Elizabeth Cross-Beard

For years, we had grappled with how to increase the flow and functionality of our living and work spaces (2 freelancers working from home). We toyed with additions, garden studios, basement redos, and renovations. I had 20 different layouts of a "new" living room on graph paper, each not quite right. Elizabeth listened, addressed out outright needs, and came up with solutions that were simple but innovative. We went back and forth (she with grace and patience) a few times, and landed on a final LR design that gave us everything we wanted -- better media space, office storage, cohesion and hominess where there had been disjointedness and dispersion. She found and oversaw diligent and affordable contractors. We came in under my budget! Before we embarked, my husband could never understand why I wanted to invest in this work. Now that it's done (a year later now), he has often said that he was completely wrong and this was one of the smartest things we've ever done. I agree. Our life is less cluttered, more beautiful, and more comfortable. The new closet/wall and built-in cabinets look like they were meant to be and have been here forever. We credit Elizabeth.

Elizabeth has and is currently working on two commercial and one residential projects for me. She is not only professional and extremely detailed but she is also an absolute pleasure to work with. Her vision and creativity have added a level of uniqueness to each of the projects that I could not have done without. She is highly recommend and I will continue to utilize her on all future projects.

I can't say enough good things about Elizabeth; she is truly a pleasure to work with. From my first meeting with her, I felt she really listened and understood what my design style was and what I was looking to do in the house. She is always very well organized, responsive, and has true pride in her work. She always presents several options and always considers the budget and never pushes more expensive choices. I am constantly getting compliments about the beautiful decor of my home when people come to visit, and it is all thanks to Elizabeth!

My wife and I purchased a home this year and really wanted to make it our own. Liz worked with the contractor on paint color, flooring options, tile, millwork, ect. The project took about a month and Liz was there ever step of the way. After the construction we used Liz for furniture design and ideas. We are very happy with all aspects of her service and would recommend her!

Elizabeth has been invaluable in transforming our house. After being a family home for the last 20 years, we were overwhelmed with where to start, when we bought my moms house 2 years ago.There was leftover furniture, interesting paint choices, odd spaces, plus we were attempting to add an in-law suite addition to the house. She has patiently advised and helped us transform it into our dream home. It's been such a pleasure to work with her as we slowly tackle projects room by room.

Elizabeth is such a gem! After looking at online portfolios and making phone calls for weeks I finally discovered Elizabeth. Many designers were not willing to work with my small project, however, she was more than ready for the challenge and my budget. Her sense of style is impeccable and she was able to capture my personality to a tee. She was also able to work within the confines of rental apartment rules and quirks of a 100yo building. She was able to find items that could transition to the next place I land and plug-in fixtures that could be easily removed. Elizabeth was also as excited as I was when I discovered local DC artist Rebecca Kallem who painted the fantastic family portrait in my living room! After weeks on the road I cannot wait to come back to my little rental apartment that Elizabeth helped to make a cozy home.

Elizabeth is fantastic! My husband and I used her for the interior furniture design of our whole house (a new build) and the end result couldn't be more perfect. We worked with Elizabeth remotely as we live in Ohio and her office is in Baltimore. The process was surprisingly painless- lots of samples and binders were sent back and forth. We truly felt Elizabeth listened to all our input and made appropriate changes. We put complete trust in Elizabeth and were definitely not disappointed. She did an amazing job blending my husband's comtemporary tastes to my more traditional style. We have gotten numerous compliments on the interior design of our home from not only friends and family but other prefessionals in the industry. Elizabeth is hard working, timely and has an extreme attention to detail. She met every deadline and the install went flawlessly. Elizabeth is very professional and warm and we highly recommend her for your next project.

We have utilized Elizabeth CbMarsh from Jenkins Baer Associates on several occasions and have been so pleased! She is incredibly easy to work with and listens carefully to what we want. She always comes up with such interesting and unique ideas and the finished product is outstanding. Elizabeth was wonderful to work with. I happened upon her on a whim, knowing I needed some help with creating storage space and bringing my loft-style condo together. She was amazing. Not only does my place look absolutely fabulous, but the whole process, from start to finish was a breeze, despite me living in DC and she being located in Baltimore. Elizabeth was so accommodating, and worked with my crazy schedule to get everything completed. She has impeccable taste and is able to use that to work with your style and preferences. She helped me entirely re-do 2 bathrooms, a den, and paint, and added 6 different spaces for storage in my condo - from floor to the 10 foot ceilings. I would HIGHLY recommend her for a large-scale project, to even the smallest of rooms. You won't be disappointed!
