D2 is the best! We moved into a new house that was a fixer upper. After struggling by myself, a friend suggested I reach out to D2. Well…let me tell you, she changed my house and my life! Denise is a bright, creative and inspirational force. She was so insightful about the use of our space and how our needs would change as our kids needs would change. We gutted our kitchen and bathrooms. They were so innovative! The project was on budget, everything moved quickly, and we got more than we could have imagined for our money. If there was ever a hiccup with a vendor or supply chain, D2 communicated often so we always felt informed and taken care of. Denise made our house a beautiful home where everyone feels welcome and loved.

We moved from Manhattan into a brand new construction house and didn’t take any furniture with us. We were new to the suburbs and needed a designer who would work with our vision and and get things done fast. We met Denise and knew she was the right person to design our entire house. Denise, Erin and the entire team did an amazing job! The first day we moved in Denise made sure our kids bedrooms were done and she did our bedroom in record time. All the details of our house are amazing including the custom furniture and rugs, drapes, wallpaper, and artwork. Our custom dining room table and couches are beyond gorgeous. One thing that was really important to us was that all the furniture was functional and easy to clean being that we have two boys who can make a mess. Denise held true to her word as the materials she choose are not only absolutely stunning but easy to clean. Everyone that comes to our house comments on how beautiful our house looks. If you are looking for a full service design firm that will take your house to another level you should hire D2!

When we were considering bringing our home to the next level, we were incredibly thoughtful about who we wanted to work with. While we understood that given our circumstances we would need to take our time and decorate our home in phases, we were adamant about working with someone who would really be thoughtful about the house in its entirety, even if we were only going to bite off little bits at a time. Denise and D2 was just this! She really took the time to listen to all our needs and all our wants - and then worked honestly with us to give us a home that would meet both. She was also thoughtful about our budget and honest about when to push and when to pull. Given the nature of our life - two toddlers, a baby on the way, and a big crazy dog - we really needed to work with someone who would appreciate where we were in our lives today and where we see ourselves going - and Denise and her team were completely thoughtful about this. We are so pleased to have worked with D2 and would heartily recommend them! Also, they're really fun, happy and joyful - so we're grateful to say we've gained friends - not just professionals - throughout this process!

D2 has a unique business proposition: they do absolutely everything, from designing and custom-making furniture, to finding and managing the craftsmen who renovate your home, to ensuring there are great towel hooks in your bathroom and the right lightbulbs in your fixtures. Having made expensive design mistakes in the past--and having dealt with flaky designers and AWOL contractors-- we were all too happy to hand the keys to Denise and her team when we bought a new house. Frankly, though, we were a little skeptical. We didn't really expect her to deliver on all her promises, which included finishing our renovation and furnishing our house top to bottom in less than three months, with a three-month lead time to plan the project, and only four in-person meetings. She not only delivered on all counts, but exceeded our expectations. Wildly. She transformed a dark and dated mid-century house that had some major design challenges (ever tried designing a kitchen when you have windows but no walls?!) into a light, bright, vibrant home that's sophisticated without being pretentious and fun without looking kitschy. We wake up every morning and can't believe this is actually our house! The D2 process is unusual and not only painless but actually enjoyable. There's what can best be described as a style Rorschach test, where you look at a ton of photos of rooms and say what you like and don't like, and then a presentation at the D2 studio, where Denise shows you her ideas for every room in your house, complete with fabric samples and detailed renovation specs. For us, this was incredibly efficient and helpful because we don't have the time or desire to run around from one store to the next with a designer, nor do we have the imagination to picture what everything will look like when it's all put together. Then you get a spreadsheet of what everything on your wish list costs, so you can weigh your priorities and veto items line by line. By the time renovation begins, you know exactly what you're getting into and what it will cost -- and you don't even have to go to your house to check on things because D2 has everything covered. In fact, the only surprise for us was the unbelievably high quality of every single person D2 works with -- not a dud in the whole bunch. From Carly and Erin at D2, who handle all the logistics and legwork and couldn't be more helpful and creative, to the contractor to the painter to the floor refinisher to the upholsterer to the carpenter to the sofa manufacturer to the custom rug maker, it's a dream team made up of experts who take tremendous pride in their work -- and who will all go the extra mile for Denise. And you know all those pesky little post-reno details that are too small for anyone to address, like the ding on the cupboard and the weird noise the new refrigerator makes? D2 has all that covered, too. The project isn't finished until every last detail has been taken care of. The customer service orientation is as good as it gets. But there's another reason that every review on Houzz (which is how I first heard about D2) reads like a valentine. Denise isn't just truly professional in every way. She's also energetic, positive, highly creative and ridiculously fun to work with, and she has a not-so-secret agenda: your happiness. Not just your happiness with her services but your happiness, period. She isn't really decorating your house, she's designing a happy environment for your particular family. She really, really cares, and that comes through in everything she does.

All rooms have amazing style connection without being the same. the vibe carries thru to the outside and into the guest house. D2 captured my personality and made sure the house made guests feel welcomed and comfortable.

Denise is just what I was looking for. We moved from small New York City apartment to a nice size house in the suburbs and needed all new furniture. I love having nice things up but don't have the patience or time to go from store to studio looking at furniture. Denise took the time to get to know our style, our likes, and our dislikes, and presented us with design options for each room. We love our house! Denise has impeccable style, stayed in our budget, and is incredibly responsive. Some nights, I sent her long emails with questions and would wake up in the morning to find she had emailed back responding to each and every question. She clearly loves what she does and has created a great support team around her. We highly recommend her.

D2 was incredibly organized as they oversaw cosmetic construction and full furnishing of our second home. They made it very easy for us - we only actually went to the house twice through the whole process (making all decisions over email) and we are very happy with the results.

Having recently been through a rough condo Reno in the city, we needed someone who would understand our very high standards, modern aesthetic, and be completely patient and accountable to remodel our traditional Colonial in Westport. We got all of that and way more with Denise, Emma and the D2 team. They truly became my sister wives as they handled my German husband and his perfectionistic tastes beautifully and with humor. I couldn't believe how fun the process could be --it's when you have the right team. They went well above and beyond, several times!! Best yet, she introduced us to our architect, Marek, and his incredible team, and knows where to source incredible custom pieces. Denise, Kerri and their amazing team transformed my new Fairfield home, that was very traditional, into the beach house I wanted it to become. We were thrilled with the result! They really collaborated closely with me and my husband to make sure we had input in everything we chose. Most impressively, though, they were excellent about giving me options that were terrific and within my budget. I highly recommend them!

Denise and the D2 staff delivered an INCREDIBLE design of our home. We felt so cared for and so well understood by Denise. The outcome really speaks for itself. We are so happy in our home, and we are not alone in our admiration of D2's work. After walking through our house, a friend said to me: "There is something indescribably amazing about each room and yet it's somehow not over the top." At the outset of our home redesign, I worried I would hate the process. My fears were quickly put to rest. There's something about Denise -- her optimism, her genuine love and acumen for design, and her stop-at-nothingness to get a job done right -- that made this a truly enjoyable and exciting process. I'm (almost) sorry to see it end. Denise quickly "got" us. She understood when to push us and when to take a step back. It became very easy to trust Denise and the D2 crew. As a result, our home is a true reflection of our taste and style AND it addresses practical considerations for our family (we have two children ages 5 and 3). Denise's attention to every detail is what let me sleep at night during our home redesign. She's ON IT. Her patience and energy are seemingly endless and she cares. Deeply. She makes herself available and is responsive to every phone call. She collaborated with our architect and our contractor -- both of whom shared with us that they loved working with D2 (and are working with them on future projects)... which was really meaningful to us. D2's relationships with furniture manufacturers, mill workers, fabric designers, stone yards, etc make life so much easier. In the end, both the process and the outcome far exceeded our expectations. I had no reason to worry. It was an absolute pleasure to undergo this process with D2.

We hired Denise and her team to help us with an extensive project to rationalize and design a Mid-Century Modern in Westport CT that we use as a weekend home. Denise, Kerri and Stephanie provided outstanding advice and service. They have sophisticated taste and innovative ideas, but were also able to help us translate our vision. Working with Denise, Kerri, and Stephanie was a total pleasure. I found them on Houzz even though they were in my 'backyard', yeah Houzz! AND we use images from Houzz to guide us through. They have a great, structured process that makes designing (in our case almost an entire home!) pleasurable and, to be honest, easy. They advocated for what they knew to be a consistent vision for the finished product all the way through; from meetings with the architectural team through the last layer. It's our home and we live in it comfortably. It doesn't look 'decorated' as if somebody came in and did something TO the house. They listened to my vision and sourced all the necessary items to make our renovated home a reflection of who we are today. Thank you!

My husband and I hired D2 to help us with the complete renovation of a c1830's farmhouse just outside of New York City. We have two young boys, and we needed designs that fit both my very colorful taste and their very destructive ways. D2 had an efficient design process that allowed us to get to work before the renovation was complete and the move was underway. I did not want to go shopping in the D&D building to pick from a million different stores. I did not have to. I sat at a table with Denise, Kerri and Stephanie, and we sorted through photos and fabrics until we had the look we were going for in each room. We moved into a house still under renovation in late August, and within weeks, I began to receive furniture and window treatments. They listened to my tastes, incorporated family pieces, and helped me make (mostly) reasonable choices, even when I wanted things that were way beyond my budget. Their choices of dramatic lighting, beautiful fabrics, and their custom pieces like my dining room table and sofas are stunning. They also helped me with choices related to our kitchen and bathrooms, from the cabinet styles to the lighting, to the knobs and pulls, they helped bring it all together. Everyone who steps into my kitchen lets out an audible gasp! As for the two little boys? Vinyl wallpaper in the downstairs powder room looks stunning and resists their wet hands, the couch in their play area is everyone's favorite because it is so comfortable, and my stools and chair cushions all have wax protection that keeps marinara sauce and chocolate at bay. The house isn't fully finished, and I can't wait for the final step - having Kerri style all of my artwork! But, it is already a beautiful, comfortable, happy home. I have worked with other designers that can take a year and a half to finish a project. Kerri, Denise and Stephanie move at a much more rapid pace, which suited my needs. Stephanie keeps everything meticulously organized and schedules deliveries as soon as things are ready to go out. They have strong relationships with their partners and can get things moving when they need to. I have spent a bit more than I thought I would (surprise, even though I knew I was going to pay for delivery and installation, it isn't the thing I focused on, so getting the bill for it threw me for a loop), but every time the team said "Trust Us!" and I did, I haven't regretted it.

We hired D2 in our initial stages of building our first home. We were overwhelmed to say the least; however, as soon as Denise, Kerri and their assistant Stephanie took over they put us both at ease. They helped us with everything from door knobs to paint colors to furniture and then some. They designed truly unique custom built-ins and pieces that make our home unique. They work fast without missing out on any detail. They are an amazing team and each one adds so much to the project. They have impeccable taste and have always kept our taste and lifestyle in mind while designing. Any time a problem arose or I needed to ask a question, one of them was immediately available either by email or phone or even in person if needed. I have also found that when a problem does arise they fix it immediately and with no effort from us. They take care of everything and are truly a full service operation. We are still working with them and can't wait to see how the rest of the project turns out! We get so many compliments on our new home!

My wife and I hired D2 when we moved from NYC to Fairfield County about a year ago. We had very little furniture so Denise and Stephanie were tasked with designing an entire 3 bedroom home. First they listened to us to get an idea of our tastes and preferences. Then they quickly came up with ideas and actual options for every room that were a combination of our design preferences and their unique aesthetic. They pushed us to go a little past our initial comfort zone (on design not cost), but now we are so thankful because the result is a fresh and unique look that is bold yet will stand the test of time. As an example of their commitment and professionalism, D2 stood by their recommendations - if something wasn’t right, even after several months, they were willing to take it back and start over with new ideas. Another major strength is the contractors and vendors that D2 works with...they have some really amazing and talented people ready to take on projects. D2 is unique and impressive!!

I have been working with Denise and Kerri, and their assistant Stephanie, on design and decoration for our entire new home, and it has been nothing but a wonderful experience. They are a pleasure to work with, are very responsive and have amazing taste! They have also been so good about understanding my personal taste, and my family's lifestyle, and have incorporated both into the design ideas and execution for our house. D2 recently redesigned a sitting area into a library/study. They did a great job of weaving together traditional elements, such as coffered ceilings and built in book cases with updated items such as a Naguchi coffee table and mid century style desk. Denise and Kerri provided us with the full service, from vendor hiring and oversight down to the decor on our shelving. Aside from having fabulous style themselves, they took our personal style into account and added their own flair. We highly recommend D2.

This dynamic duo performed a miracle makeover on our library, family room and living room in less than two months just in time for a party! Denise and Kerri are an enthusiastic, creative and highly responsive pair, who work closely with clients to design beautiful interiors in a timely manner. We were in great hands and were thrilled with the results! They were even able to blend our tendency toward a more traditional style with a more contemporary look. D2 was careful to design a look we were comfortable with instead of imposing their style on us, even creating multiple schemes or various choices for details until we were happy. I found D2 Interieurs through Houzz and have been so excited about the results we have received. We needed to update our house and were at the time undertaking a renovation project on 2/3rds of it. Denise guided us so that we could make smart decisions along the way. I wanted unique and fun but still practical and cozy. The end results have been beyond what I believed possible. I hired D2 to help me design 2 rooms in my house. It worked out so well that we ended up working with them on many additional rooms AND a basement renovation/redecoration. They were amazing. Denise and Kerri we very professional, prompt, and on top of things. They were always willing to do what was needed to get us what we wanted and get the job done. They were always available to answer any questions and give advice. The girls of D2 work so nicely together to get you that blend of design and color that is perfect for your space. They transformed my dull, dated interior into something fabulous. I am hoping to work with them again soon when we take on our next home project!

Working with Denise has been a truly wonderful experience. She has an inordinate amount of patience for someone like myself who wants a beautiful finished product, yet has a very difficult time visualizing the result. She will tirelessly listen and then magically bring your vision to reality - the best part being - without going to all the vendors and being bombarded by a million choices and then being paralyzed by the overwhelming amount of ideas out there. She listens to what you like, synthesizes what you are saying, and then quickly learns your individual style.
