After trying to hire several different contractors who were unreliable, we found Ned & Erica from Haven Design. Not only was Ned professional and prompt he understood our vision for what we wanted for our fireplace installation. Ned’s work is meticulous and clean and I would highly recommend their services!

We hired Ned and Erica in April of 2018 to remodel our Kitchen, Family room and laundry room /pantry. It was completed in October 2018. From start to finish, It was a pleasure to work with both Ned and Erica. Our project was a long distance project. We live 4 hours away but that was never a problem to connect with them .Some of our meetings were skype, some were , join me site, some phone conversations. I mostly met with Erica. What can I say about Erica. She is so wonderful she listens ,she's patient ,She's soooo talented. As she listens to my wants for renovations she waits and suggests. I had a general idea of what i wanted but she knows web sights to go to so my search began.- So many choices ,some choices got confusing so Erica gently steered me in the right direction and kept me on track. She knows her stuff. There was a wall were I wanted my TV on. It was on a wall with a pocket door. So Erica said all we need to do is to bump out the wall so all the wires would be hidden.It worked our beautifully. Perfectly designed. Thats just one of many situations that Erica and Ned solved for me. If you choose to hire them you will not be disappointed. You will LOVE working with them and their work is topnotch. Oh I have to say also their workers are also topnotch. They choose only the Best contractors to be in your home. 5 star in my book....

We hired Erica and Ned at Haven Design+Build to remodel our kitchen, dining, living area. We are extremely pleased not only with the outcome but the process. Eric and Ned are wonderful to work with. They are quick to respond to questions and concerns. Erica's intuition and listening skills are spot on; she hears the details and develops a full scope representation of everything she hears. The crew, Andrew, Devon and Mikey, and the subcontractors all took care when they were in the house and did a professional job of everything. It is clear that Erica and Ned want to be sure their customer is happy and the quality of their work is top notch. There is not a day that goes by I do not look at my new space and think how lucky I am to have such a beautiful and functional kitchen with a more open floor plan.

Wow! I used to hate this house; now I hate to leave it. You can't go wrong with Haven. Our project involved building a laundry room addition, remodeling an attached bath and remodeling the kitchen. The project was done long distance as I live in Illinois and the house is in Vermont. The work was on time, on budget and professional. Erica handles the design and finance; Ned the construction. They were both easy and considerate to work with. I never felt that this project took a backseat to any of their others or that I was bothering them or being too demanding or stupid. Erica's design ideas are wonderful, but when they were different from mine, there was no pressure to go with hers. Ned is an all around construction expert and the tradespeople he uses are pros. They responded almost immediately to all my contacts and kept me apprised every step of the way. I always knew what was going on, even from a distance of a thousand miles. Nothing was done without my knowledge and approval in advance, even when the unexpected occurred. Truly, very little change occurred, because of their excellent preplanning work. Our house is so beautiful and useful now. I can't thank Haven enough.

We just spent our third holiday season in the house that you helped us renovate. I wanted to write and thank you again for all of your help, advice, and attention to detail. The space continues to be the warm and open place where all of our family love to gather. All of the construction is holding up beautifully. We are very grateful. Thank you!

Haven recently finished our family bathroom remodel. After interviewing several architects and contractors, Erica and Ned were so clearly the right fit for our style and needs. Embarking on a renovation project is intimidating and expensive, and they helped ensure we considered every detail along the way for the best outcome. We found their partnership of design and building particularly convenient. Erica was communicative and excited to assist in the design process, and having not ever even picked out tile before, we were tremendously thankful for her expertise. Ned's experience and knowledge was fantastic. He helped align our design ideas in to what was feasible within our budget. Furthermore, their staff and contracted folks were top notch. We had people in our home every day for six weeks, and were deeply appreciative for the professionalism and attention to detail. We had a toddler and newborn at home during construction, and they left no trail behind at the end of each day. Not only were they a pleasure to work with, but our bathroom came out beautifully. We're embarking on a mudroom addition with them next!

Erica and Ned were really a complete pleasure to work with. Erica's eye for design is exceptional, yet she has a completely open and creative mind that lets you make things your own. Ned and his team were so respectful and responsive. They worked with efficiency and with great quality. We lived in the home through the whole renovation and the team set us up with a mini working kitchen while ours was demolished. If materials showed up damaged or not quite perfect they were the first to notice and take care of it. We really felt in good hands throughout the whole process. We remodeled the kitchen and knocked down 3 walls to open up the living area. It is the most incredible space now, beyond our expectations. Haven Design is a true team of professionals and we highly recommend them for any home renovation!!

From the very first conversation I had with Erica to the last meeting we had as the project finished, Haven was exceedingly thorough and attentive throughout. My husband and I have known Erica and Ned of Haven Design+Build for many years. We have not only seen their finished projects, but have had the luxury of spending time in some of them because we are acquainted with the owners. It is in this way that we have been thoroughly impressed by Erica's design sense, Ned's skilled craftsmanship and the attention to detail they share. So, when my husband and I recently purchased a waterfront property and embarked on the design of our house, we felt that Erica, given her superb sense of aesthetic, was the designer who could develop our concept with the results we wanted. Erica and Ned came to our building site to factor in the view, available lighting and other variables that were crucial to the emergent design. Erica proposed several ideas for our house design and we worked towards honing our chosen plan. Erica developed our plan on 3-D software. allowing us to consider spatial and lighting features and, very importantly because we do not live nearby, to collaborate and revise the design plan through online work sessions. Erica brought to our project not only her creative sense of the interplay of space and light and materials, but also her tireless work ethic. She has always responded quickly to every question and idea we have had and has made time to schedule time with us to implement them. Working with Erica has been an incredibly positive and inspirational experience and we feel fortunate to have had this experience with her.

We hired Erica and Ned to do a kitchen renovation which entailed replacing all of the wood flooring on our first floor, completely gutting and redesigning the kitchen and taking down a wall between the kitchen and dining room to make the two rooms one. Erica did a wonderful job walking us through the process. She was so patient in helping us come up with a final design, creating many 3D renderings for us to review with her until we found the one that suited us best. She took a lot of care to make sure the design, plus the cabinets, appliances, lighting etc. suited our lifestyle and was aesthetically pleasing and interesting and the end result of that is a kitchen that is not only beautiful but wonderfully functional and easy to navigate. Erica and I went together to pick out appliances, stone for the countertops, flooring and more and she was always forthcoming with her opinion but also always wanted to hear both my husband and my thoughts. It felt like a very collaborative process. They also worked around our schedule, setting up meetings at times that were convenient for us. When the work began, Ned ensured that things ran smoothly. The crew doing the work was professional, friendly and kept things tidy. The work was done with care and attention to detail and completed in the time frame that had been mapped out. We would without a doubt work with Ned and Erica again on another home renovation project big or small.
