Excel Door Company. I contracted with Fine Home Building because of their proven track record of renovating older homes - my home is 114 years old. FHB did an outstanding job, executing a full renovation including new additions to the house to accommodate a redesigned and enlarged kitchen, new master bath, office and laundry room as well an s a new screen porch. An added benefit FHB, they also own the “Excel Door Company.” External and interior doors (except for two original antique doors which they refurbished) were handcrafted custom made for my renovation. As seen from the attached pictures, the doors are mahogany, impact resistant and all are a work of art. The entire backside of the kitchen opens to the screen porch through magnificent bi-fold mahogany doors. While open, the doors allow the screen porch to become an integral portion of the house. What’s amazing is they are heavy-duty hurricane/impact rated doors that can be pushed opened with a single finger. They glide effortlessly. All doors are completely weather proof and energy efficient. The excellent craftsmanship on all doors offered by Excel Door Company provided the required ambiance for our 114 year old home while providing meeting all code requirements for the hurricane prone Gulf Coast area. Excel has been an integral part of the team of professionals that my wife and I hired to build Rosewood. Excel's design talent, production methods, capabilities and quality standards brought us exterior doors that are as stunningly beautiful as they are functional and easy to operate. For instance, a 6-panel, 24 light folding door system that provides a 15' x 9' opening from living room to screened back porch and is so simple to open and close a child can do it. Excel worked with our architect, builder and designer to produce doors inside and out that have right look and give us Fortified strength and sucurity. Excel installed our doors to perfection. All hang and fit as needed and can be easily adjusted as the house lives within its seasonal tolerances. We could not have bought these doors anywhere else.
