I hate that I had to at least click 1 star. You are better off just buying a hunting blind to live in. My house foundation that was put in on the property I bought the cut all the field tiles and never capped them off. After less then 5 years the back sliding glass door was leaking through and rotted the floor out. They came and pulled the door out and replaced door. It’s now year 11 and it is once again leaking and rotting out. They only offer a 10 year warranty so they won’t do anything. As far as the farm tiles they didn’t cap off my crawl space constantly floods. I also just had to pay a lot of money to get the field tiled since they were full of dirt and plugged. By all means please never use this horrible construction company. Trying to help other people so they don’t make the dumb mistake I did.

A very professional builder. They are full service company that starts the process with a concept, design, material selection and finishing with project management to home completion. They have full time sales staff that works with you to come up with a design that meets your needs and budget. Another huge plus is that they have material show room onsite that allows you select every detail for the home. But if want to chose other options that they don't have on-hand they are very accommodating. They have a very detailed contract that really spells out exactly what you are getting from day one. If you do have a change during the build they are very organized at documenting the changes and the costs or savings to the initial contact. The contract does also contain a completion date which is monitored and adhered to. Using DeShano to build our house was really stress free for us and you don't often hear those words about building a home. The bottomline is DeShano's entire staff from top to bottom are professional and organized. If we were to build another home DeShano would our first and only choice.

No one calls back after making a few calls . Problem with flooring subfloor was never cleaned . I have had flooring done a few times in my life and never seen a poor job like this

We had DeShano Companies replace a wraparound porch and add a deck to our cottage in Northern Michigan last summer. I did a lot of shopping around to find a contractor. I am a trial attorney who has litigated more than a hundred construction disputes and know the questions to ask and the things to watch out for. With that background, I cannot say enough good words about DeShano -- Jeff Zettel worked with us through several plan iterations until we finally settled on the scope of work. The specs were complete; the price reasonable and fair; its workers showed up on the day DeShano said they would; it completed the job within the original schedule; when the job was done, the Job Superintendent, Scott Hillier, pointed out some things that should be redone that we did not even notice; DeShano did those things quickly and without complaint; and the quality is exceptional. We could not be more pleased from the start of build for our new home to the final finish. DeShano Companies and their contractors were extremely professional and helpful during this entire process. It was a wonderful feeling knowing who was working at our house since most of the people who work for DeShano Companies are from our area. Our home has turned out so much more beautiful than we thought it would. We both know that we will use DeShano Companies again with any future projects.

We hired DeShano Companies to build our forever home and they did just that. Everyone at DeShano were really helpful with any questions we had during the building process. When we changed our minds on some designs aspects they made it a breeze to get the changes in order. They even got the build done a week ahead of schedule which was great because we were anxious to move in!

I was very satisfied with the entire new home construction process by Deshano. I worked with Jeff for several years before and he always maintained the professionalism I encountered from our very first conversation. Jeff was usually available to take a call and always returned calls promptly. He was very knowledgeable and sensitive to our particular needs. The administrative staff was very helpful and professional as well. We could not be happier with our site manager, Doug. He kept us up to date with day by day plans and finished our project on time. All of the workers were highly skilled and took pride in their work. I highly recommend Deshano; we love our new home!

Everyone at deshano's was very helpful and good to work with. They allowed us to design our own home and do a lot of the work along the way. Great for a homeowner who wants to participate as much or as little as they are able to.

I do recommend Deshano Companies for your home building project. I selected a "shell package" because I wanted to be more hands on in building our cottage. Jeff Zettel did an awesome job guiding me through the process. His expertise helped me with many of my decisions and believe me there are a lot of them. Scott Hillier did a great job managing all the trades on site. Everybody who walks through the door comments on the quality & craftsmanship they see in the home. Even though I decided on a shell package, I find myself going back for flooring and cupboards as I finish the interior. I dealt with 3 different companies (all great) and I chose Deshano because of their professionalism and pricing. No regrets!

Hired Deshano to construct a home for me in northern Michigan. I live in Dallas Tx. They completed the job on time and everything was done how we wanted. It was difficult due the distance but Delano was able to coordinate all aspects of this custom build.

A large, well staffed company that helped us make the selections and modifications resulting in what we consider is our perfect retirement home. Their large showroom lets you see the materials you are selecting. Their use of the internet and computerized kitchen design made it possible to finalize the design from across the state and complete the project to meet our moving schedule. They were very flexible in crediting things like closet shelving which we chose to do ourselves. They are up to date on building codes and produced a very energy efficient building. Their follow up team is very capable to fix the defects that are discovered after moving in.

Over all we are very satisfied with the way our sunroom project was done. With only a minor exception all the people involved in the project did an excellent job. The minor exception was electrical. Even though the electrician quoted code, I still believe that minimum code and 'real world' are not the same thing. After some discussion, I feel that we got closer to my requirements. Would I recommend DeShano? Yes, definitely.
