Durham Fence Company

I have to say that this company was difficult to work with. I had them come and give me an estimate for my entire yard. They sent me an estimate that was substantially cheaper than the others I had gotten so I went with them. When they arrived to install the fence it was only one quarter of the yard. When I looked at the estimate it was obvious that they had only priced out that portion of the yard, which is why they were cheaper. (I take the blame for not reading the linear footage on the estimate more closely). When I discussed the issue and had them price out the remaining part of the yard they ended up being about the same if not a little more expensive than the others. When they installed the fence they installed the incorrect caps on each of the pickets. When I noticed this I was told that I could pay to have the correct ones ordered. I was not interested in doing this and didn't pursue it further, even though it was their mistake. The worst part about this company though is the quality of the workmanship. The fence was installed a little over three and a half years ago and many of the vinyl posts have heaved severely and now the fence sections don't line up horizontally and look terrible. I've called 4 times in the past year and asked them to come and look at it but they never show. Installing a fence is a big investment. Save yourselves the headaches and go for a better quality installer.

Durham Fence company fenced in my backyard for my dogs last spring. They came out the same day that I called to provide an estimate and were able to schedule the job for a short time afterwards. They ran into a lot of rock and ledge in our yard which made the job much more difficult than anticipated and they did not go over their initial estimate. They were on time, clean, thorough and I would recommend them to everyone. They were easy to deal with and I would use them again in a heartbeat.
