We did an extensive renovation with Encore Design Build and they did not disappoint. They never shied away from any issues, and everything was handled with great professionalism. I had a wonderful experience with Mont and his son Monty of Encore Company LLC. They replaced my bathroom vanity, countertop, hardware and large mirror. Their estimate was very detailed and they provided me with a daily schedule, which they kept. They listened carefully to my requirements and vision and provided excellent suggestions for products. I really appreciated their meeting me at both the cabinet maker and the quartz supplier to view and provide advice on the quartz selection and cabinet design options. They were always on time, were careful to abide by my building's rules, were meticulous and neat, and were two of the nicest people I have met. I was fortunate to have Mont as the project manager on the first phase of the remodel of my childhood home. Living in a different state and trusting someone to oversee a remodel is daunting to say the least, however, Mont was incredible! Honestly without him the project never would have been completed! He navigated supply issues due to the pandemic with great communication and kept me updated daily on the project. Not only was he easy to get in touch with - answering my texts within minutes of receiving them - he was also courteous and extremely helpful with making decisions along the way. He was patient with my change orders and never seemed frustrated when I added “just one more thing” - we love that fireplace by the way! Our new sunroom and future kitchen space take my breath away! I am so excited to work with him again on the next phase of my remodel!

I am writing this unqualified recommendation on behalf of Mont Hartman, with whom my wife and I have worked closely over the past year on what became a major residential renovation project in Sarasota, FL. Mont Hartman assumed the role of Project Manager soon after we designed and contracted for what was then planned to be a limited condominium remodel. Mont brought himself “up to speed” quickly and then reached out to us to meet and refine our goals and the scope of our project. Throughout our renovation Mont was responsive, respectful and creative. His vision, team leadership, broad range of knowledge in all areas of our project (design, permitting, electrical, plumbing, cabinetry, counters, tile, flooring, painting, electronics, etc.) and problem-solving skills were the critical factors that have led to a wonderful outcome with which we are very pleased. As is often the case, our project changed and expanded as we proceeded. Mont handled these modifications smoothly and efficiently and with good humor. Mont also needed to deal with some unusual additional challenges. The project was undertaken in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic with resultant difficulties in coordination and supervision of subcontractors, supply chain disruptions and safety concerns. In addition, the bulk of this renovation was undertaken remotely, since our primary residence during this project was in NYC. Nevertheless, Mont was able to keep us well-informed and involved on all aspects of the project with his regular texts, detailed emails, pictures and FaceTime calls. We feel fortunate to have worked with Mont and his team. Their work ethic, experience, integrity, skills, maturity and advocacy are exceptional.
