Davis Home Pros

We loved working with Davis Home Pros. We felt like we had a real partner in our project. You have to trust two things when you hire a contractor: Competence and Integrity. DH Pros excelled at both. They listened to what we wanted, created solutions that were not evident to us- dealt with obstacles and problems with professionalism and care. We live in Rossmoor and there is a level of complexity and approval needed for everything. They managed the whole process without any issues. If they are available and willing to take on your project, you will be fortunate indeed.

Our kitchen remodel was completed within the agreed upon time frame and with integrity. Communication about different aspects of the job was excellent. The billing statements were clear.

Our master bathroom had a double sink (great!), but the counter top measured 37 inches from the floor. That was much too high for us. Further, the decor that came with that bathroom was not at all to our liking. Davis Home Pros ("Davis") was one of the firms that was interested in the project. We asked to look at other projects where they were the main contractors; we interviewed former clients to determine how fast and how responsive Davis was in other projects, and got positive feedback from every former client we spoke with. We met with Davis several times, clarifying questions, circumventing potential issues, and grew more comfortable the more we spoke with them. The project was divided by responsibilities: some were on us (such as scouting for and finding a new countertop, new mirrors, new sinks, new cabinet), and some were laying out and negotiating dates, deliveries, and project waypoints, such as the Demolition phase. Side note: We dreaded the demolition phase: dirt and dust throughout the house, the noise, how the dog would react, the loss of a bathroom for an extended amount of time, pulling permits, the city inspectors, etc. While not pleasant, it was not the horror we thought it would be: the two-person crew sealed off the bathroom with tape and zippered cloth; 98% of the dirt, dust and noise was captured by this internal tent. At the end of the workday, everything was vacuumed and discarded outside in our trash bins. Almost no dirt or dust transferred to the rest of our house. Demolition took about 1 work-week. The work crew were very pleasant and helpful throughout. City inspectors gave us the GoAhead without any issues. During the demolition, we scouted several companies for a new countertop, and per a Davis recommendation, found one with a pattern, color, size AND cost that was acceptable to us; we let Davis know, and they contacted that company and arranged for delivery to fit the work schedule. We found Davis very easy to negotiate with, and they were very helpful, making suggestions, steering us to items that would be less of a problem to order/install/customize/; they have a designer on staff that we consulted with, and excellent communication throughout. We will certainly look towards Davis for our future modifications.

We did a complete kitchen remodel with Davis Home Pros. They were so professional and fun to work with. They arrived on time daily, were neat and tidy and completed the job as predicted. We trusted them being in our home as we worked most days. Their work was beautiful and very well done. They had great solutions to small problems. We highly recommend this company!

Full master bath remodel. Best remodeling experience we have had. Started and finished on time, quality work, pleasant workers who always left a clean workspace. With exception of some elected upgrades, cost came in on target. Would not hesitate to use again.

We hired Davis Home Pros to remodel a home in Orindawoods, and they did a fabulous job. The work was top notch, as was the communication and interest. We were involved at every step of the way, and made changes as we went along, all of which we accommodated without any issues. Our crew chief was Daniel, so we worked closely with him and Richard Davis (who has now retired). We recommend the firm very highly: I can't imagine you'll be disappointed.

Excellent experience with Davis Home Pros for installation of 2 new water-saving toilets. From start to finish, a great job. Two very professional installers. On time, fully prepared, worked diligently from arrival to completion. Treated our home as if it were theirs. Fastidiously neat and clean throughout. Could not have been better. A solid 15 on a scale of 1-10. Relatively small job, we realize, but truly great. BTW, team members fully vaccinated and masked.

I can’t say enough for the great remodel done by Davis Home Pros on my second remodel at Rossmoor. I was so happy with the work they did at my first location that I didn’t hesitate to call them when I moved to another unit. Not only do they do excellent work, they are professional, they work really well as a team, and they were able to solve any problem that came up. They listened to my needs every step of the way and were also very considerate to my neighbors during the construction. Davis Home Pros are the best!!! A big shout out to all of them! They do such a nice job. I was very pleased with my new bathroom which came out beautifully.

I have never engaged in a major reconstruction project, so felt some trepidation starting an almost complete remodel of my 1960’s condo at Rossmoor. Probably everyone knows someone who’s had a disastrous experience with a contractor. However, my experience with Davis Home Pros was the complete opposite of those horror stores. They were timely, on budget, pleasant to work with. I thought the contract price quite reasonable. Before speaking with any contractors, I had an architect draw up plans, which Davis implemented faithfully. There were no permit or inspection delays or hitches with either Rossmoor or Walnut Creek City inspections. However, Davis has such expert designers, in retrospect I am not sure that it was necessary to have an architect’s plans done. And the plans did not specify a number of factors, such as what grade of windows to use, what grade of cabinetry, what the floor materials were to be. But, I had a very specific vision in my mind, and the staff at Davis knew the materials available and helped me achieve that vision. They really listened to me and drew upon their professional experience to create a space that feels very personal for me. I recommend Davis Home Pros without reservation!
