From our first meeting with Debra, we were impressed with her professionalism and her immediate sense of the vision we had for our "refresh". Over the months of working with her, we learned what a talented and resourceful decorator she is. She helped us select not only kitchen countertops and backsplash materials, but beautiful fabrics and wallpaper as well as new paint throughout our home. She introduced us to and collaborated with various contractors, all of whom were not only excellent but also nice people. Maybe that's because Debra is herself very thoughtful and very nice. After purchasing our dream townhome in Santa Barbara, my husband and I took a breath and when the reality set in, we both exclaimed, “what next?” Charming and a skip across the street from the beach…there were many pluses except, it still had shades of the 70s lurking. Debra came to the rescue and saw our diamond in the rough. With a patient ear, Debra helped us define “our look” by carefully guiding us through several concepts. Two major bathroom remodels (bye-bye coral tile), a demo’d wet bar and a new updated entry…we were on our way! We took advantage of Debra’s tremendous knowledge of resources and were able to hone down fabulous fabrics, updated hardware, perfect neutral toned paint and, most important, the right scale of furniture and design for our living spaces. When it came to “icing the cake” with accessorizing, Debra zeroed in on several pieces of art we had destined for storage and opened our eyes by suggesting ideas we had not envisioned. She checks and rechecks when she orders any item, whether it is upholstery fabric or a pillow case. She works with a great team of professionals. Her upholsterer and seamstress are terrific!
