We had a tough kitchen and bathroom project in tight spaces. We hired John and he was able to come up with a creative design that maximized our space and used unique angles and good lighting to really make the space pop. His contractors were excellent. We now have a beautiful kitchen that we spend tons of time in. Highly recommend.

We thought our options were exhausted after having several kitchen designers assess our kitchen redesign project. Then we found John Yates at CT Kitchen & Bath Studio. After asking a few questions about our life style and how far we were willing to go in changing designs, he quickly came up with an option we had not considered before. In the end, we end up with a space our entire family is very happy with. Cost-wise, it is not the most economical nor the most expensive of the options we had. His focus on designing our kitchen around our life style instead of just replacing cabinets was the selling point for us. The contractor and structural engineer he introduced us to were top notch. The cabinets had a few dings upon arrival from manufacturer. John quickly contacted a restoration company to touch up the dings with great results. We can't tell where the touch ups were made. We are very happy with the end result.

John was great to work with. He creatively redesigned our kitchen island and met all of our requirements. Would recommend without reservation.

I needed to remodel my whole bathroom and had no idea where to start. After doing some research i hired John to do the job. He was very knowledgeable and courteous. We talked and he helped me pick out everything from the floor and shower tiles, shower door, the counter top, vanity, mirror with lighting, and all fixtures. I felt the costs were inline for the marketplace. They gave me a starting date that fit into my schedule, and ordered the pieces. Demolition started on time, all the work was done neatly, and to my satisfaction. When done i was 100% satisfied, and really am happy with the new, much needed updating.

Very good experience working with John at Connecticut Kitchen and Bath. He completely re-organized two dysfunctional bathrooms. The actual remodel process took a little longer than expected to complete (more the contractor's responsibility than John's), but we are very happy with the end result. You can definitely trust him with any remodeling project.

John Yates, owner of CT Kitchen and Bath Studio, remodeled my kitchen and three bathrooms. I was thrilled with how all these projects turned out. My kitchen has a very creative and chef friendly design with beautiful colors and varied textures. One bathroom was completely gutted down to the studs while the other two were partially remodeled. In hindsight, the only thing I would have done differently would have been to completely remodel all three bathrooms. John is an extremely knowledgeable designer who was mindful of my budget while producing high quality products which I love!

We love our new kitchen, thanks to John's vision and keen sense of design. It is amazing what he can create with a good pair of reading glasses and a ruler! Storage, light, functional use of space, and some critical design corrections were our major concerns when first thinking about renovating our kitchen. There was not much of a flow: We literally had to crawl into our cabinet to reach casserole dishes. We first met John in his Avon studio where we could almost instantly visualize his work with color, space, and creative design. He spent considerable time with us measuring our existing kitchen, discussing ways to bring more light, function, and uniqueness into our space. John suggested a penisula that would add not only space to our kitchen, but also a welcoming warmth for family and friends. The kitchen as the heartbeat of the home was, in our experience with John, a theme that seemed central to his sense of design. We would be remiss not to mention the Le Mans swingout (Yes, we also learned a thing or two along the way!) that precluded our need to crawl into our cabinet. Now, we can age gracefully in our new kitchen! John's respect for our many questions and concerns throughout this journey is testimony to his character and passion for what he does so very well.

Our kitchen was last updated in the early 90s and was in serious need for a vision as it did not fit the homes open space nature. We had very limited wall space for cabinets and really needed a vision. John Yates came through and presented us a great plan. His cabinet selection was a great mix for us to hold all the things a pantry normally would. He also sourced the perfect counter-top and locally sourced a custom wood top. I would highly recommend John and his company to people looking for someone to give their kitchen a great design.

We had a complete master bathroom renovation designef by John Yates of CT Kitchen and Bath. All materials and products installed were ordered through his studio. John was very instrumental in guiding us through all aspects of our renovation project. John has a great general contractor and utilizes a professional group of sub-contractors who were very easy to work with, very careful, and neat. We are very pleased and satisfied with our beautiful new bathroom. The cost of this project was approximately $35,000.
