I found Nancy by reading reviews and ratings and boy am I happy I did. My husband and I are building our dream retirement home near Wilmington and the guidance provided by Nancy and her team has been immeasurable. She has walked us through the process with professionalism and organization, while providing wonderful ideas along the way. She never pushes her preferences onto her clients, but really listens to requests and provides valuable guidance. What I went in thinking I wanted was nothing compared to the finished product. She has knowledge beyond my expectations and we could not be more excited with our selections. I would 100% recommend Dezign Expectations to anyone. They truly can’t be beat!

We were so glad to work with Nancy and she did a wonderful job. We hired her to furnish our beach house, and was glad to as we live out of town and she took care of everything. She worked with us through zoom and telephone for us to pick out what we wanted. Many times in the evening to accommodate our schedule. We feel the quality of furniture we received was well worth it and was very please that she arranged delivery and set up of all of it. We hired Nancy Mullineaux of Dezign Inspirations through her Builder Program. We were building a new, custom home in Saint James Plantation and wanted the assistance of a “designer’s eye” to help ensure our home would be exactly the way we wanted it With the Builder Program, we were able to make all of our selections under one roof, from our tile, counter tops, cabinetry, flooring, to the paint on the walls and base boards! Nancy’s showroom offered a vast and unique array of products, which were priced lower than anywhere else I’ve seen. Nancy made the building process virtually seamless by supplying all the needed tradespeople (who were top notch) and coordinating them in such an efficient manner that we were able to move in to our home three weeks ahead of schedule! Having moved to Wilmington from up north, we realized that what furniture we did bring with us didn’t really fit into a coastal look. Off we went with Nancy to the High Point Furniture Market where, over a span of two days, we were able to make the majority of our selections for every room in the house. What we couldn’t find there we were able to select from Nancy’s huge sample resources and catalogue library in her showroom. We were even able to purchase our custom bedding, draperies & window blinds through Dezign Inspirations. They seamlessly coordinated everything from the selections, ordering, delivery to the installation for everything. We couldn’t imagine going through this process without the invaluable and creative guidance of Nancy and her amazing team. Whether it was helping us select the base construction items for our home or pulling together the various rooms within it in terms of furniture and accessories, Nancy made the experience a true joy. As with most "boomers" whose children have moved out and started their new lives, the idea of scaling back and downsizing life in a new home brought with it the opportunity to create a new chapter, a new feel and a very different lifestyle. After approaching Nancy with our ideas regarding style (casual more than formal), colors (softer rather than bolder) and comfort, she very quickly was able to create an entire new look by pulling out various fabrics, different furniture styles, colors and complimentary materials (wood, wrought iron, rugs, etc.) that immediately created the blend and look to which we desired. Once the final choices were made, her team very efficiently forwarded a completed floor plan for the house indicating the best possible placement of everything for our review. The hardest part of the entire process was the waiting for the delivery and installation of items (window treatments, furniture, lighting, etc.) after placing the orders as each company we were dealing with had different time schedules. When all was said and done, the house looks incredible. Every room flows gracefully into the next creating the comfortable and beautiful space that we had envisioned. Nancy's eye for detail, her quick ability to blend the proper colors and textures (pillows, window treatments, rugs, furniture) and the excitement she demonstrates with a project made working with her and her entire team a truly fun (and learning) experience. No doubt there are many interior design companies/individuals in our area to whom we could have worked with. However, Nancy’s reputation for understanding the client’s desires and her ability to take those ideas & thoughts and bring them to fruition were well worth the 2-1/2 hour to the beach to engage her services. We were renovating a coastal home and interested in utilizing a local professional team for color inspiration, window coverings, furniture purchases and furniture placement to reflect our new location. Thanks to the Dezign Inspirations team we now enjoy a color-cohesive home which flows both inside and out. We attribute the seamless flow to the color choices and the furniture selections we made through the team’s resources and expertise. The home now reflects our personalities and our lifestyle. We appreciated the flexibility to utilize the Dezign Inspirations services customized to our needs. We were already working with numerous trades and appreciated the experience and council Nancy provided. Her expertise saved us hours in research and followup. Once the perfect window coverings and furniture pieces were identified, Nancy and her team managed the ordering, shipping, inspecting each item and scheduling product installation or delivery. We were pleased with the variety of products and the pricing Nancy provided. If there are any challenges within the process, the Dezign team worked until we were completely satisfied. Nancy and the team dedicated the time and energy to ensure our home reflects exactly what we wanted both visually and within our financial limits.

My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Nancy and her dedicated design team on the 10-month long construction of our new home. As recent transplants to the area, we were eager to shrug off the cold cloak of northern, city living and create a sunny oasis for ourselves in our newly adopted beach town. We were fortunate that a good friend of ours, who had moved to the area several years earlier, had a wonderful recommendation for us for an interior designer – Nancy Mullineaux – who had helped design their custom home, which we incidentally loved. Our journey began with sitting down with Nancy and her staff and looking over our blueprints before setting a date to break ground. They carefully assessed every detail of the floor plans, room by room, and made numerous creative suggestions, some of which weren’t even addressed by the architect! Over the course of the project Nancy and her team consistently kept us updated and informed on our project timelines, and never ceased to work in a collaborative effort with our builder, architect, etc. It was a true team effort and it made the potentially stressful aspect of building a new home a relaxing, enjoyable and actually FUN experience because we knew what good hands we were in. An added benefit of working with Nancy is the incredible array of resources she has available in her retail showroom. We were saved the inconvenience and aggravation of having to run all over town trying to coordinate our tile, wood & carpet, cabinets with countertops, paint and everything else needed since she offered it all under one roof. Being a very price conscious consumer having worked in the banking industry for forty years, I was pleasantly surprised by how far our budget went thanks to Nancy’s “cost-plus” pricing structure, which allowed us to purchase everything we needed at contractor’s pricing. We were even able to furnish our entire home with customized furniture, accessories, lamps, tables, chairs, custom bedding, blinds etc. Pretty much everything we needed for our new home. Through Nancy’s showroom offerings, all with the unwavering assistance of her and her design team’s creative vision and ability to pull together ideas, we were shown fresh concepts that we would not have been able to come up with on our own. Our experience of tackling building a custom house resulted in a beautiful home that we love, and that evolved into being a true reflection of us and our busy lifestyle of entertaining along with our growing family, dogs and grandchildren. We began the renovation process on our own but quickly realized we were in over our head when it came to making crucial design decisions including coordinating backsplash, countertop, furniture and paint selections. We found numerous products online that we liked and felt would work for our space; however, after having to pay to return a set of bar stools purchased online because they didn’t work for our space, we decided it was time to consult with a professional interior designer. Nancy Mullineaux’s expertise saved us countless hours, headaches and made the renovation process painless and completely stress-free. Nancy and her team manage all aspects from ordering, shipping, inspecting each item and scheduling product installation or delivery. We were absolutely stunned by the quality of materials and custom furnishings that Nancy was able to offer us. In short, Nancy and the team at Dezign Inspirations made it possible for a young couple to utilize professional interior design services, obtain the highest quality materials and products while remaining affordable and within budget. I had an amazing experience with Nancy and her Dezign associates even more so than expected with this being my first time using a designer and embarking on a home renovation. Although I was a bit intimidated calling her for the first time (not sure how far my budget would go), she was so warm and friendly I was immediately put at ease. My two bedroom, downtown cottage was totally transformed by her company. With the wide range of resources and top notch materials available in her shop to choose from as well as with her Dezign team’s guidance, I was able to choose countertops, flooring, tile, light fixtures and furniture that coordinate and flow well from room to room. I could not have achieved the end results on my own. There is no doubt I would have chosen items that looked fragmented, not matching, flowing or working well in my space. Furthermore, I would have had extreme difficulty finding and coordinating reliable and talented laborers for the job. All of the people she hired to complete the work were so talented and their craftsmanship and professionalism was beyond words!!!! Again, I couldn’t be more pleased with the timeliness of my project and how everything turned out! Nancy and her team combine both wonderful design intuition with an amazing array of great tradespeople to deliver jaw-dropping results. Dezign Inspirations turned a sad, boring, little house into a home we love to come back to again and again. Their ability to line up electricians, plumbers, painters, HVAC, glass installers, tilers, and flooring people is off the charts! Being able to do all this and still stay on budget and deliver on schedule brings tremendous value to their clients.
