From the first time we met with Greg (owner of New Wave) we were impressed. We had a difficult space to conceptualize with a hill and property lines. Most pool companies we spoke with didn’t come out and help us vision. They expected us to know what size pool we wanted and where we wanted it. Greg, on the other hand, came out to our house, helped us develop a vision based on our constraints and provided us with digital images to further visualize the concept. Greg and his crew did a terrific job on our in-ground, saltwater pool. Starting from the first visit, Greg's experience was evident as he worked with us to lay out the pool and amenities to fit our yard and needs perfectly. His saying "there is a pool for every yard" is 100% true, and he will help you get there. Greg used 3D renderings to help visualize all aspects of the pool and accurately describe details of the final design. His crew was prompt, on-site every day making positive progress - without any re-work. I never had to worry about what was happening with our project, the crew was on site every day. Their professionalism was evident during the summer of 2021, with significant disruption to the supply chain, our project never had to wait for the delivery of a critical item. I credit this to their significant experience in the industry and mastery of project scheduling. If you want a pool in the Tennessee Valley, New Wave Custom Pools has my highest recommendation.

Selecting a pool contractor is the single most important step in creating your backyard paradise! It’s a huge project even with perfect weather conditions installing a concrete pool can take 6-8 weeks once construction begins. Additional time is well spent in designing a pool with your specific wants and needs in mind. I highly recommend meeting with at least 3 contractors to discuss your budget and ideas. For us the choice was easy. GT Custom Pools! Greg and Karen worked together on the design process and transformed our ideas into a fantastic 3D rendering of our future backyard oasis. Greg and Karen were easy to work with and consulted us on every detail from size, tile & concrete finishes, equipment, optional features. We are so happy with our pool. Dennis and Stan were our chief pool artisans, bringing our 3D design to life. Pride in their work was evident the entire 8 weeks. They were very professional, true craftsmen and likeable too. Be prepared 8 weeks is a long time to have mounds of dirt (sometimes mud), heavy equipment and contractors disrupting your yard. It was actually entertaining to watch the process and progress. Christopher and Brian helped as well from time to time when extra hands were needed and later in November when we closed the pool for the first time. I highly recommend GT Custom Pools, a family owned and operated business with a great team that will work hard to create your unique backyard oasis.

Outstanding work by Greg and his team! Excellent communication letting us know how each phase of the project was proceeding, and kept us up-to-date with issues or concerns. Overall, amazing work, would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quality pool.

At our very first meeting with Greg, we felt confident in his knowledge and ability to build our dream pool. He listened to every detail we wanted and made it happen. I have never been part of a project where something unexpected didn't happen, and this project was no exception. But GT Pools found us an amazing electrical company to take care of those issues and now we have a beautiful pool, hot tub, and fire pit area. GT Pools exceeded our expectations in every way. They were friendly, extremely professional and knowledgable, and the quality of the work is amazing. I would recommend them without hesitation!

GT Custom Pools did an outstanding job on my project. Greg and Karen worked with me to make sure the final product delivered was exactly what I wanted in the time frame that I wanted. Our project was complex because of a small yard but they handled it all very well. The design phase was crucial and I made lots of changes in that stage and Greg was happy to work with me on those without complaint. I would highly recommend GT Custom Pools.

GT Custom Pool is GOOD!!! I mean, from the consultation to the final cleaning before we dived in was nothing less than professionalism, courtesy, concern and very personable. Karen and Greg were extremely helpful and patient with us as 1st time buyers. Budget, well, I’m a firm believer, you get what you pay for. For the quality of pool we received the money was well worth it. The knowledge, work quality and care the guys put into every day was priceless. I could not believe the deadline was met. We had no problems with anything. From 95-100 degree heat in dead of summer to rain, nothing stopped these guys. We signed July 5, we were in the pool the1st week of August. Huge thanks to Greg and his crew. You guys know what you’re doing. From a 30 year Marine, I salute you all.

So happy with our pool! We have a small yard and weren’t sure if a pool would fit, let alone look good. Now our backyard is the talk of the neighborhood! They designed a beautiful space for us. No inconvenience whatsoever. They started on time and finished fast——and the job was done professionally. I would highly recommend this company. You can go other places and pay less... but you get what you pay for. They not only handled the pool, but moved our hot tub, leveled the whole backyard, tiled most of the yard and all the mechanics (filter, heater, etc) are our of sight and on a concrete pad that is easy to get to. Everyone who comes over says our backyard is like a high-end spa. So proud of the fact that we can now use all of our space..... all drainage problems were engineered into the design. Only took about 8 weeks from beginning to close. We wish we would have done this years ago. Remember to read reviews and don’t go with the cheapest quotes! You get what you pay for. Johnson pools has been in the area for a long time and have always helped us when we’ve had any issues with our hot tub.

After contacting multiple pool builders in our area for an estimate, we initially contracted with another company who failed to both accurately assess the scope of the project and follow through on promised goods and services. At that juncture we were cautious, we contacted GT Pools and Greg was able to meet with us to provide recommendations and a clear pool proposal that conformed to required building codes by moving the existing fence line. The proposal opened up our backyard significantly and allowed us to choose the size and shape of the pool we really wanted. The results are fabulous; the pool, the pool decking and the landscaped area turned out better than expected. Greg was able to take a small, dreary courtyard and turn it into a beautiful and spacious outdoor living space. Our pool was completed in the winter months, Greg promised to return in the spring and set up the flow rate and automation for a water feature we purchased after the fact. Greg did in fact meet with us a couple weeks ago to finalize set up of the water feature. We are not native to the area, but we have had the disappointing experience of contractor no-shows on more than one occasion. GT Pools will not disappoint, Greg adheres to the schedule and is no nonsense in his approach, he answers your questions and provides you with the information you need to make decisions. We highly recommend GT Pools for their professional and reliable service.

The GT Custom Pools team has been a dream to work with. Their building experience and designer's eye for detail helped create a fabulous pool for our backyard.
