We talked with several general contractors and design/build firms before deciding to select DGK for our kitchen remodel. Our initial decision to go with DGK was based on a strong sense that they were trustworthy and excellent communicators. After walking through the entire process with them, our initial impressions were correct! Now that the remodel is complete, we understand that the qualities we observed in our earliest interactions with them were the same qualities that contributed to our excellent experience throughout the entire process. On this side of our renovation, we could not be happier with our choice to go with DGK or our experience during the process. Our completed kitchen is more than we could have hoped for, not only because of the quality of work but also because of the design. If we had made all the design choices on our own, I don’t think we would have had enough confidence to get the look and feel we wanted…we would have played it safe. Lilliana and her team were able to understand what we wanted in the design and delivered more than we could have achieved on our own. Living through a 4-month kitchen renovation with 2 children and 2 working parents was no small thing, but the team did all they could to make the process and experience as pleasant as possible. Jacob and Jeremiah were amazing to work with as project managers and we truly enjoyed talking to them about the progress on the kitchen and everything in between. We enjoyed everything about working with DGK, and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for an excellent company and experience, from start to finish.

My husband and I had our home built 25 years ago and things just started to break and wear out. We host many holidays and get togethers so we had to decide if we wanted to renovate to better match our frequent hosting needs or move. We were so pleased the DGK Design and Build family was able to guide us through the design process and renovation. At the first walk through Dmitriy crawled in the attic to get an idea of what walls could come down. Lilliana created a Pinterest page so she understood our aesthetics, Jacob managed the project with great care and detail (and very little mess) and Virginia provided all the billing details. The gentlemen who worked on the custom cabinets, tiled, and painted were true craftsman. Now that we have been in the space and hosted several holidays and parties I am even more THRILLED with the results!

We loved working with the team at DGK. This family run company goes the extra step to treat their clients like family too. They listened to our design ideas and made improvements to make our sunroom better than we could have imagined. They spend time on the initial design and plan which we found helpful so we knew what to expect. Once they started physically working on the space, it was enjoyable to watch yet be completely hands off. We’ve worked with DGK on multiple projects, and our experience has been nothing short of outstanding. For example, the plumbing team not only did a great job, but even went beyond their scope — unclogging a drain they weren’t responsible for, at no extra cost. The tile installer also went above and beyond: he noticed imperfections in the tile that we hadn’t even seen, and took it upon himself to have the entire batch replaced rather than install something subpar. We’ve had them complete several projects in our home, including a nanny suite with a kitchenette and new bathroom, our master bathroom, and an additional full bathroom. Every space was completed with great attention to detail and craftsmanship. This company truly stands out for their professionalism, quality, and client-first attitude. We would confidently recommend them to anyone considering a home renovation. We wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again — in fact, we’re already considering them for our next renovation. We used DGK to renovate our primary bathroom, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the finished product. From the initial consultation to the final touches, the DGK team was professional, responsive, and highly skilled at what they do. We didn't know where to begin, but they led us through thr process. They started by redesigning the layout and suggesting tile/finishes to use. They installed a new glass shower, soaking tub, vanity, tile flooring, toilet, lighting, and all new fixtures. The quality of the workmanship was excellent — everything looks beautiful and functions perfectly. They stayed on schedule and communicated regularly about progress and any decisions that needed to be made. What I appreciated most was their respect for our home, they kept the work area tidy and minimized disruption by using zip up curtain barriers to keep the dust & fumes out of our bedroom. DKG did a full bathroom remodel to help us accommodate my mother moving in with us. The curbless shower with grab bars and seat is perfection. All work is excellent craftsmanship, work completed on time and great communication throughout process.

We added a MIL suite which included a bedroom, gorgeous master bath, and a sitting room to our Charlotte home.
