Chris Tovar and Tovar Construction Company, LLC deserve at least a 7-star rating (where 5 stars would be excellent). "Excellent" doesn't do justice to the extraordinary level of Chris Tovar’s refreshing professionalism and true craftsmanship. Before we retained Tovar Construction as our general contractor for an extensive ($120,000+ in 2016 and 2017) series of remodeling, renovation and repair projects to our house in the Northshore Lake Travis area, we researched many general contractors. Chris Tovar was the most responsive, and he took a genuine interest in bidding on our projects—he separated himself from the “crowd”. The contracting phase was easy and Chris Tovar went above and beyond any written words to make all aspects of the projects—foreseen and unforeseen—run as smoothly as possible. He was always available and accountable—never trying to “pass off” responsibility. Communication is so important to the success of any large-scale home remodeling and repair project, and Chris Tovar is excellent at that. Chris is a man of his word, honest, knowledgeable, skillful, helpful and patient. He is hands-on and his trades network is also excellent (with one subcontractor problem that Chris “grabbed by the horns” and handled for us to a positive conclusion). Tovar Construction’s stonework and masonry professionals are top of the line and deserve special mention. We collaborated on the design of a beautiful addition of an exterior curved stone stairway with custom railings and Bevolo copper gas lanterns on top of 2 stone columns at the base of the stairs, which end in a large stone patio in our backyard—totally transforming the look and usefulness of our backyard entertaining areas—gorgeous! The stone masonry is a beautiful work of art showing old-world pride in craftsmanship. We also had leaks repaired in one of our chimneys, stucco walls, steel roof, and balconies. We replaced exterior tile flooring and installed custom-designed steel railings on all 3 exterior levels on the back of our house. We upgraded the exterior soffit lights and landscape lighting and had the entire house painted outside—it has never looked better! Tovar Construction also did some interior work and replaced a leaking window on our 3rd floor. We told Chris that we wanted to make this house our family's "legacy home", and the Tovar Construction team really came through! We couldn't have been more impressed or happier with Chris Tovar and Tovar Construction. Better still, during the naturally stressful remodeling process, Chris Tovar became a trusted family friend. We recently purchased a home with plans of a complete kitchen remodel, and needed someone we could trust and a contractor with an eye for quality. That is what Tovar Construction delivered. Owner Chris Tovar provided quality assurance in ever step of the project. We are very pleased with our new kitchen.

Tovar Construction has done several jobs for us, exceeding all of our expectations for them. We had a somewhat difficult job to make our back deck better and his team did just that. Our most recent job was painting our house , with various elevations around it. All was done beautifully, with each day cleaning up and leaving my home looking fine. The final result was a house that looks new, and even more minor things corrected along the way with an additional small job prior to the painting. Everyone that works for Chris is friendly yet professional and they know what to do with a instruction from their supervisor in charge of the jobs. Chris Tovar has a built stores at Round Rock Premium Outlets during my tenure as Operations Director 2006-2008 and has been on schedule with every project. Tovar Construction put a concrete topping on the floor in our house. We were going to stain the concrete but ended up with unforeseen problems with a concrete filler we used for the holes that were left behind after removing the carpet tack strips. They came in and laid a topping over the existing concrete. We then stained and sealed the floor and all the people that see our floor comment on the now stained floor. Most comments were on the texture from the topping. Everyone LOVES the look. The men that came in to do the job worked tirelessly to get the job completed in a timely manner. They were very professional in their work and their work ethic. We are VERY satisfied with the work done and the price charged. Thank you Tovar Construction for a job WELL DONE!

I have used Tovar Construction on several projects, from simple door replacement, to large commercial remodeling. I always feel at ease with the Supervisor on site listening to my requests and/or demands, and doing whatever is necessary to make them happen. Chris is an owner/operator in the sense that he follows up on every detail to make the task a success. The Tovar Construction Company are skilled professionals that can be relied upon to do what they say they will do and at a fair price. Since 2011 the Tovar crew have done renovations in our building which included breaking down and building walls, running new electric hook ups, painting, etc.

The siding on the back of my house needed replacing. Chris had the low bid. His crew found some additional damage when they removed the old siding. They repaired everything, calked, painted, and did an excellent job cleaning up. I would not hesitate to use him again or recommend him to my friends.
