We worked with Dovetail on a kitchen remodel for our mid-century modern home. We had the BEST experience we could have ever expected with a contractor and designer. Chris was very communicative and understanding of the fact that we were living in the home he was working on. Our final project is gorgeous and it is all because of the work Dovetail did. We couldn't have designed it nearly as beautifully as it turned out and every little detail was well-thought-out. We would recommend Dovetail over and over again.

Our design, construction & follow up went smoothly thanks to Chris. He always answered questions and calls promptly. His ideas helped us design a beautiful, functional kitchen/dining area. The professionals that worked on our remodel were skilled, friendly, prompt & cleaned up after done for the day. This included plumbers, electricians, painters, cabinet installers and Chis himself! We are thrilled with the final product that is our kitchen/dining room & plan to have Chris help us with remodeling our 2 bathrooms.

We recently had Dovetail Kitchen Designs complete a full kitchen renovation. I can’t tell you how happy we are. Chris takes great pride in what he offers. From concept into design, our finished space was so easy with his process. We met several times to plan what we wanted. Chris was great to work with given we needed a lot of help with design. When the work began (amid a COVID pandemic no less) the amount of care for our home, lifestyle, and craftsmanship was evident from day one. We are now using our completed kitchen and every day I am amazed at the detail and thought that went into planning this space. My wife and I had some vague ideas of what we wanted in a shared home office. Chris Hensel listened to us and prepared a design which,not only matched our ideas, but included some great suggestions. The plan he presented was well thought-out. We were thrilled with the finished product. Now each of us have our own work space in a beautiful office that is efficient and comfortable. Dovetail Design provided an excellent plan, the finest materials, high quality craftsmanship, and electrical, computer and communications expertise. Dovetail Kitchen Designs created an amazing, updated, functional kitchen from my outdated 1950s kitchen. Chris's design included little extras and tips we would not have considered without him. He was always professional. He was knowledgeable and worked with us on our timeline. He checked in daily, updated us on the work and satisifed our every request. Our 32-year-old kitchen was long overdue for an update, and we also wanted to expand it by including an adjoining living room space that was no longer needed. We met with Chris of Dovetail Kitchen Designs to conceptualize a new large kitchen, dining area and entrance which included structural change, cabinetry, countertops, flooring, lighting, and appliances etc. He listened attentively to our needs and desires for this huge project to conform this space to fit our home's character and our lifestyle. Chris presented us with a very detailed design that we absolutely loved! We especially appreciated his expertise in cabinetry design. Our cabinets are simply gorgeous and we are amazed with all of the additional cabinet space he was able to give us. Chris was always attentive to our questions and concerns, provided us with excellent, top-notch contractors and was very reassuring of choices that we made would work out well and complement each other. We are extremely happy with our new beautiful kitchen and will be calling on Chris in the future to help us with further updates.

I finally have my dream kitchen due to the expertise of Chris at Dovetail. Chris provided wonderful ideas on our main floor remodel focusing primarily on the kitchen. He went through a comprehensive interview/discovery process to come up with a couple incredible designs. After selecting our preference, he handled all the details and narrowed down the materials from hardware, lighting, flooring, countertops to paint colors which made our selection process easy. Since we were on the same page and trusted Chris, he saved us many hours of time by doing all the legwork. He was amazing keeping us on track and within budget. You hear and read about the negative experiences people have with remodeling but ours was virtually perfect and it's because of Chris. He went above the call of duty by personally delivering materials to our home, researching appliance recommendations, providing suggestions on our kitchen chairs and checking on the progress/details with our contractor. Even though it's nice to have a functioning kitchen again, our experience went so well I would do it again.
