Not only does he have a tremendous technical knowledge of cabinetry and woodworking, but his early training in the graphic arts shows itself in his exquisite aesthetic sense of detail. We’ve just completed installation on the second project Bob designed for us this past year, and we could not be happier. Bob brings a unique and much desired combination of being a creative designer who really listens to his client and an experienced craftsman who knows how to engineer the final product for installation. We initially brought him in to design a stair “tower” leading from our basement to the second floor. As soon as we started working with him we knew he was also the right person to design the built-in bookshelves, fireplace mantel, and television cabinetry in our living room. Bob provided service through all phases of each project; design, detailed material lists, shop drawings, contractor selection, and project management . He is an experienced and creative designer who also has many years of hands on woodworking and cabinet manufacturing. We will be asking Bob to work with us again in the future and would highly recommend his services to anyone.

My farm home was the SECOND project that Bob Erdmann worked on. The first was an enormous renovation of an 80 year old mansion in Milwaukee. Bob's company did all the cabinetry for the mansion, matching blueprints and woods perfectly to restore the mansion to its historic roots. All of the interior cabinetry of my farm home, from baseboards to cupboards, too 8 foot interior doors, to hand-hewn beams, to bars, to wooden ceilings---all completed on time, on budget, and exactly as expected from this outstanding artist. I have worked with Robert Erdmann for nearly 20 years on a number of projects. The largest project we worked on together was a high rise condo buildout in 2009 (photos of this project are shown in his Houzz portfolio). Bob designed the entire project, from millwork profiles to door styles and all the cabinetry and closets. Everything was custom built to meet the expectation of his design elements. In 1994, he designed the millwork package for my country home and also designed a bed frame and night stands that was custom built.We recently worked together on a kitchen remodel and soon will be collaborating on a dining room remodel. Bob's expertise is in elements using wood, but his knowledge of the global design process is what makes working with him a true joy. He has impeccable attention to detail and every one of those details has a role to play in the ultimate design.

Robert J Erdmann designed my remodeled kitchen in our Tri-level home. His attention to detail and ability to read what his clients want and need is exceptional. He designed a beautiful contemporary kitchen for us, and was extremely mythodical about where drawers and cabinets went in relation to how we use our kitchen. Things we didn't even think of at the time. He listened to what we liked, and designed it exactly the way we wanted it to be. Bob goes over and beyond his job, in that he really cares about how everything turns out. That includes stops at the remodel site, because he was in the neighborhood and just wanted to see how things are going....and then ends up spending an hour measuring exactly where the pulls should be placed on the cabinets/drawers, so the carpenter gets it perfect!! There is a reason for everything that Bob puts on paper, and he is great at explaining each detail along the way. I would recommend Robert J Erdmann to everyone!!! Photo's to come soon.
