It is my pleasure to heartily endorse Covenant Kitchens for a kitchen design and remodeling project. From the start it was clear that Gerard and his team were committed to attention to detail and customer satisfaction. The process started with several meetings in which Gerard absorbed our wants and needs and took great pains in executing a plan which addressed nearly all of them. Gerard excels at foreseeing potential pitfalls and thereby was able to avoid many costly on site decisions necessitating in change work orders of which there were virtually none. Once the project details were determined, A schedule was set out. We had chosen custom cabinetry which was fabricated by a small shop in Pennsylvania which Gerard had strong ties to. The Cabinets were fabricated and delivered and delivered to the site on time and in flawless condition. The installation was carried out by Covenant's own team of expert carpenters who executed the installation with an equal eye to detail throughout. Plumbing, electrical, tile and other specialty work was carried out by a carefully vetted team of subcontractors with whom Gerard has a longterm trusted relationship with. Pete was the onsite construction manager and led to excellent communication not only with Gerard but with and between the contractors and subcontractors. The schedule was followed to a T. There were absolutely no surprises. We have been living with this new Kitchen now for about 3 months and thanks to the careful planning and execution, there is nothing we would do differently.

After checking with family and friends, we contacted Covenant Kitchens & Baths as our first choice to discuss renovating our kitchen, mudroom & laundry room in our 100+ year old family home. The kitchen had very little counter space and outdated electrical, but we believed it was a difficult room to do much with as it had five doors and three windows which greatly limited our options. It had been last reno’d in 1990 but that was just a cosmetic reno, i.e., paint, flooring, cabinets & countertop. We met with Gerard and he agreed to take on our project. We spent about three months on design work with him and his design team, Pam & Emily, which, based on their input, changed very significantly from our original idea. The original layout was very inefficient because the cook prep area was spread over the entire space, and to get from the mudroom to the rest of the house, you had to walk through the prep area. They were able to offer suggestions to essentially flip the design of the space 180 degrees which allowed for the installation of a traditional U-shaped counter as well as the separation of the cook prep and dining areas. Since the walls had not been down in our lifetime, we had no real idea what we’d find although we expected that there were going to be things that would need attention. We found that there were rotted posts near what were originally exterior doors and floor joists. The fieldstone foundation was caving in as it only had mortar on the outside. There were structural issues with the second-floor landing (hidden above the ceiling) and lack of collar ties on the roof structure. The Covenant team estimated the job to take 12-14 weeks. We moved in and started using the space again right at the 14-week mark. Every weekday for 14 weeks, including a small number of Saturdays, there was at least one contractor at the house doing something. Anyone that has ever been involved with construction knows that is amazing scheduling. They easily could have lost at least a week or two deciding on how to resolve the foundation issue and then lining up the sub-contractors needed. The end result has been transformative. The space looks larger than it was due to having vaulted the ceiling and the organization of space. A triple window over the sink now looks out to the yard, brightening up the space. The kitchen is much more functional than it previously was. The attention to detail that they have is really amazing. They are able to visualize what the space will look like when finished. They try to incorporate the style of what they are designing into the rest of the home so that it looks new and modern but doesn’t clash if you have an older home such as we do. The suggestions that they made for colors and finishes worked out very well. We’d very highly recommend them to anyone considering kitchen or bath work; as a matter of fact, we have spoken with several people who plan to contact them about upcoming projects.

The quality of the design and recommended cabinets, tile, countertops, and hardware is to be commended. My initial design ideas were made better with their expertise and visually my kitchen looks exactly as I'd hoped. The work done by plumbers, electricians, painters, and all sorts of other specialist companies is top notch. What is well below expectations is the project oversight, attention to detail, customer service, and communication. I paid a premium price for low quality project management and two out of four major appliances being limited function to non-functional on the day they called the project "Majority of Work Complete". Venting work was needed outside, for a project taking place in the winter, and they saved the work for the last week of the project when adverse weather conditions prevented it from being done. The week prior I asked why the work wasn't even on the schedule and they assured me that they had it under control and the work would be completed on time. Apparently not consulting the weather forecast for an outdoor weather dependent project. Weather is beyond their control. Planning for weather to be beyond your control is what a good project manager does. But at least I can use the stove, as long as I don't burn anything I'm cooking or care whether my whole house smells like the kitchen. The brand new dishwasher is completely non-functional, doesn't even turn on. There were many sink elements in my project plan, which they were aware of when measuring for the very nice very expensive custom cabinets. Yet when I pull the faucet nozzle extension the under sink trash can gets knocked off track. I could remove the under sink trash can and solve that problem, but the reason I paid for custom cabinets including the under sink trash cans is there is no room for trash cans in my small kitchen. I wrongly assumed their measurements would account for the needed room for all the elements in the plan. When I expressed concern about the lack of oversight on the project and lack of care with my installs I was told to enjoy my beautiful kitchen. So if you're looking for a stunning kitchen that doesn't function, go with these guys without worry. If you're looking for a beautiful kitchen that also works, think twice.

Could not say enough wonderful things about Covenant Kitchens and Baths. From planning to execution, everything was taken care of with the utmost attention to detail and design. The entire team is phenomenal. Our new kitchen is stunning, literally a dream come true. Couldn’t recommend them more.

We recently had a complete master bath renovation. Covenant did a spectacular job. Gerard and his team were very easy to work with, took pride in their workmanship, were punctual and courteous and kept us informed every step of the way. Our renovation is beautiful. We just finished a kitchen renovation with Covenant Kitchens & Baths, Inc. We could not be happier! Gerard and his team were professional, prompt, creative, and accommodating! We enjoyed working with the team. Our kitchen (updated from 25 years ago) is now amazing - we did cabinets (stained wood), counter tops (quartzite), appliances (from Page Hardware in Guilford) and a few extras like crown molding, refinished wood floors, and painting. Things went well. Subcontractors were excellent. Mark, the carpenter was particularly gifted. Gerard had fine attention to detail, was always on top of goings on, and was very helpful with suggestions. Our next project (maybe a bathroom?) will definitely go to Covenant - Thanks Gerard, Kira, Steven, et. al.

We recently completed a large renovation of our first floor with Gerard and the crew at Covenant Kitchens. It was a big project that included our kitchen, a new mudroom, pantry and laundry, a new staircase, new floors throughout the first floor, an updated family room and a new powder room. I can't say enough about working with this team of professionals! The quality of their work and service was top notch and they were all a pleasure to work with. From the beginning of planning to the end of the project, Gerard and his team listened to what we wanted. Their level of commitment as well as their knowledge and expertise in design delivered a beautiful renovation that we couldn't be happier with.

This was our second major project with Gerard and Covenant. A few years ago they renovated our upstairs, combining two smallish bedrooms into a single master bed and bath. They did such a great job on that one that we decided to use them again for a kitchen renovation. As before, the whole Covenant staff is professional, warm and talented. Not only did they listen carefully to what we wanted but they made many suggestions, some minor, some major, which improved the project greatly in the end. While Gerard & co. have a definite style and opinions based on their extensive experience with kitchens, they are always ready to listen to the client, and, in the end, do what you want even if it is not what they recommend. Doing a remodeling with Covenant is a very collaborative (and fun!) thing. The other thing is how well they keep on schedule and keep you informed of what's happening. When things go wrong, as they inevitably do to some extent, they are there to make it right and help you through the process. We are finished renovating our house (we think!) but if we decide to do anything else major, we would definitely look to Covenant first. We give them our highest recommendation.

You will not find better customer service anywhere. Gerard went above and beyond to accommodate all of my requests. The quality of Covenant's work is impeccable. Gerard is very particular, not overlooking any detail, large or small. Everyone that worked on this project was friendly, knowledgable and professional. Kira, Pam, Pete, Bob, Brian, Bill, and Jeff were a fantastic team. When Gerard scheduled someone on his team to work on the project, they came as expected. Gerard and his team are 10 steps above the rest! Professional, talented, a great design sense and very patient! I spoke to 3 different kitchen design companies prior to starting our new kitchen. Not really feeling a comfort level with any of them we continued our search. When I walked into Covenant Kitchen & Baths, I was greeted by Kera, who has worked with Gerard for many years. She not only runs the office but assists in many other ways, such as counter top field trips, advise on paint colors and hardware consultation. An appointment was set up to meet Gerard a few days later. After 10 minutes I knew he was the one! His calm demeanor, knowledge of the entire process, taste level and attention to fit and finish was so outstanding, I knew that the outcome was going to be very special! From beginning to end I felt that we were a priority to Gerard and his team. With any construction project there are unexpected things that come up and every step of the way they were there to help find a solution that would make us happy and not compromise the overall look of the kitchen. All the people that Gerard has working with him are excellent. The carpenters are top notch and to be honest I missed them everyday when the project was complete. I am a Real Estate agent and am in and out of beautiful homes every day. I never dreamed that I would have the kitchen I have now. It is beautiful and has added so much value to our home that we love! A BIG thank you to Gerard and his entire team for making this happen!

In the Summer of '18 we had Covenant redo our boys' bathroom. From start to finish the process was guided so smoothly by Gerard's calm demeanor and deep experience. Kira, the designer, helped with very important details that made a big difference. And the crew that did the demo and install were amazing - meticulous, courteous and talented. Communications and invoices were always very clear and there were no surprises. All around very happy!
