Emmerson & Fifteenth

Lizzie from Emmerson and Fifteenth was fantastic when helping us plan out furnishings and decor when we moved into our new home. She helped us with room layouts, choosing paint colours, moodboards, finding and ordering everything, shopping, and the trade discounts she is able to get pretty much covered her fee, so it worked out brilliantly for all. She has fantastic ideas and a great eye but also takes your personal style and preferences into account. I would not hesitate to reccomend her.

Lizzie listen carefully to the brief and on the two large projects she managed for us so far the benefits of using a designer shone through with the finished work looking great, with the effect Lizzie promised. She was able to adapt the design in the face of changing circumstances and provided timely costed and thoughtful updates as the work progressed

Lizzie is an extremely talented designer. I enlisted Lizzie with a very challenging renovation project which included a total structural revamp of the entire maisonette. She was there from the outset advising me on fantastic ideas and creating the most spectacular mood boards which were even more magical in real life! Her attention to detail is impeccable as is her patience:). She listens to what the end client wants and works with you to create pure magic. Lizzie designed 3 bathrooms, a new office / bedroom , kitchen, pantry, hallway and living room. I would highly recommend Lizzie as an interior designer and will have her back again sometime in the future without a doubt!

Outstanding service and unbelievable value for money! The options and colour schemes Lizzie came up with would not have been my first thoughts at all, but I was completed sold on them…and considering I have a design background myself I was really surprised…my house looks amazing and I couldn’t be happier. The speed and professionalism completely exceed my expectations, and with the outcome I now have I am still surprised at the value for money… Anyone looking at the types of services Lizzie offers, or is unsure of quite what to do with the spaces they have, I honestly couldn’t recommend her highly enough! I got in touch with Lizzie to see if she might be able to design a fun bedroom for my 7 year old son. She came up with a great concept (camouflage/army) and then sourced all the products and saw it through to implementation. She checked in with me at every stage that I was happy with her ideas and the budget. I found her very easy to work with and strong in her communications. The overall look of the room is amazing and she also thought of functional elements as well (e.g. a bedside shelf for water and a book). Although this was a one off room, I would highly recommend Lizzie for bigger projects and I hope to work with Lizzie again soon on other rooms in our house.

Lizzie helped stage our home for selling. We had had 3 or 4 viewings a week for a month but no offers. Lizzie stepped in and made a few adjustments and advised on certain areas. Within a week we had an offer of full asking price. Unfortunately A couple of months later, the lower end of the chain fell apart, our house went back on the market and within a week we received another offer of full asking price. I absolutely put this success down to Lizzie’s expert advice and I cannot thank or recommend her enough.

Lizzie from Emerson and Fifteenth was awesome. We wanted some inspiration and design ideas for our boys bedroom (ages 8&7). Lizzie very quickly produced some mood boards so we were able to say our preferences style wise. She then came and saw the room, had a chat, was thoroughly lovely and then drew up some plans and ideas. We didn't need to change a thing, she understood what we were after perfectly and kept within our budget, suggesting some areas where we may want to spend a little more and some areas where we could get away with spending less. I couldn't fault anything about the process or the result. Just to illustrate how perfectly she got our 'style' some of the furniture she suggested we buy were pieces we already had in other rooms of our house! I will be contacting Lizzie again when we tackle our lounge.

I hired Lizzie to help me with my living room, a room that up until now, I rarely used. I knew roughly what I would like but had no idea how to create it. Previously, I had only ever bought furniture that was on offer, or given to us, so nothing was ever harmonious or bought to fit. While I was prepared to spend some money on the project, I wasn't in a position to go all out and Lizzie was sympathetic with this and kept her suggestions to suit my budget. There were a pair of wall sconces I really liked but were just too much money on one feature, and so she found a similar pair that were much cheaper. Lizzie seemed to intuitively know what I liked, even when I didn't know myself. I would never have dreamt of having a gallery wall, and here I am now looking with joy at one every day. What used to be a source of embarrassment is now a source of pride, I'm pleased to invite people around and entertain them. I am never short of comments about how beautiful the room is. What's more is that Lizzie has managed to create a space that is beautiful and practical. I have two small children and a dog, this was fundamental in the design. It had to be safe. I couldn't recommend Lizzie enough, she is friendly yet incredibly professional. I felt totally at ease with her right from the beginning and I will hire her again when it comes to revamping my bedroom. Thank you, Lizzie.

I asked Lizzie to give me some help with a couple of rooms in my new home, but specified that she incorporated some furniture I already owned into the design of the living room. It was a rather challenging Art Deco meets the Orient brief but Lizzie took time to make sure that not only did she understand what I was after, but quite cleverly made sure I understood too. Lots of suggestions, comparisons, limitations and colourways were talked about and I even complicated matters by buying an extra side table while she was preparing the design board. Taking it all in her stride and much quicker than I expected, she came back with a perfect design board which was spot-on from the start. She even included a couple of enhancing suggestions were I to change my mind about the pieces I already owned. When I told her I might move a key sofa into a bedroom for the Winter she happily suggested ways to rearrange things to keep the 'vibe'. Moving on to a second room, I had the confidence to give her free-reign and on her suggestion, even replaced a dining table & chairs I had recently bought. She was absolutely right and the proof is that since employing her services, guests have made many positive comments about both rooms out of the blue and I now spend more time in my dining room than before as it is so harmonious. I like to think I have an eye for detail and can be quite demanding but Lizzie matched that and incorporated a number of things I was insistent on and added some tiny areas of detail which made such a difference. I will employ Emmerson & Fifteenth again in the late Summer when I restlyle a couple of tired bedrooms and will do so with absolute confidence she will grasp my ideas, suggest her own and create a beautiful and functional result. Of particular note was her personability and thoroughly professional approach. Rather unusually for a bespoke company or consultant, I felt I was her most important client, as I'm sure her other clients at that time did too. A lovely, engaging and stylish experience with a light-hearted but professional relationship, I have no hesitation in recommending Lizzie & Emmerson & Fifteenth and will enthusiastically engage her again.
