Chris Phelps took a few ideas in our heads and pictures in our hands to design for us the most beautiful and functional home. We could not imagine going through this process with someone of lesser creativity and skill. He listened attentively to our ideas and asked questions that tapped into unspoken goals. We hired Chris Phelps to design our new home and really enjoyed working with him. Chris was responsive, professional, and showed great creativity during the process. He was also very helpful in understanding and communicating the way each feature or design choice would impact the budget and what the trade offs for each choice would be. We had never used a professional architect or building company in any of our previous builds. The location of this home and the fact that this was to be our "empty nest" home, we wanted the best and Mr. Phelps took our inspiration photos and expectations and put them to paper. If we didn't like it, he would change it. The process was methodical but worth it. We started completely from just a list of wants and some pictures and off it went from here. We are amazed at his talent and ability and would use him again!!

Chris's design was near perfect on the first draft. With the small changes we collectively made, our house turned out beyond our expectations. Chris was extremely creative and practical in the design.
