Tammy is wonderful, flexible and creative designer. I purchased my home in Denver in June, however, we weren’t scheduled to move from Virginia until late July. While the house was a beautiful 1920’s bungalow, the interior needed a lot of changes to make it our home. I tasked Tammy with the near impossible, to have the house ready by the time we moved in late July. Not only was timing a challenge, I added the challenge of working virtually with me during this timeframe.
Tammy more than exceeded my expectations. She quickly put together incredible design boards for our rooms (living room, dining room, family room, kitchen, guest bathroom and playroom) that were easy to review. She was able to iterate quickly with us for changes and suggestions, responding to our feedback as she got a sense our style and needs. For our family of four (including teenager and pre-teen), I was looking for fun, colorful, comfortable and durable.
In designing our rooms (plus paint and light fixtures for entire house), Tammy really listened to what I wanted, but was also comfortable in suggesting alternatives if she thought they would be a better choice. And of course, they always were. She was great at helping me understand and prioritize where to spend our design budget to meet our objectives. She was also really open to combining our existing pieces into the design where it made sense.
Since we were out-of-state, Tammy not only sourced services (the painter, tile, electrician), but also oversaw their work providing me with piece of mind. Based on her reputation and relationships she was able to secure high quality tradesman who could also work within our aggressive timeframe. When we moved in we had fresh paint, new bathroom floors, new light fixtures and good portion of the furniture.
Once we arrived, I had the opportunity to work with Tammy in person. She was indispensable in helping me place items (old and new) to give the house a warm and lived in feeling right away. She also spent time finding the right accessories to give our house a finished look. She was has an incredible sense of color, integrating multiple colors and styles that seamlessly integrate throughout the house.
Overall, it was incredible experience working with Tammy. We have been in our house for less than 2 months and it is everything we wanted – warm, colorful, fun and relaxed. We loved our house in Virginia (that we had recently remodeled), but after Tammy’s work the entire family agreed that this house is even better! She is super talented and a pleasure with which to work. I would highly recommend Tammy. She is the best.
