Our kitchen was original to the house we are in so it was way overdue for a change. After visiting Classic, we knew exactly what we were doing with the new space and we love the new Cabinets and kitchen. I have to pinch myself every morning when I walk into the kitchen. It is a literal game changer for us. Thanks Classic!

Our cabinets were just completed and we were quite happy with the end result. All workers from the company that came to our house were top notch and were quite approachable. On a few occasions I did email about a few concerns and always received telephone calls and emails back in a very timely manner. Yes it may take awhile for your reno to be complete but be assured that they will be there for you till things are right. It was overall a good experience and one that I would recommend to others. Executive Summary: Really love our new kitchen and would 100% recommend working with Classic Kitchens in Whitby! Details: We had our kitchen done with Classic from approx August to November 2021. The duration was a bit longer than expected but I think this was largely due to Covid-related things and not entirely controllable. Our project was substantial and involved all cabinetry, new tile floor, lighting, and opening up a small portion of wall. The most important thing to say is that all this was done completely within the original budget planned, and that the quality of the workmanship and the materials used was just awesome. The quality of the cabinetry and hardware are great, we really love the tile floor and it was laid extremely well and precisely. The upfront quoting and design as well was thorough and accurate - as with any major reno, there are things that you can't help but discover along the way that invariably alter the plans, but these were all handled gracefully and reasonably. Overall really happy with the product & service!

The team at Classic (Chris, Deb, Jeff and Angela) were a dream to work with. They listened carefully to what we wanted and translated that into our gorgeous kitchen. Always helpful with suggestions but never pushy and with the lense that we have to love it and live with what we chose. Responsive with communication and they use an app with a calendar so we could always have a live view as to what was next in the process - that was one of the most helpful parts of the project. The tradespeople and contractors were all respectful and talented. We didn't know what to expect with construction during the pandemic however masks were always worn and social distancing respected. The schedule was adhered to - something we were worried about given the pandemic but they delivered on time and on budget - no surprises or hidden costs. 5 plus stars. Can't recommend enough and already looking forward to our next project - the bathrooms!

What began as a kitchen renovation soon became a bathroom and laundry room renovation as well! We are so pleased with the results. Our dated and poorly designed kitchen Is now everything we had hoped for. It is bright and so much more functional with all the additional storage and counter space. Hard to believe that Angela was able to accomplish this in such a small kitchen. Angela, Debbie, Chris and Jeff were a pleasure to deal with, as were the crews that they sent to complete the work. After having a few different companies provide layout options and pricing we decided to go with Classic Kitchens. Chris Johnson was the only designer who was able to come up with a plan that would work with our existing space and we absolutely love it. Although our existing kitchen wasn't terrible, it definitely didn't have enough storage, flow and functionality. That is no longer an issue. Any issue that arose Chris and his team were quick to resolve it. I would like to give a shout out to Mark, Ryan and Jeff (the team that comes and does the tear out and other parts of the renovation). These guys are awesome and we enjoyed getting to know them as our renovation was taking place. As for the different tradespeople that were part of our job we would highly recommend Ryan (PR Plumbing), Jamie (Wizard Electrical) and Steve (Steve's Renovations) who did our flooring and backsplash. Their professionalism, respect and communication with us was excellent. We decided to upgrade a few other things that included extending the new flooring to our hallway, foyer, powder room and laundry room. We also upgraded the bathroom vanity (we provided it) and Classic did the installation. I was happy to be home during the renovation and able to stay on top of things. One thing I would recommend is better communication between Classic Kitchens and the tradespeople. We ran into a couple issues that could have been avoided, however everything was always resolved eventually. We now have a kitchen we will love for years to come. Thank you Classic for the amazing job.

The initial visit from Chris to our home gave us a very good impression. Although we completed our homework before calling for quotes, the first meeting can quickly make or break your confidence in a company. Chris listened to our desires and asked several questions to clarify things we would prefer, while giving us information to think about and further look into. He was extremely knowedgable and patient with us through the entire process from start to finish. A week later he had completed a computer aided design and showed us the views from different angles with a 3D model, including removing a window we had that essentially looked into a fence. When we were coming in to see the design we had planned to ask him about that option (as it was not something we had discussed previously). Well he already had done it! At that point we asked questions about potential changes and he was able to show us how that would look with a few clicks, but in the end we just kept his original design. He had even designed into the base of the table a spot for our dog crate as we requested. It was not a difficult decision at that point as we had a comfort level with Chris and we loved the design! When we signed on Chris gave us a copy of the design and said keep that and you will see how it looks just like the image in the end (which it does!). We also decided to scrape all the ceilings on the main level of the house and install pot lights, in addition to removing a load bearing wall to create an open concept between the kitchen and family room. Chris also was understanding that we had already committed to a hardwood flooring company given we were planning to do flooring before we decided to also remove the wall and renovate the kitchen. He also was receptive to us doing our own painting. Once work began things moved quickly and their workers and subcontractors (plumbing, electrical, drywall, tile, etc.) were all hardworking, pleasant and cleaned up very well. Angela and Jeff scheduled the work and dealt with any concerns we had, which were addressed immediately including with site visits as required. The schedule and extras costs (only items that we asked for) were continually updated for us to monitor on BuilderTrend which was a great way to stay informed on what was upcoming. The end result speaks to the quality of the materials and workmanship. The cabinets are exceptional and far superior to others we had seen. There were many options to choose from for counters, tiles, hardware, faucet and sink which Debbie worked with us to select. Chris also provides a contact with a local appliance supplier who provides unbeatable pricing. In summary, if you are looking for a company for a great design, high quality, fair pricing, to stand behind their work and an opportunity to work with great people then I encourage you to give Classic a call. I was very impressed with the level of detail in the quotes and the detail and quality of the workmanship! Our designers were great at helping us realize our vision for the spaces and offered guidance and advice on things we never would have thought of. Any questions we had along the way were addressed quickly. We were most impressed when we were periodically told that some items were replaced that we didn't even know or see had slight flaws or bumps. We are loving our kitchen! From the moment we looked at the online photos of kitchens that Classic Kitchens created, we started to imagine what we wanted to see in our own kitchen. The pictures and reviews on HOUZZ sounded great so we decided to go to Classic Kitchens to take a look around. We immediately connected with Debbie who greeted us when we went in and answered all of our questions. We booked an appointment for Chris to come to our house and design a layout for us. Chris listened to all of our requests and designed a layout that would work perfectly for our family. We also decided to widen two load bearing walls, put matching floors in the front foyer and powder room, as well as the installation of new cabinets and fixtures in the powder room. We absolutely loved his design and knew that these were the people that we wanted to hire for the job. Our project was huge and we knew it would take a while but the entire staff was very accommodating and always let us know when someone was arriving to work on our kitchen. Their new Builder Trend app is great! We could go on it to check when each job would begin and end, as well as a reminder of our selection choices, a blueprint of our layout and many other options. Mark and Jonathan were at our house regularly, and were great to work with! All of the staff were professional, respectful of our space and really helped to make this an enjoyable experience for us. The end result is absolutely stunning! Our kitchen looks like one out of a magazine! The quality of the cabinets is evident as soon as you look at them and Andrew did an amazing job with the installation of all the cabinets, the glass panels, the crown moulding and all of the trim! The moment Angela stepped into our kitchen, we knew she was the one for the job. Ruth and I have discussed a new kitchen layout over the past years . We won the lottery when we were introduced to Chris Johnson from Classic Kitchens Designs and Renovations . Chris designed and executed a new open concept layout that included the removal of two existing load bearing walls . His vision far exceeded several other contractors in the area . The project was managed and executed professionally by his staff , Angela , Debbie , John and Mark plus the outside trades . Everyone was wonderful and most of all very pleasant to interact with . The team assisted with Selection of materials , colours , lighting , flooring etc and resolved all Reno issues. We are very proud of our new improved layout , it is perfect . When it was time to say goodbye to our ugly, dated, dysfunctional 80's kitchen, friends of ours recommended Classic Kitchens. I spent some time here on Houzz admiring pictures of their previous projects, and gleaning ideas for my own kitchen. I was so impressed with what I saw, that we didn't even consider another firm. From start to finish, it was clear that Chris, Angela and Debbie were experienced professionals. Chris designed a beautiful, functional plan that made much better use of the large, yet awkwardly-shaped space. Angela and Debbie provided invaluable advice on all of our choices (we were keeping existing floor tiles, so everything flowed from there). Debbie picked up a colour in our floor tiles that I had never even noticed, and that became the wall colour - it works beautifully. Angela visited our house (on a Sunday morning no less!), to provide input re: cabinet colour and countertop. Ultimately, we created a beautiful, calming colour pallet. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the tradespeople who work for Classic Kitchens. Without exception, their tradespeople were talented, professional and respectful, and the quality of their workmanship really shows. There were a couple of glitches along the way - I think that's to be expected in any large renovation project - but what sets Classic Kitchens apart is their fast and professional response to every single problem that arose. Throughout this process, we were confident that at the end of the day we would be delighted with our new kitchen, and that confidence was well placed. I couldn't recommend this company more highly, and I couldn't be happier with our kitchen.

We are thrilled with our new kitchen. Each individual who came into our home was highly professional (courteous, capable, thorough). From the original design to the the completed project, they listened to our ideas and concerns as they worked with us to incorporate our needs, wishes and constraints. My experience with Classic Kitchens was an absolute pleasure. Renovating our kitchen and powder room was a huge project for us, classic made this go as smoothly as possible. Both Debbie and Angela were there for us every step of the way with our material selection while Chris Johnson the owner was meticulous with his design and ensuring our satisfaction. We are very excited about our completed kitchen. Right from the start the team at Classic lead us to a design that functioned perfectly even though the space was challenging. They worked with us to update the space but still fit into the homes style. They helped us incorporate the personal touches that were important to us without compromising the function and guided us through material selections . We chose Classic Kitchens and Renovations to update our kitchen and we couldn't be happier with the process or the result. Angela worked with us to choose cupboards, backsplash and countertops that would complement each other and the rest of the house and also fit our budget. The kitchen is beautiful. Her attention to detail and suggestions made the kitchen a pleasure to work in. She kept us informed of the work schedule so we always knew what would happen each day. Classic Kitchens renovated our kitchen last fall and we couldn't be happier with the finished product. It was a big job, taking out a wall and combining our living and dining rooms to make a very large family/entertaining size kitchen. Chris, Angela and Debbie were wonderful to work with and no detail or request was too small or trivial for them to accommodate. The trades people working for them were just as wonderful. They would arrive when promised, kept the work area as tidy as it can be kept during a renovation and were pleasant to have around, which is important when you're going to have people in your home all day for weeks. Chris provided us with two design options and tweaked our selection until we were completely satisfied. Selection of materials was facilitated by Angela and Debbie who were right on. The renovation is very beautiful and functional. I love our new space. They delivered on exactly the look and feel I desired. When we purchased our brand new home straight from the builder, the first thing my wife said was were going to "gut" the kitchen when we take possession. Wait a second…. we just purchased a brand new house with a brand new kitchen, and were going to "gut" the kitchen??? We started to re –think about doing this, until we came upon "Classic Kitchens" located in Whitby. From the first consultation visit, we instantly connected with Chris. After many meetings, drawings, designs, etc, we decided to use Classic Kitchens. The day we took possession, the Classic Kitchen team came and took down the existing kitchen. Then the magic began. Day by day our kitchen space began to transform into the vision my wife had. The Classic Kitchen installers were always on time, extremely professional, paid meticulous attention to detail, always maintained a clean working environment and were very patient to the questions we threw out during the install. All I can say is that I am blown away by the level of service and the incredible craftsmanship we received. Complete renovation of our 26 year old kitchen and what an amazing job Classic kitchens done. From the complete tearing out of the old kitchen, re-pluming and re-wiring to the finished kitchen, it was painless. The contractors that Classic employed were extremely caring and considerate to our needs. I would not hesitate to recommend this company for their amazing work.

It is so much more functional (two people can now work in it at the same time) and the valuable extra storage space is a real bonus. The design Chris did makes our kitchen appear to be so much larger and brighter. With Angela’s expertise, the granite counter top, back splash, kitchen floor tiles and new hardwood flooring on the main floor is well coordinated and the flow fits our lifestyle perfectly. Excellent design that truly suited and complemented our home' s style. Worked with Chris to refine the design numerous times until we had the details incorporated and before any deposit was requested. We wanted a Wow kitchen and his team delivered it on time and on budget...and Wow we love. It's functional and beautiful. He has a team of superior quality craftsmen that took great measures to protect the surrounding areas... And they are all a pleasure to work with. Angela project managed and provided many hours of expertise to guide us in our choices of backsplash, countertop, lighting, and other accessories...being honest with her opinion but always a smile. Such a positive experience for such a huge kitchen Reno.

Our recent kitchen renovation came after much research. When we met Chris and Angela at Classic Kitchens, we knew that this was the company for us. Chris' design ideas were excellent. Angela did a great job coordinating the project and gave us helpful design ideas throughout the process. The head contractor, John, was very knowledgeable and hard working. Creative, Professional, Courteous and Meticulous. My husband and I investigated several companies for over 2 years and had several professional designs proposed for our small u-shaped kitchen. Never really feeling completely satisfied we never committed to anyone until Chris and Angela presented Classic Kitchen's design. We left their showroom excited and with contract in hand. Everyone involved in the installation of our kitchen from the renovations, the installation of cabinets, the electricians and the gas fitters were all very professional and took extreme care when working in our home and now we have our WOW kitchen.

We are just thrilled with our new kitchen and are very grateful to the professionals at Classic Kitchen and Renovations who took a kitchen from the 80's and created a modern masterpiece. After visiting our home, Chris drew up several designs which we went over with him and then modified to get the best design that would fit our lifestyle. It required moving a wall, then completely renovating the newly expanded kitchen. We appreciate that he was open to our suggestions. We love the new island which Chris designed. He actually came to our home and worked with the fabricator until the design was perfect for our kitchen. Angela helped us choose various materials and even met us at the granite stores in Concord to help us select just the right stone for our countertops. We learned to trust the designers' suggestions. We had an idea of what we wanted but Chris and Angela took us beyond anything that we could have imagined. Sandra put together the perfect colour combinations for our walls which is very important in an open concept home like ours. We also cannot say enough about the contractors that Classic Kitchens had working in our home over the course of the renovation. Not only were they very professional but it was quite evident that they took pride in their work and we benefitted from their meticulous attention to detail! Our project was a complete kitchen redesign and remodel and we could not be happier with the result! From the beginning Chris was attentive to our list of "wants" and "don't wants" and these were reflected in his design. The design was very much a consultative process, which helped us feel that we were getting the kitchen we wanted and not just some "cookie-cutter" product. The fact that no money was asked for until the design was complete and a contract had been signed was tremendously important to us. The workmanship provided on every aspect of the project was of the highest quality with tremendous attention paid to detail. Minor issues along the way were dealt with promptly and professionally. Chris and Angela combined their diverse but complementary talents to ensure the successful and timely completion of this project and we would have not the slightest hesitation in hiring them for any future project or in recommending them to anyone. My husband and I stopped-in at Classic Kitchens & Renos yesterday and we were greeted with warmth, loads of information, and great ideas. We are just beginning our kitchen reno project. I recently hired Classic Kitchens to do a complete kitchen renovation which included the removal of walls, new tile flooring, hardwood flooring, complete reconfiguration of the kitchen footprint, new appliances, all cupboards,backsplash and granite counter tops. The final result is absolutely beautiful. The kitchen functions so much better and meets all of our needs. The people who did the work were pleasant to work with, were very friendly and accomodating. Classic Kitchens completed a 7-week kitchen renovation for us at the end of March, 2013. We have a fairly small kitchen and we didn't remove any walls or make major structural changes but Chris was able to suggest some layout changes we had not thought of that gave us more counter space and made the kitchen much more functional with a lot more storage. We worked with Angela to choose our flooring, countertop, blacksplash and paint colour. We found them both to be easy to work with and very professional. The trades people who came to work on our job were very respectful of our home, friendly, courteous and very anxious to do a job we were pleased with. We did go over our original time-frame by a week or so, and we did select an upgraded granite countertop and under cabinet lighting which were not included in our original estimate but we knew in advance they would be additional charges. We had a few minor hiccups along the way which were quickly remedied and all in all we felt the job went smoothly. We love our new kitchen!

Classic Kitchens is your only choice for Kitchen design and renovations. Chris, Angela and Sandra provide A1 customer service, knowledge and experience. They have creative and current design ideas and a wide range of products to support their designs. They had patience and provided input and options for the many choices we had to make, including design changes to ensure we had exactly what we wanted. Their associates are experts in their field and are tireless. They put in long hours including weekends to limit our inconvenience . Everyone that came into our home was respectful and friendly. Their workmanship is outstanding. Classic Kitchens provided a comfort level and did whatever they could to remove all stress associated with such a large renovation. By choice, my husband pulled out our old kitchen and then Classic Kitchens took over from there. They made all the arrangements and set the time line for the selection process. We were able to choose the counter, hardware and glass inserts etc as the project progressed. We shopped around before we walked into Classic Kitchens and after our consultation and estimate we knew the decision was made. Our kitchen is custom and we love it. Classic Kitchens provided us with an awesome kitchen design, a plan for the project and executed the project professionally. Their subcontractors did a great job, showed up on time and were considerate of our needs; specifically, we have pets. We couldn't be happier with the end result and are looking forward to working with them again when we start the next job!! Thank you Chris, Angela and all the contractors for making our home a place we love coming home to!! You guys are the best. (And I say that because other renovators did not/would not deal with the major structural work that we had to have done). Classic Kitchens did an amazing job with our kitchen renovation. Everyone who came into our home was very courteous and professional. The design done by Chris was outstanding and they were the only company that came into our home and create a design without a fee up front. The project came in on time and budget and we have ended up with an absolutely beautiful kitchen. It is always a little stressful doing a major renovation in your home but our expectations were exceeded from start to finish. I would not hesitate to recommend Classic Kitchens!
