Christie Sobran Designs

I met Christie years ago when she helped me out with a few small projects. She was so lovely to work with and extremely helpful with ideas. Fast forward to this year. I moved into an almost empty house and had to furnish and decorate the whole space. Christie was invaluable. She measured out each room and gave me exact specifications for the furniture and carpets. She had lots of suggestions and was a great sounding board for my ideas. In addition, Christie had many connections for the work that had to be done and made sure that the work progressed as quickly as possible. A potentially stressful time was made so much better by her calm presence, excellent advice and responsiveness.

Working with Christie was such a great experience. She’s so friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and really took the time to understand our style. She respected our budget and helped us transform rooms we truly love. We couldn’t recommend her more!

This is our third project with Christie and we couldn't be happier. She listens to your requirements, doesn't try to upsell you and is sensitive to your taste but will push you to branch out. We just redecorated our family room but wanted to keep the rug and window treatment and she made it work seamlessly. She picked out furniture that was not only beautiful (my requirement) but also comfortable (my husband's requirement)! She kept within our budget and we love the room! Highly recommned working with Christie. It's always a pleasure.

With in minutes of meeting Christie I knew she was the designer for me. I was feeling overwhelmed. We had just finished gutting our first floor. Now came time for the decorating. I had a blank slate. I couldn’t figure out where to begin. A friend recommended Christie. She was sure I’d like her and boy was she right!!! She listened and got my style right away!!! My house came together so quick. Christie helped with all my window treatments, paint, wallpaper in several rooms and multiple rugs. She is delightful to work with. My only regret was not knowing her sooner. It would have been so much easier working with her during the construction portion of my project. I had too many sleepless nights!!! Christie has impeccable style and is very detailed oriented. The icing on the cake is I made a really nice friend.

Hiring Christie was one of the best decisions we made at the start of our renovation. She made an overwhelming process painless and fun; she was truly fantastic to work with. We renovated three full bathrooms and a kitchen. She understood our vision and put together beautiful spaces while always keeping our budget and other considerations (young kids, lifestyle) in mind when helping us plan the flow and design of the rooms. Christie has a keen eye for design and incredible attention to detail. My husband and I have somewhat different style preferences and she managed to incorporate our ideas and preferences into beautiful, timeless spaces that we both love. I have already recommended Christie to my friends and family and will be using her again for future projects.

We have worked with Christie on several projects. Our most recent project with her was a complete renovation of a condominium which also included the updating of a screened porch. Christie is excellent with space planning. She redesigned our kitchen so that it functions perfectly and gives us a huge amount of storage space. She was able to take our vague likes and dislikes and turn them into a charming and cohesive space. Christie has cultivated relationships with various resources such as tile stores, stone warehouses and plumbing supply showrooms all of which makes picking materials a fairly simple process. She was also great at advising us what furniture could be kept and reupholstered and also in working around family pieces that we wanted to keep. Christie is always very professional we find communicating with her very easy. She is skilled in working with contractors and other tradespeople. This was all very important as we were not living in the home during renovations.

Christie has worked with us on a number of projects, ranging from extensive bathroom renovations to house-wide updates and redesigns. She adroitly managed many contractors, designed our numerous projects from the ground up all the way to completion, and adapted to changing circumstances and concerns. Her deep knowledge of design, products, retailers, and people allowed her to present us with worthwhile options on pretty much anything while simultaneously guiding us safely to happy outcomes and decisions with her sound advice. Her eye for details, careful listening skills, and genial demeanor made working with her a delightful experience, especially given Christie's willingness to advocate enthusiastically on our behalf. We'd heartily recommend Christie for any of your home design projects.

Christie was a pleasure to work with throughout our kitchen renovation keeping us grounded when normal glitches came up here and there. Unexpectedly, our 14 year old dog passed away in the midst of everything and she was so compassionate and empathetic. Christie is a seasoned professional who is creative, responsive and helped us to visualize every step of the project. She kept our budget in mind and also helped tremendously with the many decisions needed to be made especially when we struggled to make a decision. Christie has a calming personality that meshes well with the chaos of a renovation and the multitude of issues that come up. Christie was a delight to work with. Our project consisted of an open concept kitchen and living space, as well as a guest bathroom. Christie was able to find the potential in our space and her drawings were invaluable for helping us visualize the design. Her suggestions made our space more practical and she always had alternate ideas to offer. She was able to incorporate my husband and my design preferences. Her help with selecting paint colors, flooring, and sourcing of materials was crucial. She kept our budget in mind and was very accommodating to our schedule.
