We absolutely love our new playroom! Abbey and her team took our unorganized basement and transformed it into the perfect play and learning space for our children. After discussing their interests and needs, Abbey came up with a brilliant layout and walked us through with her 3D rendering. The process afterward was pretty fast; after all the orders were placed and received, her team came in and worked their magic in less than a week. Our kids love the loft and rock wall she designed. We moved here from the city, and Abbey tied that in with the beautiful mural of the NYC skyline that is now the focal point of the room. She also designated different areas for specific types of play- gross motor is a big area (per our request), an arts and crafts station, a kitchen, a reading nook and a dramatic play area. All our storage bins are labeled (with photos!), making it easy for my 2 and 4 year olds to clean up after themselves. Abbey and her team have been an absolute pleasure to work with. Playtime is now structured and truly a learning experience for my children, thanks to Little Learners Studio.

Design-to Learn made my life as a mother of young children much easier. Abbey and her team divided the playroom into different stations. Each station serves as a different learning space. My kids had no idea how much they were learning because it was set up in such a playful way. In addition the aesthetic appeal of the room is gorgeous. Abbey and her team at Little Learners transformed our lower level into an amazing play space for my children. She first met with me, surveyed the space and took a thorough intake of our needs as well as hopes for the play space. She then came to me with her ideas as well as a budget that included visuals and design content. Seeing her novel, thoughtful and developmentally appropriate concepts on paper made me so exited to begin the project. When we were scheduled to begin, her team came in and sorted thorough and organized our toys. When all furniture and fixtures arrived the team carefully assembled and placed them as Abbey indicated. Finally the team put it all together and we have a room the kids love. I recommend this service to anyone with kids, too many toys and a space that could use an immediate and fun transformation.

I would hire Little Learners Studio: Design-to-Learn over and over and over... My husband & I can't recommend them highly enough! Abbey & her team have created a space in my home that the children and anyone who sees it absolutely loves! I can't even begin to express how much of my sanity has been salvaged because of the way everything is organized! The kids actually have fun putting their toys away by matching the toy to the images on the containers. It's almost fool proof! We all enjoy the nooks that have been created for pretend play, arts/crafts, reading, etc. I sometimes catch myself walking into the playroom and staring at how much thought was put into each detail. Design-to-Learn works with what you have, takes into consideration what your needs are and what you are looking for in a play space. They deliver with something that is aesthetically pleasing & will far exceed your expectations... ;))

Design-to-Learn transformed our basement "junk room" into a fun and functional play space for my family. The talented and conscientious team created a brand new area for my kids to do art projects, homework and hang out with their friends and also a mud room plus much better storage options for winter clothing and sports equipment. The founder's expertise in education and child development were evident in every aspect of the project: from the materials and colors she chose to the lay out to the careful organization of our books and toys. Our new room includes a sitting area, homework/project table complete with white boards and a fabulous bench/storage nook plus a gym/workout space. Before we were referred to the Little Learners Studio, our playroom looked like a tornado had hit Toys R Us. Some days, I couldn't bring myself to even play down there because it brought me anxiety to see the disorganization. I had almost reached my breaking point, and then I met with Abbey. On our first meeting, Abbey spent over an hour talking with me, to learn who I was and understand my intentions/expectations of our playroom. She took the time to fully comprehend who we were as a family, and learn about each of my children. Then she talked me through the Design-to-Learn concept, and how she could transform my playspace. I was still skeptical. Within a week, Abbey came back to my house with a comprehensive, picture-filled proposal of before pictures of each "area" of my current playroom, and the renderings of her vision for the future. Each area seemed so exciting and creative, and it was evident that she and her team had put extensive thought and educational knowledge behind each piece. As she flipped through the pages and narrated her pictures and ideas, I was already brainstorming the ways to convince my husband to move forward. In fact, it was a no brainer. Why hadn't I thought of this??? The project scope was planned and the work began. Each member of Abbey's team was personable and friendly. They spent their time efficiently, but were extremely thorough. They were respectful of my time (nap times, oops-I'm-going-to-need-you-to-come-later times, etc.) They met all of their deadlines. And the finished product exceeded all of my expectations. I have worked with countless teams, managed many projects and hired a number of vendors. But Abbey and the Little Learners Studio stands a head taller than the rest. They were able to work within my budget, and get creative when necessary. And in the end, I have the most desirable (and most organized!) playroom in town. If you have a playspace of any size, and need a makeover that is easy to maintain, call Abbey. It was the best money spent on my kids so far...maybe college will be a close second :)

We asked Abbey Kumar of Little Learners Studio to help us design a space that our girls could grow into. We did not want anything childish, but wanted a functional place that would stimulate their creativity, imagination, and activity. We also wanted something completely unique, that incorporated a ballet studio, art center, and "chill-out" space for our girls and their friends. As you can see from the photographs, Abbey absolutely understood what we were looking for and conceptualized and executed our dream room. The girls and their friends love hanging out there. The room is, in every way, a huge success. Kudos to Little Learners Studio, Abbey, and her team!
