Glen and his amazing team of design professionals and beyond gifted craftsmen did a wonderful renovation in my home. The daily team was professional, helpful and eager to please and answered all questions. I will actually miss their inputs. Maybe not at 8am but it was all wonderful. Creative Design's team always went above and beyond to make sure I was aware of what was going on and the weekly reports that I received every Friday was a brilliant touch. I was able to keep up with exactly what work had been completed and what work was upcoming. Most of all thank you for making it possible for me to keep my home and memories intact.

I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Creative Design and their entire team. The team at Creative Design did an excellent job on my kitchen renovation. One of the things that sets them apart is that you have an entire team of professionals behind you, including a designer, project manager, dedicated cabinetry specialist, licensed plumbing and electrical professionals, and the owner, who oversees the project from start to finish. Everyone was professional, organized, and easy to work with. They coordinated well with my municipality and building inspectors throughout the project. Whenever I had a question or concern, it was taken seriously and addressed promptly. I also appreciated their transparency regarding pricing. If I requested an upgrade or a change in scope, they clearly explained the additional cost upfront, so there were no surprises. I intentionally waited a full year before writing this review because I wanted to evaluate the quality of the work over time rather than immediately after completion. A year later, everything continues to function beautifully, and I have received numerous compliments on the design and craftsmanship of my kitchen. The cabinetry, appliances, and all of the installed features have performed exactly as expected. While Creative Design may not be the lowest-priced option, I believe they provide excellent value. When you consider the cost of hiring and coordinating a designer, project manager, cabinet specialist, plumber, electrician, and other trades separately, you may ultimately spend more—and take on much more responsibility yourself. Having an experienced designer who is organized, detail-oriented, and able to coordinate the entire process is a significant advantage. I would highly recommend Creative Design to anyone looking for a well-managed, high-quality kitchen renovation.

The team at creative design were amazing from start to finish. They held my hand and walked me through every choice guiding and educating me along the way. Despite the scale of the renovation, I didn't spend one minute worried about the process and if I had a question or wanted to change anything, they made it happen with ease. We started our renovation process with calls to several contractors (many listed on Houzz). Chrissy from Creative contacted us right away and what started as a quick primary bath reno turned into a primary bath full upgrade (heated floor, steam bath, bidet, etc) and a transformation of our formal living room (which was more of a storage room for our exercise equipment) into a 1st floor bedroom with a good sized closet and its own full bathroom. Chrissy asked the right questions and had the owner, Glen, the owner of Creative Design, came to the house within a few days. I will never forget the walkthrough with Glen as we discussed possibly expanding our single car garage into a two car garage where he noted that at a certain point, it makes more sense to move than to renovate an existing home. Throughout the walkthrough, he gave great insight on what will add value to the home and experiences with a space for aging parents. Once we made the decision to go with Creative, there were a few visits to the home for measurements, then a shopping day to choose fixtures and tile with Mary, who is an amazing designer and who we have come to know as just a wonderful person! We also didn’t know it at the time, but having all the individuals within Creative working together (including their subs), made everything so easy for us. In shopping for fixtures and tile, we were never rushed and starting with an inspiration photo and call with Mary, she knew exactly what we liked and wouldn’t like. Mary worked with us through the final walkthrough and with a few changes (towel warmer), she was so patient and was always available. She knew that I was concerned about the veining in the shower tile and came to the house multiple times to ensure that the tile was placed in a way that I would be happy with (I love it!). Javi and his crew were there starting in January 2026. The care they took in setting up the space with framed plastic enclosures (with zippers to enter/exit) and covered the floor/stairs, with a refresh halfway through the project. Every person who came was very friendly and professional, but Javi was the absolute best in taking care of any requests and being proactive in considering any issues. He pointed out that a clear transom to the first floor bedroom meant that there were privacy concerns when we could see into the room from the 2nd floor, so we chose a glass with privacy. As we started this renovation, we decided to upgrade our primary bedroom closet and that is when we learned how easy Creative is to work with. Javi created a cover for our steam shower generator, which blends in perfectly with the closet. When we are ready to renovate our kitchen, we want Javi, Mary and the same team working with us! We received weekly updates every Friday with what was completed that week and what would be completed the following week. I recommend Creative Design without hesitation.

Aimee Haber and the entire team at Creative Design Construction, Inc. were a pleasure to work with in the complete renovation of my master bathroom. There was great attention to detail, and the workmanship is outstanding.

We love our newly remodeled kitchen and great room. Glen and Aimee were amazing partners, taking our vision and enhancing it with their expertise and creativity. They helped us through every decision and trade-off. Any time there was an unexpected result, they addressed it to our expectations and the finished product is the space we always dreamed of. Javier and his crew were wonderfully transparent and a pleasure to work with throughout the construction. Also, the subcontractors they work with (electricians, plumbing, flooring, etc) are high-quality professionals who also explained their plans thoroughly each day they were onsite and left no surprises.

When we began exploring the idea of renovating our house, we contacted a few neighbors for recommendations. Two of our neighbors could not stop raving about Creative Design, the group that had worked on the transformations of their beautiful homes. They told us that these people were so creative, professional, and easy to work with. Our experience turned out to be the same. Glen and Aimee were terrific and helped us through every step of the way. The whole crew was so professional and skilled that it made things much less stressful than we had imagined. And the resulting finishes and details are fantastic! I had imagined the biggest issue would be taking down the brick two-sided fireplace that separated the kitchen from the family room (and made the whole space seem small). Somehow it happened without the whole house caving in, and the resulting space is now like living in a loft in Manhattan! Needless to say, we love it! In that new open space, I knew that lighting was very important to me. Creative Design and the electricians were able to create our original vision of the family room/kitchen perfectly! Art lights, dimmers, cove lighting. So professional. The space is open and bright, a comfortable space and a pleasure to be in. In the end, everything turned out to be more wonderful than we had first imagined, which is a very nice way to complete a renovation!

From the day we started with Glen and Creative Design Construction we knew that this was the way to go. We also realized that if we were looking for the least expensive way to go, this was not it. If we wanted the right job, though, this was it. Glen was professional and gave us 6 different designs from which to work. Over the next few weeks, he came up with a design and brought in all the other choices we'd need to make, starting with the cabinet design. The other items were the granite counter-tops, the appliances, the lighting, and new flooring that was severely lacking in our old kitchen. When he started, we got to meet his crew, which included Jorge, our project manager. We knew that he, along with others would be in our home hopefully every day....and they were!! I can't say enough positive things about these guys who were in our home. They were trustworthy and dependable. We even had a neighbor come over and comment that she was so impressed to see the trucks outside our home every morning. We've only been in this house for about a year and a half, but as we all know, the kitchen is the center-point of any home, and now we're able to show it off. The only negative I can mention is that now my wife has to learn to cook and not just dial for take-out. I would love to offer some before and after photos but don't know how. We just finished a kitchen renovation with Creative Design and couldn't be happier with the job that they did. From the time we met Glen, the owner, we felt comfortable that we were in good hands. He sat with us, listened to our desires, came back a few times when we had questions, and came up with a design that accomplished all we were looking for. I've been involved in many different facets of a construction project and am aware that there are periodic "bumps in the road" as you proceed. These were resolved in a professional manner which made us even more comfortable. To say that the people that come into your home are also a pleasure to work with would be putting it mildly. Jorge, our project manager, made sure that when any issue came up it got taken care of. With our appliances, plumbing fixtures, and even granite choices, Mary(in the office) would make the appointments around our schedule and get us the best people to contact. If you're looking for a cheap job where someone cuts corners, then this is not the company for you. If you're looking for a good job, the right job, then I would highly recommend using Creative Design for your project.

my bathroom renovation is beyond my wildest dreams Creative design deserves 500000 stars from day one with planning with Glenn, Aimee, i asked them to help me do this project as a new widow very stressed out. We selected Creative Design because of their excellent reviews and we weren't disappointed. This is our second time engaging Creative Design Construction, Inc. and we could not be happier! This go around, Creative redesigned and expanded our master bathroom, added in master closets with closet systems (and closet systems into two other closets), and reconfigured one large room we had into a nursery. The first project with did with Creative we completed prior to moving into our home, and this time, our family lived in the home through the renovation. Despite being nervous to live through construction (we are pregnant and currently have two preschool aged children), it is no exaggeration that at least once a week, my husband and I would turn to each other so relieved and grateful that we had chosen Creative to handle this project. Main highlights contributing to our relief: we received detailed weekly written reports of work completed during the current week and work anticipated to be started/completed the following week; responses to emails and/or texts well within 24 hours; our project manager, Javier, was always on site, knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions; all of Creative's team members (and subcontractors) who arrived at our home were always friendly, patient and respectful; transparency in knowing who was coming in our home and when; and they made tremendous progress - even getting to substantial completion before the anticipated project end date. Further, Creative's team would spend at least 30 minutes every day cleaning up after themselves so that it was close to seamless for us to regain access to the second floor for the evening wind down and bedtime routines. Not only was the renovation process as easy as possible during the actual construction phase, but the design phase was as well. Glen and Aimee were able to visualize the space in a way we had never thought of and it has completely transformed the feeling of our second floor by making a much better use of the space. It was so comforting to have Aimee at our side for all the selection processes. Glen's and Aimee's insights into tile, hardware, vanity, etc. selections helped us to create the kid-free spa escape of our dreams. We highly recommend Glen, Aimee, Javier and the entire Creative Design Construction team!

We worked with Creative Design on two projects and both came out beautifully. Glen and Aimee were terrific to work with from both a design and layout perspective. Aimee worked with us on items including furniture and lighting which really helped make the projects stand out. Javier (the PM) was excellent and worked diligently and was always willing to help out with the odd project.

Creative Design Construction were an absolute pleasure to work with. Mary and Glen were very easy to work with. Javier, our project manager, was as well. They turned our basement into a space that's really enjoyable to be in. They definitely weren't the cheapest quote we got, but the full service approach from start to finish, including design, made the extra cost worth it. My partner and I are quite busy. We both work full time so neither of us really have time to micromanage contractors as they work on a big job that will take a few months. Creative Design truly took care of everything and made our lives so much easier. During the design phase they were able to propose some ideas that we hadn't considered before and I feel like our final basement layout vastly improved as we went back and forth on design. The final design was presented to us as an easy to understand architectural drawing that really helped us feel sure that we were on the same page. Implementation was smooth as well. They handled everything. Often I would make a mental note to ask them to do something only to find that it was done in a few days before I had a chance to ask. They were also flexible and willing to change approaches when asked.

Working with Creative Design was a wonderful, painless experience. I would highly recommend them. They are very professional, pay attention to detail, and are responsive to customer's needs and wants. They take care of everything you need. Permits, plumbers, electricians, tile guys, etc. No need to search any trade out. One also works with a designer that is sensitive to your vision and knowledgeable about current trends in design. Their people are great. Just sit back and enjoy your remodeling. Also their recommendations of dealers for backsplash, lighting, etc., come with a discount.

The Creative team just completed a complete renovation of our 35 year old home and we are thrilled with the result. They took an old, tired home and made it completely new for the 21st century. New kitchen, windows, doors, flooring, bathrooms, insulation, and interior design, they did it all. Glen, Aimee, and Hairo were the lead team members that we worked with and they put together a complete plan and budget that addressed all our needs. Their creative thinking on the job was also greatly appreciated. Doing a whole home renovation is expensive, time consuming, and, at times, stressful, but the Creative team met all the challenges and the result is a new home we will enjoy for years to come. I have worked with many contractors in the past but none as professional and highly experienced as Creative Design. Glen really knows how to execute the design to make your vision come to life. What makes him stand out from the rest is he takes into account the little details you would have missed. Glen takes his time to explain everything to you, every step of the way. He's always available as well as the rest of his staff and crew. His crew is professional and courteous, leaving their work areas clean after every shift. The staff is great with communication and availability. They work with many vendors and will research to find you the finishing details that you want for your project. When I first decided I wanted to renovate my kitchen, powder room, upstairs hall bath and add a primary bath--I wasn't sure where to turn. I didn't have a really clear vision, especially when it came to how we'd fit a new bathroom in on the upper level of my home. But I didn't want to have to find an architect, spend time and money on a design, and then try and find someone who I was confident could bring that vision to life. I was looking for a contractor that could do everything--and do it well. And that's exactly what I found with Creative Design. I can't say enough good things about Glen and his team--especially Aimee and Javier. They were patient and answered my many questions. They were thorough in offering multiple options. And they were so detailed oriented, going through every selection and design choice with me and the pros and cons of each. Javier kept everything running smoothly and on time--we had not one delay! And Aimee was so much fun to work with. I would not have wound up with a kitchen and bathrooms as beautiful as they are without her input and guidance. Creative Design renovated our kitchen and bathrooms back in 2006 and we were extremely pleased with their work then. We wanted to remodel our master bathroom but thought it may be too small a job for Creative Design, but they were willing to take it on and they did a fantastic job! Cannot say enough good things about their team: Aimee, their remodeling consultant, worked with us to choose the fixtures, tile and accessories that worked perfectly; Jeremy, the project manager, kept the project on schedule, kept us informed, did excellent work and made recommendations that turned out great. We hired Creative Design to fully renovate our kitchen, bathroom and a powder room in October 2022. We were very pleased with the way they began the work from the initial contract agreement, to the selection of fixtures, cabinets, counter, handles, knobs, etc. and a few meetings at their really nice showroom. They explained everything before the work began and included everything they intended to do in the contract with exact cost. The work began with demolition, which was handled very professionally and the clean up daily was something they took seriously as we remained in the house during the renovation. The company provided dumpsters and even porta-potties for the construction employees. Creative Design showed up every day for 4 months. Whenever a problem was encountered during any stage of the renovation, they made sure the problem was discussed in detail and resolved to our satisfaction. They even gave us ideas to save money. The owner was very hands on and showed up several times to make sure everything was running smoothly. He really provided great customer service and why I rated them so high. It was nice to see him appear several times during the renovation project. We liked the weekly reports the company sent to us, which made sure we were all on the same page with every detail of the project. We were assigned a designer and project manager who were a pleasure to work with. They were very skilled in every aspect of our renovation project. The designer was very resourceful, gave us so many options and ideas in order to make some really good decisions. The project manager assigned was easy to work with, very hands on, and extremely knowledgeable. He showed up very often at our house for 4 months and communicated everything they were doing. The project manager was organized, detailed and kept to the project’s timeline. He even gave use ideas based on his experience that were very helpful since this was our first renovation project. As a side note, a lawn sign Creative Design placed in front of our house caused my neighbor to come over ask if I was happy with Creative Design and I said yes. He explained that he hired a company to renovate his kitchen a couple of years ago and he wished they used Creative Design because he heard from his friends about the positive experience and good work Creative Design performed. He chose to go with a company because they came in with a low price. My neighbor wound up paying a lot more than expected for his kitchen and was not completely satisfied. I really enjoyed not having to deal with that tactic with our project. Creative Design was straight forward and they kept their word and their price on everything they did. There was no deception during the process. We would hire them again and we would highly recommend them to others. Lastly, a big acknowledgement to the workers who were hard working, professional and very courteous.

The expertise from the very first meeting to the final installation and final walk through was stellar service and white glove treatment. ALL of the recommendations of the trusted vendors were also top level and I recommend to follow the those recommendations since the quality levels were all the best I've seen in a long time. We hired Creative Design to completely redo 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, living room space, full kitchen and garage (a full demolition project) and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to hire Glen and his team. We recently used Creative Construction to renovate two bathrooms, one hall and one primary. We had an excellent experience from start to finish. There are several meetings before the project begins to make sure you are getting exactly what you want and know the cost. Communication was great with both the designer, Aimee, and the project manager, Jorge. They responded to us quickly and always addressed our concerns. They were on top of every item that needed to be addressed and did not miss a beat. Glen, the owner, was very involved in every step. He has high standards and every employee works in the same manner. The team meets every Friday so everyone knows the status of the project and then a report is emailed to you. The most impressive to me was the demo. We had walls of tile and mirror removed and we expected dust everywhere, but there was barely any! They put up plastic walls, kept doors closed, and we were even able to stay in our bedroom throughout the entire construction process. All of the workers treated our home as if it were their own. Garbage was picked up regularly and the site was cleaned inside and out at the end of every day. Every employee we encountered was kind, friendly, and professional. The finished project was great and they even finished when they said they would. I would recommend Creative Construction and would use them again.

We recently had Creative Design replace our kitchen cabinets and install stone countertops. Peter S. was excellent to work with as he showed us our several options that kept us within our budget. He came to our house a number of times pre-installation with his lead contractor/installer Ryan Kruse to explain every detail of what would be done and how long it would take. Ryan was fantastic to work with and dependable with scheduling and completing the job in a very timely manner. His work, and that of his support staff, was outstanding. We now have our beautiful new kitchen cabinets and countertop and we couldn't be more pleased with the professionalism and workmanship exhibited by the Creative Design team. We highly recommend them!

The quality of the cabinets are great, the craftsmanship by the two carpenters he sent was ultimate professionalism. The truth is Pete and Creative Design turned a nightmare of a Kitchen around for us. You see we went to a Kitchen cabinet company a year ago in Rockland county and wound up with bad cabinets and poor workmanship. We went a year without a Kitchen because of them. Pete and his crew had to take down those cabinets and replaced them with quality, superior craftsmanship, and met all of our expectations of how it would look. The Creative Design team wowed me from the first appointment / estimate. Peter suggested the improvements to the project that made a big difference, promised - and the company has delivered - to take care of all big and small details, whatever can come up. Every team member that we dealt with was very knowledgeable, committed to the success of our project and to keep us happy and to keep the property clean. My husband and I did extensive research into contractors and, as part of such research, in our reading of reviews, came across a review written by a homeowner which said that she felt like every morning "was Christmas morning" when she went into her new kitchen. At the time, I thought it was most likely an exaggeration. Surprisingly, that was not a review for Creative Design, because her sentiment is EXACTLY how we feel every time we walk into our home or wake up in the morning seeing the transformation and beautiful work that Glen, Scott, Aimee and their team completed! It is a dream. Creative completed a gut renovation of our kitchen and first floor powder room, installed hardwood floors throughout our first floor, refinished the floors in the second floor, installed new molding and light fixtures throughout and completed various other projects. We rented a home elsewhere for 95% of the project, and each week it was the highlight of our week to receive our written update report from the team and see the progress ourselves. Our new neighbors would remark to us how professional and courteous the team was and that the neighbors were impressed with their punctuality and hard work. The team's hard work is evident in the beautiful, workable transformation of our home. It surpasses what we imagined and hoped for, for our home and family. We heard from friends who went through home renovations that "the renovation process itself is brutal, but it is well worth it in the end". However, that was not our experience with Creative - we absolutely LOVED the process and working with Glen, Aimee, Scott and their team. I, almost daily, told my husband how happy I was that we decided to work with Creative, and he wholeheartedly agrees - we did not need to worry about coordinating 99% of items - Creative took care of everything for us and assisted us with 100% of tasks and vendors; Aimee, our designer, really held our hand when we chose tile, stain and cabinet colors, fixtures, knobs, etc.; our project manager, Scott, answered our questions within ten minutes (via phone, email, text or Facetime and always with a smile and like he had all the time in the world to talk to us!) and in general, if we had a question (even a small one), no matter the day or time, we had a substantive, well thought response within minutes or at most hours from any team member (and if necessary we had someone come to the house right away to assist us, review or update something); every team member we interacted with is professional, friendly, patient, transparent and honest; the company is run so professionally and organized and there is complete accountability. We will be turning to Creative for any and all future home renovation projects (and begging to have Scott and Aimee on our team) and cannot recommend or praise the company and people enough! Where to begin... It was beyond our expectations from the plan, which was the most creative of anyone out there, to the help and guidance from Glen and Amy, to the actual construction with Javiar overseeing everything. It was neat, clean and believe it or not. ON TIME!!! We heard all the horror stories from people doing a huge project like ours but we have no horror stories at all with Creative Design. I high recommend them to one and all!!!

Working with Creative Design was a pleasure from start to finish. After a bad experience with a contractor during the initial renovation of my home I was hesitant to take on another project and even considered moving from the house that we had put so much in to. After reading many positive reviews and meeting with Glen and his team, I was comfortable moving forward. Even from the initial summary of work and quotation, I could tell that Creative Design was more professional than previous contractors I had worked with. The detail in the quotation gave me confidence that there would be minimal surprises and change orders throughout the project and that stayed true to the end. I have worked with so many contractors that give a lower estimate only to add on the change orders until the project cost is doubled or more. The only changes were additions that I had thought of during the work and each one of those was discussed in detail and a change estimate was provided to be signed before anything additional was done. The emailed weekly summary of work completed and the regular discussions with the project manager kept me involved and aware of everything throughout the project. The project manager was available at all times and was very respectful, keeping the other parts of the house clean and separated from the working areas. This is the way home renovation should be! I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to Creative Design for my next project.

This is our third remodeling project in our 25 years of marriage. When we decided to remodel our new home, we prepared ourselves for yet another stressful time, based on our previous experiences with other companies. However, this time things were different. We couldn’t believe it. Absolutely no stress. We are extremely pleased with the quality of the work and the professional attitude of Creative Design. The two people in charge of the project, Rob Zick and Joanne White were dependable, professional in all the aspects of their work, and in their interactions with us. They took care to explain in detail every step of the project and reviewed future actions with us. They listened to our (few) objections and remedied them promptly, and without complaining. Rob and Joanne were punctual and trustworthy. Their work was of excellent quality and we are very pleased with the results. We would not hesitate to work with them on another project and we recommend them highly.

When we purchased a house in October 2017, we didn’t realize how much work and time would go into renovating it. And that we would need to do it all over again. We picked Creative Design based on their reviews and work they’d done and we really couldn’t make a better decision. Not only they helped us put our ideas into a cohesive creative vision but also provided a lot of inspiration on their own. We were able to move in to our new house in just a few months after we started the renovation project. They redid our entire first and second floor. Oftentimes, we felt like we were on an episode of Property Brothers as they found so many problems with the house that needed fixing, so we could live comfortably and safely afterwards. They did a great job. The house turned out better and more comfortable than what we hoped for. It was a dream come true. And then, less than two months after we moved in, two trees fell on the house and split it in two destroying everything. What trees couldn’t ruin, a week of rainfall, which followed, finished. We were heartbroken but Creative Design stepped up and offered us their help rebuilding the house and making it even better than before. These guys weren’t joking when they said that. They started demolishing it as soon as the rain had stopped, and they had removed the fallen trees. Soon there was nothing left but the floors of the first floor and the chimney. A gut-wrenching view to look at if you’re a home owner. They started rebuilding without even waiting for our insurance to approve their quote. They invested their own time and money to help us move back in as soon as possible. And the insurance really did not make it any easier. They did anything and everything to avoid paying for their work. It was a constant battle which Creative’s owner, Glen helped us fight. We finally got everything approved and the house is completed. They rebuilt everything as it was before but much better - redid entire electrical, plumbing, HVAC, basement, deck, floors throughout the house. And all of it with their own money while still waiting for the payment from the insurance. The house is beautiful, and we couldn’t be happier and proud to live in it. Everything is exactly how we wanted it. It’s comfortable and modern yet without feeling like no one could possibly live in it. We love our house and consider ourselves very lucky that Creative Design was our builder.

We used Creative for an addition on our bi-level. Master bath/bedroom/ additional garage. Soup to nuts it was a great experience. Glen's staff was professional, personable and reliable. We found Glen to be very helpful in making decisions with the blueprints and other odds and ends to make our choices not only beautiful, but useful as well. Our addition went as planned with no hiccups. In total, it took about 4 months to complete. In the end, we are 100% happy with our decision and look forward to using them again for part 2 of our renovations.

Glen from Creative Design is nothing short of a crook, and you should NOT consider using his services for any large project. Here is our story.. My husband and I were shopping around different contractors for two projects - a master bath complete renovation and coiffered cathedral ceilings in our living room. We knew both would be large and expensive renovations so we needed to find someone right. We wanted to remove a step and wall in our master bathroom which required architectural drawings. All of the other 5+ contractors we met with told us to find our own architect and then contact them when we had the drawings complete. We had trouble finding architects and many wanted over $2,000 for the drawing. Then we met Glen. Glen told us that he could supply the drawings for $1,000 and if we decided to use him for our project, that $1,000 would be credited to our project. Sounded great! He also sounded like a decent man and we paid him the $1,000 which he cashed that day. He asked us when we would like our project to take place and we said the month of June- specifically because I was going to take my two children out of daycare that month and move into my parents home while work was going on. This was months away, and Glen said no problem. Two weeks pass and we heard nothing from Glen. My husband called the office and asked - what is the next step? Glen said that the next step is the “design phase” and we should be so excited! We were… and we were still waiting. Almost a week later (three weeks total) Glen arrives at our house with our drawing (which cost $1,000). He talked about how we were going to have some “choices” in the design. Then he showed us the drawing. The drawing had no measurements, was not done to scale, and showed a layout which was not the one we discussed. It was something I could have done myself. Our “choices” were where we wanted the bathtub placed in the room, which we already decided prior. There was no possible way the drawings could have been submitted to the town, so therefore we still had to find our own architect. Glen left and said the next phase would be working around our budget. He left and we did not hear from him for another week. My husband emailed the office and asked when we were getting our estimate, “Soon” the email said. We received the estimate and it was a very large number. We knew it would be large, but before spending this amount of money my husband and I wanted to make sure we were making the right choice. The large estimate had absolutely no break down of costs of anything - so my husband emailed Glen and asked if he could tell us how much the BATHROOM project would cost and how much the CEILING project would cost. That’s all we needed to know. Seems fair, right? Glen wrote us back and answered that he would let us know. Then we waited. One week, two weeks… another email… no response. NOTHING. It has now been four months later and absolutely no response. He has completely ignored us. At this point my husband and I feel like we were robbed of $1,000 and we want it back. My husband has physically gone to the office twice and each time was told Glen was away at a conference. The girls in the office says they’ll relay the message but we are STILL waiting. What a waste of time and money. I repeat… DO NOT CONTACT GLEN.

Every great review you read about Creative Design is true! I read one good review after another and was sure it was to good to be true. Pete was our consultant and it was such a pleasure to work with him and the team who came to the house. We had our kitchen slightly remodeled, larger island put in, back splash changed and electric work . . . now the kitchen looks spectacular! Simply the best!

We just had our kitchen " face lifted. " Cabinets painted, new counter top, new backsplash, floor re-finished and 2 new appliances- there was some re-building of existing cabinets to accommodate a larger sink. Creative design did a beautiful job- the kitchen looks great - communication throughout the entire project was excellent- there is a 5 yr guarantee on the work- We have had a few very small issues after the work was done, and true to their word, calls were promptly returned and repairs were attended to in 24 hrs ( or less!)- completely trustworthy and my kitchen looks brand new!!

Dear Creative Design, Though a long time in coming, we wanted to thank you for all your excellent work on our house. When we bought the ranch style house, we knew it needed a complete renovation. Our plan was to live in the previously finished basement while the work was done upstairs. We had heard how difficult it could be living through that kind of construction. This letter is to anyone considering Creative Design for work on their home. The Creative Design team was everything you could ask for. While maintaining the footprint of the house, we moved rooms, replaced all the flooring, and updated all the plumbing and electrical work. Up front, they had good ideas and worked with us to meet all our needs, like a super-sized double kitchen sink and a curb-less shower. From the design end, they worked with us through planning the kitchen and bathrooms with all the details of cabinet style, backsplash, counter tops, tile and even helping select the hardware. Approvals of floor plans, obtaining permits, and passing all inspections was seamless for us. We cannot say enough good things about the Creative Design team. The project manager was excellent. He was responsive and prompt to answering all our questions and concerns, and had creative ideas for things that came up that we would not have even thought to consider. His craftsmen were equally top notched. They arrived promptly every day and were highly considerate of us, knowing especially, that we were living downstairs while they worked. Their workmanship was of the best quality, delighting us with small touches that ordinary workers would not have done, like rounding the edges of shelf supports, or enclosing the area behind the washer/dryer to prevent lost socks! While these things may seem trivial, they are only an example of how they paid attention to even the smallest details in their work. The design work started in September, with construction beginning in January. The main work was completed in May, but continued when we decided to add a deck off the kitchen. My husband, who is an architect, and I redid our kitchen in September, 2016. We called Creative Design after going to a few other places that were definitely not up to our task. Glen and his team are fantastic. We used them for a very large remodel where we turned a 1960's style center hall colonial into a more modern open floor plan and did exterior retaining wall and patio work as well. Their work product is superb and the team is wonderful to work with. The products and subcontractors they use are top notch. The design process was incredibly smooth and their attention to detail on the finishings was impeccable. In particular Luis was a pleasure - always responsive, creative in solving problems and Luis and Sarah were always very helpful in guiding us through a complicated and often overwhelming decision process. We are very pleased with the resulting reconstruction of our bathroom. In addition to the final result, which is a big improvement, we found the staff workers to be very talented and accommodating to our wishes. The designer was sensitive to our ideas and suggestions and made constructive recommendations, where needed. The construction workers were considerate and did very fine quality work. All told a positive experience.

We could not be happier with choosing Creative Design for our project. We took down a wall between our kitchen and living room and created one big room with a kitchen island. It included changing appliance locations, moving an opening between kitchen and dining room and redoing all of the floors. The project lasted about 10 weeks. We did not stress at all at any time during the project. Creative Design handled everything from design to completion. The time frames were spot on. When they said a sub-contractor was showing up, he showed up. When there was an issue, such as unexpectedly having to repair/install new ceiling joists, they took care of it immediately and stayed on track. Completely professional and would use them again in a heartbeat. Special kudos to Jeremy, Matt, Rob and Pete for making the project a great and painless experience for us.

It's crazy to sit here and think about the fact that our search for the right design build team started on Houzz and here I am reviewing the final project. In doing my research it became clear very early that Creative Design Construction was the cream of the crop. Between the testimonials and reviews to the photos of the beautiful work, it was clear that I needed to see if they were the real deal. In our pre-planning, we visited tile, plumbing, furniture and cabinetry stores we have known in the area for some time. The kind of places with stellar reputations and decades of experience with all types of industry professionals. Inevitably they would ask who we were working with. When we said "We are thinking about Creative Design Construction." the unanimous response was "Oh, They're the best.". With that info I called and set up an appointment. The night Glen arrived at the door he stepped in and immediately took off his shoes as to not track dirt into the house. That level of respect for our less-than-updated entrance immediately showed me me a little something about who he is. He listened as we presented our vision for our project. He listened, looked around and asked relevant questions. He immediately identified a way to meet our goals in a way that would save us about $75,000. I was sold. We committed to phase 1 and put the team to work drawing up plans. At our second meeting, we were in love with the the ideas Glen showed us. He gave us options with multiple architectural drawings. Clearly the design portion of this project was moving swiftly and the target budget was becoming clearer. By the end of the meeting we had a direction and we moved on to the next phase. It was at this point that things really picked up steam. In this phase we got to see the first 3-D computer renderings of what our project could look like. I've watched a lot of HGTV and seen a lot of computerized mockups but these were particular detailed. (I attached one with a matching pic of the finished work below) It really helped us see what our house could be. We received a final proposal with a recommended budget, stage completion dates and a breakdown of payments that was fair and reasonable. We agreed and we were off. The amazing thing about day one of construction was this feeling of "It's been too easy up till now. The design, the permits, the sourcing of materials. Is this where the train goes off the tracks?" With that, Glen, Mike (our project supervisor) and Luis (our on site manager and lead carpenter) showed up, gave us their contact info (office, and cell) and we were off. We were very pleased with professionalism and competence of the few people we had met at Creative up until this point. Now the big guns were coming in. As the weeks passed (ours was a 10 week project) we met dozens of people on the Creative team. To a man they were all spectacular. They were pleasant, respectful, competent, professional and punctual (We had people working at the house every day of our project). They were exactly the type of people we would have chosen if we wanted to start our own design build firm. But that is the magic. Do it great and make it look easy. Whatever problem arose (I'm sure were some because we basically tore our house apart and rebuilt it) they took care of it. More over they were ON SCHEDULE AND HIT THE BUDGET TO THE PENNY!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable! I wouldn't believe it if I didn't live it. And the end result? Amazing! Beyond what we could have hoped for. Every detail thought through and executed magnificently. Our choices were challenged just enough to get us to think of options but well with in our comfort zone. The result was exactly what we hoped for. I held off for a few months in writing this review as I really wanted to live in it before I signed off. But boy, it gets better every day. At this point it is clear we loved the experience and the quality of the project. We would clearly tell everyone we know that Creative Design Construction should be their first and only call. They are not the lowest price but when you factor in all they provide they are by far the BEST VALUE. Not to mention the lowest stress major construction project I have ever heard of. If I wrapped up here you would only have part of the story. Yes, this review is from a satisfied customer. And yes, there are other firms that have satisfied customers. But no other firm I have ever heard of went above and beyond with class, professionalism and friendship like Glen and his team. My children know the team by first name and smile when they see Glen or Luis or any of the spectacular support staff at the office. The way the Creative people went out of their way not only to do their job but be friendly to our family is above and beyond. Towards the beginning of the project I lost my father. The people at Creative sent us in dinner. They had our business. This was pure class and compassion. I genuinely miss seeing Luis as I start my day. He and the guys on site every day went out of their way to make my life easy throughout this process. Even though my project is over, I feel as though if I had a house related question I could call and they would have an answer. And a smile. At the end of the day, anyone who can make your project feel like their labor of love truly has a gift for this work. Creative Design Construction has a whole company of them. We love our new bathroom. We received outstanding design guidance from concept to completion. Workmanship in all aspects from all trades was excellent. The courteous, conscientious crews arrived on time, cleaned-up every evening and delivered perfect results.. When challenges arose, like those that came as a result of several non-standard cabinet sizes, solutions were provided and custom cabinetry was built on site. The job finished a bit behind schedule, but we were away for a month during construction and that slowed things down somewhat. However, during that time, we felt totally comfortable in leaving keys with our crew chief, and we trusted him to keep things safe and rolling--which he did. We highly recommend Creative Design. They are all local folks who take personal care of their clients, many of whom are their neighbors, and they deliver superb results.

Creative Design recently completed a project to expand our kitchen, relocate a bathroom & laundry room & raise our outdoor patio. We chose Creative because they came up with solutions to issues relating to our home’s existing design & layout. In addition we found everyone at Creative from Glen to to Office staff to be professional & courteous - this continued throughout the Project and included the contractors hired by Creative to complete different aspects. This is the company to hire! Great customer service. From the people who answer the phone, to the designers, assistants, project managers and workers. Super clean too! We lived in our house during the renovation and they clean up daily. It was a big kitchen/2bath/entry hall/mudroom project. Lots of decisions and a couple of minor changes. When things weren't exactly right, the head construction manager was there. When things got crazy, the owner Glen was there within a day or two to work it through. The door to their showroom is always open and they're glad to help anytime. Our project is completed and I can still call with minor problems if they come up. The final inspection is done by the owner and he treats it like it was his house that he's looking over for mistakes. They will come back in a year to address settling changes, nail pops etc. They're not disappearing! It's reassuring. We're really loving the end product.

Creative Design and Construction from Northvale just finished getting the permits closed and everything is moved back in place. We have a smiles on our faces that the work is done! The whole team stayed on budget and worked around our schedule. I hired Creative Design to renovate my master bath and I am very pleased with the work they did. My project manager Mike Stimson was available to talk anytime, on site, on time 100% of the time and they actually completed the project ahead of schedule. The workmanship was excellent. He was available by phone, text or email and answered all of our questions throughout the whole renovation. Creative’s team was polite, professional, considerate and clean. Hairo was the project manager. Many times I observed him and his crew fussing over the smallest details late in the day when i know many other contractors would have already packed up their tools. He often wanted to stay later to discuss tiny details with my wife and I. Hairo and his team are the best! After the renovation was complete, there were minor issues with the cabinet doors and drawers. James had no reservations about calling the manufacturer to see what can be done. They fixed all issues even though the issues were from the manufacturer. Creative’s follow up is excellent. My wife and I were very impressed how much time they spend AFTER the remodel was complete making sure everything is perfect. Anything that was slightly off was fixed to make it perfect. Another huge positive about Creative Design is they will tell you if something will not look good, or you may get tired of the look, and provide a better option. We welcomed them challenging us on design choices. Their push-back was evidence that his team remained engaged throughout the entire renovation. Being required to make so many decisions gave us selection fatigue. By the end of the renovation, my wife and I were checked out on making tiny decisions. The Creative Team, meeting every Friday to discuss ongoing projects, weighed in on every detail and we would hear about the consensus Monday morning. This kept our choices consistent and tasteful. Working in the building trades for over 15 years I understand and appreciate what it takes to pull off a project with such efficiency. I gutted my kitchen and bathroom...did a complete renovation to both from floor to ceiling. Creative Design Construction did everything for me! I told them what I wanted and picked out all the materials...floors, cabinets, countertops, etc....they did the rest. We had just acquired a fixer-upper that needed a lot of tender loving care. We wanted to go with the best and Creative Design did not disappoint. They walked us through the whole project, which involved extensive renovations of over half of the house and foundation work. They worked around our schedule and budget which was reasonable considering the amount of work required. They took care of everything, including permits, electrical work and plumbing. They also helped us find other professionals to install central air conditioning. They ran into a lot of challenges, but they handled all of them professionally and quickly. They took care of every detail, down to the moldings. The project lasted from January to April of 2016, but when we moved into our new home in late April, we were confident that they had rebuilt a beautiful home for us to live in with our family.

When we first purchased our house years ago, I had decided to be my own general contractor to perform renovations and improvements along the way. After a few pitfalls, I decided to never do that again especially undertaking an addition. I had heard of Creative Design and passed their showroom many times before. I decided to give them a call and discuss the possibilities. I was looking for someone to handle every part of the renovation and Creative Design does just that. From design to completion, my overall experience has been great. If there was ever a concern, Creative Design actually calls back and shows up for their scheduled appointments. There was a carpenter on the job almost every single weekday with no issues. I based my decision to hire them on overall experience rather than price. In the past, I have chosen contractors because they were less expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for. The lowest bid isn’t always the best choice. Very disappointed. Met with owner, Glen for an estimate on a multiple room renovation: kitchen, bathroom & finishing basement. We spent over an hour in our home describing our needs and touring the space. We were then told that we had to pay $750 upfront before he could give us an accurate estimate. He promised a 3D design with architectural drawings & computer images. He was so professional and his reputation so great that we did not hesitate to pay the fee. He then took 2 weeks to schedule our next appointment. We were so excited to get our estimate and see our design. We met him in his showroom, but he had nothing to present besides blank drawings with measurements of the rooms. We then spent another hour telling him what we had already told him at our first meeting: very frustrating! He said he would be in touch in another week with some actual numbers. We then played phone tag for another week only to be given a verbal estimate, nothing in writing and no 3D design. The estimate seemed really high, so we asked for a line by line breakdown so that we could decide on which part of the project to scale back on, he said we needed to give him more money- 10% of total budget just to get a more detailed estimate. At that point, we decided to get other estimates. Since, we've met with 2 other reputable contractors, both provided 3D designs; one even provided architectural drawings! Both were free estimates! No fees! And estimates were detailed & provided at initial meeting, again with no upfront costs to me! Plus, both were significantly lower: 20-30% lower! And Both are reputable luxury home contractors. Needless to say, we will not be working with Creative Design. I could only recommend him for his ability to talk a good game and rob you of your hard earned money!

Our kitchen, after nearly 20 years of use and abuse, needed a renovation. We contacted several local companies and obtained their design proposals. From the very beginning, Glen and his team of designers were on point with their designs. We were given the opportunity to view three kitchens done by Creative Design. All three kitchens were functional, beautiful and tasteful – exactly what we were looking for. While we had our own ideas about what we wanted, Glen questioned us and even pressed a bit when he felt we might ultimately regret some choices we were considering. We’re pleased he pushed back because he ultimately persuaded us to make changes that brought the entire design to a higher level. The attitude and culture at Creative Design is professional and respectful. From the top down, the employees were always kind, patient and willing to do what it takes to ensure our satisfaction. The “field guys” Jorge, Rob and Gary all seem to get along well and treat each other like family. They were a pleasure to have around. We also noticed how demanding they were of the subcontractors. They would never accept anything less than what our expectations were, and were even more critical because of their expertise. Jorge, Rob and Gary are all extremely skilled in carpentry. Jorge, our project manager, is extremely knowledgeable about sound systems, doors, paint, lighting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC – the list is endless. The anticipation and coordination of the different elements that came into play was nothing short of outstanding. Glen was always available, coming to us on weekends and evenings to help with decisions and keep the project moving. The Creative Design team works safely and cleanly. They placed temporary walls and zipper doors in entryways to ensure there was no dust or damage to areas outside the renovation. The team swept, vacuumed and moved their tools and machinery out of our way when they weren’t actively working. We appreciated that we didn’t have any additional worries with regard to safety when it came to this project. We wholeheartedly recommend Creative Design for any renovation and intend to use them for our next project.

My wife and I moved into our home ten years ago. For nine of those years we talked about how we would renovate our outdated kitchen. What would our dream kitchen look like? What would our must haves be? Every so often we would pick a contractor's brain, or surf the web for ideas about designs and cost. And in between, life happened. We tackled other lovely, but smaller house projects. Our son was born. Vacations were taken. One year ago we learned we were expecting our second child, a girl. We were so happy. We also became extremely motivated to finally tackle to biggest renovation we could think of. Our kitchen. Over the years and our many, many discussion, what we learned was we needed better organized space in our kitchen, and more of it. We assumed an addition on that side of the house was in order. So with our ideas and budget in mind we began to interview contractors. This is how we met Glen Lumia and his Team at Creative Design Construction, Inc. Glen and his designer walked into our home and he immediately began talking about ideas. Our ideas. His ideas. And how he thought we could get the most out of our budget. He said to us, "Sure we can build an addition, but that's half your budget and I don't think you need to. You've got a lot of space here. It's just chopped up and laid out all wrong." Rather than adding to the footprint of the house, Glen showed us what was possible working within our existing square footage. We worked together over weeks, looking at many different designs. The final plan included removing our powder room, a small hallway and closing up an unnecessary side door which almost doubled the square footage of our existing kitchen, building a large passthrough from the kitchen into the dining room to open up the space even further, adding a new double window in the dining room where none existed before, and renovating our entire foyer giving us a new powder room off the foyer. Every member of Glen's team is a professional and an absolute pleasure to work with. We had a single dedicated designer, project manager, lead carpenter and crew assigned to our job. We saw these people every day. I can't say enough wonderful things about Maria, Mike, Jorge and Gil. My wife works from home, and with her being very pregnant at the time demolition began, and then caring for our newborn daughter during the second half of construction, I was more than a little bit relieved to know exactly who would be in our home each day. Glen also hires excellent subs for the plumbing and electrical and flooring. They too were extremely professional and a pleasure to work with. In the end, Glen and his Team worked with with us every step of the way. From that first consultation all the way to the final walk through. Every member of the team is extremely accessible. We completed a major house renovation, including the exterior and a complete kitchen remodel and could not be happier with the service and quality of the work we received through Creative Design. It has been a little over a year since we completed our project and we are thrilled with the results. We hired Creative Design to do our basement which was completely unfinished, and we couldn't be happier with the results. I had a pretty good idea of what we wanted to do with the space design wise and just needed a company to make this vision a reality. James Borenius went beyond making our vision a reality, giving us a space beyond our dreams. Every idea was expanded upon and made even better, nothing was "not-doable" and when the barn doors I wanted were not in the budget he came up with an alternative, I had not thought of, which was just as beautiful. Jorge Alarcon was our lead carpenter and he also did an amazing job and was a pleasure to work with everyday. They were an awesome team! Also, we had very good experiences with everyone else that Creative Design brought in to do other work from electrical to flooring, etc,. Seems like Glen Lumia (the owner) hires only the best people to work with him. I am highly recommending Creative Design and James Borenius to my best friends and family. This is a contractor I would trust with any project and having that peace of mind is very important, especially when you hear so many horror stories about dealing with contractors.

We have been living in our home, circa 1920, for 38 years and have done several remodeling and improvement projects over the years. But throughout these previous renovations, we always strive to maintain the character of the older style while bringing it up-to-date. We replaced the cabinets in our kitchen, 10'x13', approximately 27 years ago but we have always wanted to improve the kitchen's work space. Several years ago, we were able to watch the weekly progress of our friends' expansive kitchen renovation being done by Creative Design. We were so impressed by what we saw. When we finally decided to approach our own project, this past spring, we were fortunate to have Creative Design's James Borenius as our kitchen designer. With his guidance and expertise we brought not only functionality, but remarkable classic style to our space. We determined that the kitchen would be demolished back to the wall studs and realigning walls and appliances. Aside from the smallness of the space, James had to work around the room's archway to the dining room (which we wanted kept to maintain the charm of the house), a back door, a door into the family room, and a double window over the sink. The resulting plan makes the room appear much larger, with improved work flow and increased storage. Because of the space's uniqueness and our choice, inset cherry custom cabinets were used, several with glass inserts and interior lighting. Having new red oak flooring in the kitchen, we decided to replace the old, worn oak flooring in the dining room and living room also. Throughout the project, we feel one of the primary factors leading to its success was the continual communication we had with him. We had regular meetings with follow-up emails to address all details, schedules, and questions we may have had. We continually had confidence in him from start to finish. In addition to James, we were so extremely pleased with our head carpenter, Jorge Alarcon. Jorge had also worked on our friends' renovation and we were well acquainted with his masterful skill and expertise, not only in carpentry, but all other aspects of the construction job. Dealing with an older home can often lead to a number of challenging situations, and Jorge handled all of ours superbly, making everything work as planned. He also was wonderful at keeping us informed of schedules and kept us involved with what was being done. Several things had to be determined on site after demolition and he and James discussed these things with us thoroughly. He and all of his co-workers showed so much consideration and care, cleaning up the work area at the end of each day. He is a credit to the perfection that Creative Design upholds. Which brings us to these last several points. The additional craftsmen and contractors that worked on our project--the plumbers, electricians, tile installers, backsplash templater and installer, flooring specialists--were all excellent. Also, communication is key to a successful outcome. We received weekly status reports from their office, outlining what had been done that week and what was still to be done. If we had any concerns or questions by either phone call or email, all were answered and addressed promptly and courteously. When delays occurred (and always out of their control) they tried so hard to keep things as close to schedule as possible. (Note: As a client, it is important that you also show preparedness, patience, and respect. It will help make the whole process much smoother!) From our experience in our association with Glen Lumia, the owner, we feel that his attention to detail and quality workmanship and materials is what makes Creative Design synonymous with excellence. From looking at their beautiful photo gallery of projects, they have created many expansive, incredible rooms. What makes us so appreciative and impressed is that he and his team treated our smaller-sized kitchen renovation with the same attention and pride as any of their more extensive projects. Creative Design was one of the best decisions I made. One of the things that held me back from moving on renovating my kitchen and expending on my family room area was finding someone who I felt I could trust. I didn't want to make a big investment and in the end being unsatisfied. There are details in Creative Design's work that I would never have been able to imagine on my own or in just dealing with any contractor. Their work is really quality and the staff a terrific group of people.

The project I was seeking help with was to renovate my master bathroom, along with that we also renovated our kitchen. I found Creative Design Construction’s design and build approach very, very helpful and very informative. They have a solution for everything! They were very detail oriented and precise. They were so wonderful, anytime there was a problem, I just called them up and in a minute there was a solution. The whole team was absolutely wonderful; wonderful people to be around and wonderful people to work with. When we originally sat down with Creative Design our first project was to do the kitchen. As we moved along with the project, we started working into other parts of the house. With the design-build approach we were able to phase out the projects that met our needs. We knew we had to do almost a complete renovation of the first floor and we were able to actually carve that out into two or maybe three projects. Starting with the kitchen and family room, then moving onto the laundry room and mudroom. Creative Design truly listened to why we needed this work done, and based on our lifestyle and budget we wanted to scope everything out into phases. They were able to do that for us. We love the products that Creative Design suggested for this project, all the cabinets, custom woodwork and the crown molding. They paid a lot of attention to every detail, they listened to what we wanted, and everything was really custom-built here on the premises so we knew we were getting exactly what we desired. We did live at home through the process with our three children, which certainly can be challenging with three little ones, but Creative Design really went out of their way to make sure that our space where we were living was not invaded. They really took great care in making sure that the work site was sealed off and they cleaned up every day. The workers were very respectful as well, they did not come through the main door where we were coming through, they would always come through the garage or the back and everyday somebody was here to clean up at the end, vacuum and sweep and remove debris. They truly did make it as simple as possible for us. We were very satisfied with everything they did for us. We would definitely recommend Creative Design Construction to friends and family. We think the final product speaks for itself and everyone that comes in here is totally amazed at what they see.

UPDATE: I am updating review to reflect my second project experience with Creative. This time it was a heated multipurpose garage renovation that cleverly can function as a home boxing gym, park 2 cars, and store all the regular garagewares such as gardening tools, bicycles, and etc. If you can't stomach the thought of renovations gone bad shows you see on HGTV and DIY Network happening to you, then Creative is your de facto insurance policy from that ever happening because their craftsmanship and expertise is second to none. Their budget is highly accurate and they advice on what's worth doing is always spot on. What I like most about Creative is that you don't have to be literal with them when explaining your vision, they are experts in filling in the blanks and the details and touches they put are sometimes things you would have never thought of or didn't see until after the fact. It pays to use a professional so use the best. I contacted Creative Design based on their Houzz reviews and after meeting with them to discuss my wish list, my gut told me that I could entrust my first home renovation project to seasoned veterans who helped me make the tough "want this get that" decisions balancing my wish list and budget. Creative took a traditional dutch colonial floorplan and built a transitional open concept great room, gut reno master ensuite bathroom, and new hardwood floors. As long as you have the budget, there really is nothing Creative can't do. In the end, the transitional transformation they built for me was stunning and I really feel I got my money's worth remodeling what's worth remodeling. I was so happy with their craftsmanship and service that I trust them to be "go to" partner for all my future home remodeling needs.

Dear Glen, I just wanted to send you a note to tell you how happy we were with your team of experts during our kitchen remodel. They were always professional, respectful, pleasant and they cleaned the job site daily. Both my husband (attorney) and I (paralegal) have seen many cases involving construction contractors, so we are extremely jaded and we were very cautious and guarded when beginning this project. I expected extreme stress making phone calls, chasing contractors to come back, disaster, etc. Instead, our experience with Creative Design was stress free. (How often do you hear that about a kitchen remodel?) The contractors showed up daily until the job was done! Every issue was addressed pleasantly, no matter how minor. (I am a type A personality). I would leave for work every morning without any worries about who would be in our home or what I would find when I returned home in the evening. We dealt with James Borenius the most, who is absolutely wonderful and an invaluable asset to your team. I e-mailed my lists to him and called him with all my questions/concerns/issues and he immediately took care of the issues (always with a smile) making the necessary calls, etc. For example, on a Saturday morning I e-mailed James about a question on the painting of our kitchen doors. He promptly responded and I called the painter. When I e-mailed James again (about 5 minutes later) to tell him I had spoken with our painter, he told me that he had just spoken with our painter too. Now that is customer service. He was always on top of everything! During our numerous meetings, he was never afraid to roll up his sleeves and check something in the soffits, under the sink, in the cabinets, etc. Without James guiding us with all of our choices, we would not have today a kitchen even more beautiful than we envisioned. He was amazing throughout the whole remodel. He always guided us but never pushed us into anything he knew we would not be happy with in our home. We now consider James a friend and feel confident that we can rely on him for any guidance we may need in future home projects. We are so pleased with Creative Design, my husband has already highly recommended James and Creative Design to a colleague from Bergen County who is looking to remodel his home. Creative Design is a very professional group of talented individuals that did an excellent extensive renovation in our home that we have been living in for over 30 years. We knew Glen Lumia and his work from smaller projects he had done in our home 20 years ago- a deck, a bathroom and a partial kitchen renovation, and we had recommended his company over the years to several friends and family members who were also pleased with the work that had been done for them.
