About Us

"Excellence is our Standard." Cowan Roofing is an owner operated company specializing in Standing Seam Metal Roofing. What sets us apart from the average company is clear from the start; we use top quality products matched with purpose driven craftsmanship to ensure a great end result. Using the same principles in every stage of construction assures a quality best described as excellence. "Excellence is our Standard" is our motto but it's also a call for accountability, because we want to be held to the highest standard. We install standing seam metal roofs with lifetime quality in mind with every step we take. Owner and operator Nathan A. Cowan grew up in the trades and has been working full time in metal roofing and general construction since graduating high school 16 years ago. Gaining certification as a licensed building contractor, licensed residential building inspector and lead safe certified contractor is a side note to his passion for completing quality work that will stand the test of time.

I truly regret hiring this company and would definitely not recommend them to anyone. One of the crews working on our house failed to cover an unfinished portion of our carport roof which led to the ceiling crashing down on my wife's car after a torrential downpour. Left our property with over 6,000 dollars in damage and the owner claims it is not their responsibility. Also tried to add things to the final contract that were not discussed or included in the original estimate. Painful experience from start to finish. Be warned!

I hired Nathan Cowan to turn an extra bedroom in our home into a master bath. He closed in the original bedroom door and cut an entrance doorway from our bedroom and installed a hidden door. He built a large custom shower and added a large vanity. His tile work in the shower and the floors is impeccable. The new floors are also heated. New prefinished oak was installed in the master bedroom to match the rest of our home. He did a wonderful job and I could not be more pleased. Nathan also helped me with product decisions and the whole project came together very nicely.

Nathan Cowan and his crew did a beautiful job on our roof. They were efficient, hard working, and respectful. They did a great job of cleaning up all the debris from the removal of two layers of old singles. I highly recommend them and look forward to hiring them for our next project.

Cowan Construction replaced my tin roof with a metal roof this past summer. Despite the excessively high temperatures they completed my roof on schedule and within the estimate we agreed upon. It looks terrific and sounds incredible whenever it rains. All of the workers were polite and respectful of my property. I kept an ample supply of popsicles in my freezer to take the edge off the high summer temperatures. Thank you Nathan.
