We worked with DMV for a major renovation after a friend recommended them, and the experience and end product were terrible. We had major communications problems with the project manager throughout the project, many of which resulted in things we can't change now without major expense and hassle. For example, the shower in the primary bath was too small after they'd installed it, and we agreed on a plan that would partially fix it, but he failed to communicate to the workers, they just didn't follow the plan we'd agreed on. So it's now too small and without the minor fix that would have improved it, and we can't make a change without tearing apart the entire bathroom. We continue to have major issues with our HVAC, which was a major part of the renovation. Our floors are not level, despite us asking about them well in advance. We have now hired another contractor to fix as many mistakes as possible. As our project already went months over schedule and thousands over budget, we are not excited to be making fixes over a year later out of our own pocket. I would highly recommend against working with them.

Project design, materials selection, clarity of pricing & willingness to work within budget constraints, skilled craftsmen, adherence to timeline (completed well within projected schedule) all resulted in the kitchen of my dreams. DMV just finished a major renovation of the first floor of our duplex in DC. In addition to realizing our vision for the space, which includes kitchen, powder room, dining room, living room and new hardwood floors, they were highly professional, pleasant and fairly priced. We had interviewed other contractors for the project and found them to be inattentive to our expressed needs, some imposing their own visions on our space while neglecting ours, some extremely costly and some unresponsive - I mean they did not pick up the phone. Bottom line is that we love our new kitchen in particular as they opened a smallish apartment kitchen into the dining/living areas and the result is beautiful. And, they finished the project on time, came back a number of times for finishing touches, to add items we had not though of and throughout both the owner, Javier, and his employees were pleasant, on time and professional.

DMV Kitchen and Bath just finished the second project at our home. The first in late 2022 was a major upgrade and enlargement of a primary bathroom and creation of a walk-in closet. We love it and it turned out gorgeous. The second project was finished in November 2024 and the results are even better. We needed to repair a room in the basement that had had water damage. We decided to include a variety of other updates for our home at the same time. DMV worked closely with us to bring our vision into existence. In the basement we now have a new fourth bedroom, including 2 large new closets along with new lighting, paint and doors in other rooms on that level. The large laundry room was gutted with new kitchen cabinets and pantries installed along with new lighting. The other 2 bathrooms in the house were upgraded to the same vanities and cabinets as the primary bathroom. Javier provided great assistance helping us with the design, selection of materials, and practicality of various ideas and solutions. David, as leader of the construction crew, was exceptionally good at communicating with us and coordinating and supervising all of the workers involved in the project. David and his staff did great work. We are very pleased with the final project. We highly recommend DMV.

Great work overall. Javier and Frank the project managers were friendly and responsive. The person that did most of the actual work (William) was exceptional in all aspects of the job. My wife and I love the finished product.

There are not enough STARS to give DMV Kitchen and Bath! This was our first renovation project in an 80 year old house; we had a primary bathroom completely gutted and renovated into one that supported aging in place. Lucas was our project manager and did an incredible job. His communication was SUPERB and their bid was one of the best of 6 companies we compared. Lucas answered every single question we had and made sure we felt confident. The team working in our house, Jacinto and Jefferson, were so talented, kind and meticulous. Our house was always left incredibly clean and we were given the opportunity to ask questions every single day. This company is second to none. We can't wait to plan our next project.

DMV are great contractors. DMV installed an elevator which involved significant construction and remodeling. They - Javier the CEO -listens to your needs, is very responsive, implements on time and in accordance with the agreed budget. The quality of the work teams (who stay with your through the project) is exceptional. They clean up after everyday's work and the quality of the output is terrific.

DMV was terrific! They remodeled my basement, converting an unfinished room to a library, the half bath to a full, new flooring, lighting, added a glass enclosed wine storage under the stairwell, and completely gutted the guest bath. The finished work is absolutely beautiful. They were on budget and on time - the crew was so professional and I was kept informed by them and the PM every day so I always knew what was being executed. I would absolutely hire them again and give them my highest recommendation. Amazing work!

DMV Kitchen and Bath RECOMMENDATION 2023 March In December 2022-January 2023, DMV Kitchen and Bath completely gutted and rebuilt 2 bathrooms for me (foundation, pipes, electric – everything). In addition, they restored several 110 year-old door transoms, installed new doors (5 panel solid wood) throughout the house, upgraded some woodwork, installed two pocket doors, and painted a few rooms. We used high quality materials throughout, not builder-grade. This is the third time I’ve asked DMV Kitchen and Bath to do a major renovation in one of my properties over the last 10 years. Each time they have done superior work when it comes to: •Doing service properly on first try •Promptness •Letting you know cost early •Neatness of work •Pleasantness •Advice on service options and costs •Overall quality •Prices I cannot recommend DMV Kitchen and Bath more highly. All three times, it’s been a hassle-free experience with excellent results. They’ve exceeded my (high) expectations every time.

I had 2 bathrooms upgraded by DMV Kitchen and Bath, and I couldn’t be happier. Lucas, the designer and overseer of the project, as well as his team were a pleasure to work with and were very flexible. Communication was excellent from initial design to completion. Lucas assisted me in choosing the products and made the selection so easy for me. I have absolutely no complaints. The workers were prompt, worked efficiently, and were very skilled. When something did come up, I was consulted, and the issue was taken care of quickly and without question. The men even did a little extra in one of the bathrooms, and I was so appreciative. Lucas and his men were very professional, detail oriented, and respected me as well as my home. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. When it comes time to update my kitchen, I will look no further than this company. They are truly fabulous to work with and do exceptional work. I highly recommend them.

We highly recommend DMV Kitchen and Bath. They remodeled our 3 full bathrooms, and updated our kitchen counters and back splash. We started by choosing 3 highly rated companies from Angi, and requested quotes from each. One of the 3 would have had us acting as our own buyers, and we wanted the contractor to take care of that. Of the remaining two, DMV's quote was significantly lower than the other. Our designer Javier was very attentive to our wishes and took the time to make sure that we understood what was to be done and were happy with the materials that we had chosen. The two-man team who did the work were very competent, energetic and efficient. There were a few small problems along the way, but Javier and his team did what was necessary to correct any problems to our satisfaction. We are very happy with the results, and would definitely use them again. Highly recommended!

DMV is the best!!!! We hired DMV to remodel our kitchen and could not be happier or more impressed with the work. The entire process from start to finish was top notch. Javi was exceptionally responsive during the quote/design process, and Maynor and Maynor did flawless work and were a pleasure to have in our home. We really cannot say enough good things about this team. They exceeded all of our expectations, and the price was very competitive.
