My wife and I bought a condo unit in an old concrete structure with a gorgeous view of the Sound in Edmonds. We spent 30-60 days trying to find a general contractor who would help us execute our vision for this space. After interviewing four contractors we were so fortunate to meet Don Christensen and his son David. They are a family business with a strong track record of accomplishing challenging projects. Being on the 5th floor of an old building with limited space in the elevator to move materials and equipment was a logistical challenge. More importantly the limited work hours and restrictive work rules imposed by the Condo Owners Association were entirely anticipated by Don and his subcontractors and crew. They were very respectful of the other unit owners during the entire project. Christensen Contractors was completely transparent identifying all of their costs with each billing with regular schedule updates. Don's staff were excellent craftsmen with attention to detail and the subcontractors they work with share the same passion for quality work. Don's goal was to provide us with complete satisfaction throughout the project was greatly appreciated.

CCI was excellent to work with. They were able to move some walls and closets around, finish a full master bath remodel, install & refinish wood floors throughout the entire house all in 5 months. They did a great job estimating the project and tracking expenses, so it came in within budget. The subs they chose for painting, floor install, and tile were great as well. I highly recommend them.

Don and his team members are great to work with — collaborative, communicative and friendly. Don was a good listener and respected my need to consider both cost and value in making decisions. He has excellent relationships with subcontractors. Our project had a forced 5-week Covid pause, yet as soon as the shutdown ended his subcontractors mobilized quickly and minimized the delays. Quality of work was very good to excellent and costs were well managed and transparent. Don is very knowledgeable and as a result, is good at both preventing problems and solving the ones that inevitably arise. I would and probably will strongly recommend CCI to my friends.

We wanted to remodel part of our basement and had several contractors come out to provide a bid. We ended up going with Christensen Contractors, Inc because of their professionalism, the options they provided us and the price the quoted was very reasonable. Throughout the process we had constant communication with Don the owner. He was always courteous and available. The crew that did the work were also professional and did an excellent job. The job went extremely well and was better than what we expected. There were never any hidden costs and the job came in on the agreed upon budget.
