I am very lucky to have met such a talented design team. They are able to make small changes that accentuate the positive nature of the house. For our home, the wall between the dining room and living room was torn down to create an open and bright space which further highlights our stunning ocean view. What a great design! We’ve been living here for 6 years now and could not find anything to complain about. We adore this home.

Our project to build a large mountain hut for public use inside a provincial park was incredibly unique, demanding, and time-consuming, given the need to satisfy a multi-headed client and BC Parks. The hut was off grid with access by foot or helicopter. The budget was tight. Don was the perfect match for us with his love of Whistler and the outdoors. He jumped in with no reservations and was generous, thorough, and attentive from beginning to end. He led us through a collaborative design process to meet our specific programmatic needs and guided us through three construction seasons. As the primary consultant, he coordinated a large team of consultants, with a special focus on modularity, energy efficiency, building envelope details, and material selection. He sought creative solutions and worked closely with our volunteers/suppliers/trades. Despite the challenges, Don remained positive and committed. He was a complete pleasure to work with and we recommend his firm wholeheartedly.

Don Stuart designed my home from 2005- 2006 and oversaw its construction until its completion in mid 2008. I was frustrated in looking for someone who had the imagination, skill and creative soul to design a home that in my mind would suit my particular property. Don came to the rescue when 6 others could not. He is talented ,imaginative and well connected with the materials he works with.My wife and I ended up with a home that fit our purposes beautifully. To top it off he won a Georgie Gold award for it. He spent endless hours on the design and also did the color decorating for the exterior and interior. We found him a delight to work with both in creating the design and with the overseeing of the construction. A very creative and pleasing result.

Don is one of the very best architects I have had the honour to work with. I concur with the other reviews in that his architectural services are highly professional and creative, and yes you are in really good hands with Don. Since the first project I worked with him in 2007, this was one of the first traits I realized in him, that he really cares about the project and about the owner and other design team members. This is hard to find combination in our business and for this reason I have work with Don subsequently in several other projects over the years. Don, it's been an absolute pleasure working with you so far and I look forward to more projects in the future!

I've had the pleasure of working with Don Stuart Architect on some great projects over the years. Don was always full of creative ideas and was easy to work with. I would welcome the opportunity of working with Don again if the opportunity presents itself.

Don Stuart and his architectural services team were highly professional, organized, creative with excellent design skills. Don turned our bland, poorly planned out house into a well constructed, stunning family home. Our neighbours said it was like living next to a beautiful piece of artwork.
