraged me to think beyond the typical apple green and explore more chartreusey tones. I appreciated her pushing me to think beyond my comfort zone whilst still creating an elegant yet distinctive palate. Kim's true understanding of color and her patience were key for me in the process. I highly recommend her talents!

Kim was a true delight to partner with. Her level of professionalism combined with her contemporary yet cozy sense of style create spaces that are livable luxury. I would whole-heartedly recommend Kim for anything from refurbishing a single room to designing the interiors of either an entire business or residence.
