Clive has on both our previous and current property, providing roller blinds and a beautiful custom made head board. The fabrics Clive uses are excellent quality and he has a huge range of books to choose from. His knowledge and experience are top notch and I would not hesitate in recommending his services.

My wife and I have used Clive Rhodes on two occasions. These were projects to update and redecorate the lounge, dining room and entrance hall, stairs and upstairs landing. We have traditional tastes and wished to create elegant yet not stuffy reception areas but with a modern touch without being bland. The first time Clive worked for my husband and I, he helped to bring together various ideas I had and by adding his ideas and suggestions, added flair to the whole project. He project managed all of the aspects of the work, which included:- a new floor, electrics, wallpaper, windows, and fireplace. He took a very ordinary room and made it very special with minimum fuss and maximum good humour. When I wanted another room remodelled he was the obvious choice to help. In this room he made my idea of a tented room work On the basis of our experience of his work on these two projects, we have no hesitation in commended his work to others.

Clive created a delightful scheme for our dining room, drawing room and hall, stairs and landing based on my very scanty brief describing the 'atmosphere' we wanted to create and some loose idea of colour, mainly what I didn't like rather than knowing what I did like! He was patient and thorough, especially in the early stages as he gauged our taste (better than we knew ourselves). He brought many fabric samples, had carpet samples made up for us and consulted us on everything. The people he used to make up the curtains, covers, carpets were of the highest professional standard, and when other people came into our house to work he always came too to introduce them to us. The outcome is beautiful. We still love it two years later and everything links and coordinates with our existing furniture and fittings and all the things we did not change. It was all worth the several months this project took.

Mr Rhodes was instrumental in designing the interior of sizeable building alterations to my mother's home and was a natural choice when it came to my own, a decade or two later. His early training with a well respected company here in Lincolnshire and his talent have resulted in a professional of huge experience. He gets to know his exacting clients, listens and looks carefully at their requirements, meeting deadlines and budgets goes without saying. His commissions whether very large or very small are all treated with the same thoughtfulness and are always completed to the highest standards and are always beautiful.

We carried out a substantial renovation and extension of our Lincolnshire home and Clive came recommended by the builders (which in itself was unusual and a measure of his standing). We were nervous about using an interior designer, having never worked with one previously, and initially asked Clive for help with curtains and soft furnishings. His attention to detail, enthusiasm and professionalism quickly made us forget any prior uncertainty as he embraced our desire to retain control of the creative/buying process but helped to make the project rewarding rather than stressful. Choosing fabrics, furniture and accessories with Clive's considered guidance on colour combinations and style made the process a pleasure and we remain thrilled, five years later, with the result. With Clive's help we created a family friendly but stylish environment, inside and out, with lasting appeal. He is a gentleman, he is fair and he is skilful.
