Exquisite Designs has been involved in every design decision in my home for over 25 years. From choosing paint colors to ordering the perfect furniture for every room, Paulanne has been there every step of the way. When the furniture was delivered, she was in contact with the trucking company to ensure the delivery and installation went smoothly and efficiently. She has transformed every room in my home. She procured the most amazing white leather king size bed for my master bedroom, which I absolutely love. She redesigned my entire living room, including a contemporary rug that plays off a dramatic accent wall, a giant leather sectional with reclining seats, stunningly gorgeous lamps that make a sensational impact, which all come together to make the room comfortable and elegant. Not only is Paulanne Gregson an incredibly talented designer, she has also put together the most professional team of contractors that I have ever even heard of. I had an entire full bath gutted and renovated. She was always checking in to make sure that everything was perfect, but nothing ever had to be fixed or changed. That is how amazing these guys were! I had put this project off for a long time, expecting it to be a huge headache. It was exactly the opposite, and worth every penny. That bathroom makes me so happy, and everyone who has seen it has gasped at the beautiful transformation. I am already planning my next project for Exquisite Designs!!

We have used Paulanne at Exquisite Designs for two large-scale remodels in our home during the last five years. Initially we hired her for a complete kitchen remodel that included replacing all flooring on the first floor of the home and selecting paint colors for other rooms in addition to the kitchen area. Paulanne is an amazing resource. She was beyond attentive to any and all needs and concerns regarding the remodel. Every choice she made turned out to be wonderful. She kept in constant contact with the contractor to ensure that the remodel was completed in an efficient manner. Her help with cabinet, granite, flooring etc selection was invaluable. Last year we hired Paulanne for another remodel to a master bathroom, the creation of a new guest room, new blinds throughout the home, new carpet, new windows, and a custom walk-in closet among other things. Once again I leaned on her heavily and trusted her with the decisions I could not make – whether it was tile or paint or placement of structures. She managed several different contractors for us and her oversight could not have been better. I have recommended Paulanne to friends over the years – one of which has now hired her for the second time too – and will continue to do so. We cannot be happier with the end results of both of our major remodels.

Paulanne is a gift. Ideas, budget, no budget, contacts, information, she has and does it all. Whatever you want, she can make it happen. She is an incredible professional and just that good a person. The professional side includes a matchless sense of design, an unbelievable eye, limitless knowledge of products and companies, an ability to see your vision and make it a reality. She will work with what you have, complementing it with just the right additions or start from scratch. All this and she is communicative - always open to your ideas and there for your questions. She is prompt and efficient. I have worked with other designers and they did not seem to have her creativity, work ethic or appreciation for individual preference. I'm convinced Paulanne can work within any style and budget. She is everything you want in a professional. On the personal side, she is warm, caring, honest and loyal - and this comes through in everything she does. Paulanne is a huge talent. She is and has a real gift.

Paulanne was absolutely incredible to work with! After buying our new home, my wife and I needed someone to guide us through the interior design process; from furniture and color selection, to painting, fabrics, and some minor remodeling. We have worked with Paulanne for 11 years on projects including our Home Kitchen and MBath remodel, Powder Room remodel, paint selections, rental property update and room design, paint,lighting, countertops and furniture for a 2800sqft out of state beach house. Paulanne is creative, smart, effective and swift in her designs and taking action to getting things done. Paulanne listened to our wants and needs. With a very smart and kind way of guiding the design processes, makes one feel heard and respected. She is very gracious in working around the furniture that we had (which is not great), however it all works beautifully for now. Paulanne rescued me in early December of 2017 from a very stressful decorating moment and came in with her smarts and within 45 min had paint colors chosen, our design scheme enriched. Wall paper ordered, lighting for 2 areas ordered. Within 3 weeks all that she had set out to do was done and dusted. Lighting was up, house painted, wall paper up and my existing furniture rearranged to a more cohesive layout. Paulanne's rates were very cost effective. She has this amazing way that leaves one feeling you have known her all your life. Rome was not built in a day, I have not won the lottery ....... yet ...... however, I am still using her professional and amazing eye as I write this. Paulanne was able to get better prices and has a large repertoire of beautiful suppliers to choose from.

If there was an option for 10 stars we would rate Paulanne a 10! She worked with us on the construction of our new home as a interior designer, advisor, project manager, and friend. She didn't nickel and dime us and every penny we paid her was worth it! The only downside to completing construction and design of our beautiful new home is that we don't get to work with Paulanne any more! She's just amazing, responsive, helpful, easy to work with, and she brought a great attitude and support every time we talked, texted, and met with her!!

Paulanne helped us relocate from a different state to our new home. She is really wonderful to work with. She has a great ideas, is very efficient and very professional. Paulanne not only helped us furnish our new home quickly but helped us with the actual move. She is very detail oriented and does not miss a thing. Paulanne worked within our budget and worked very quickly. She helped us with paint colors, furniture for the entire house, rugs and art pieces. We really liked Paulanne's choice of paint colors, she really transformed the space in a way that gives our house a nice color scheme. She had great suggestions for basement lighting and window dressings, was very available when we were getting started, and is very pleasant to work with.

After 12 yrs of raising 3 kids, a dog and hosting many many holidays and other parties with 20-30 people, my living room was shot. Exquisite Designs (Paulanne) was recommended by a friend who knows my taste but also knew that I needed help...a lot. I am a single Dad and while I know what I like, I have no idea how to pull it all together. While this was, what I would consider, a small project, Paulanne treated it as if it were her own home. She was very easy to work with and knows her stuff. She gently persuaded me from my comfort zone regarding wall colors and presented furniture ideas and placements that I never would have seen on my own. Her first visit was spent talking, measuring, taking it in and listening about my families lifestyle. When she came back a second time, she came prepared with options that were part of her vision for the room. In my opinion, the best of her talents, aside from a great eye and experience, was that the furniture she picked was spot on my taste...there really weren't any outlandish pieces that were off the mark. The placements and pieces all supported the lifestyle we discussed and she somehow created different spaces within one space that all works together. This saved a lot of time and frustration for me. I like to make solid decisions without looking through a ton of irrelevant stuff. Id rather see some great options of pieces that I love right away rather than having to go through trial and error to communicate my taste...and she somehow delivered on that. Paulanne and I worked in several short spurts via email, texts and on the phone as she hunted what seemed like thousands of acres of sources and she found what I was looking for. The end of the story (at least for this room) is...we came in just under budget in a short amount of time with a room that gets huge compliments, the biggest being that my 10 yr old daughter is not embarrassed anymore to have her friends sit and play in the living room. I'm writing this sitting on a new comfy leather chair. Im so comfortable in this room, listening to music with a glass of wine, admiring the colors and awesome paint job my painter (me) did and thinking about how the heck im going to afford doing the rest of the house with 3 kids going to college soon. Ill just move into this room! It is truly amazing to me what Paulanne has created in this little rectangle for the budget i gave her. I doubt its possible for her to disappoint any client and she has my full recommendation and heartfelt thanks.

As first-timers using an interior designer, we couldn't be happier with the results Paulanne and Exquisite Designs achieved for us. On an open floor plan, we tasked Paulanne to tie-in a challenging sized family room with the rest of the main floor, that also included a remodeled kitchen. She quickly proposed a great plan that met our objective. Her contract support to execute the plan were top-notch, and truly crafted in their art. We truly appreciated Paulanne's attention to detail and the high level of accountability and professionalism that she held her contractor's to. Her keen sense of color coordination and style turned a very bland room into a classy, comfortable living area. Bottom line- we were very happy with the results!

My only regret is that I cannot give Paulanne at Exquisite Designs a higher rating than 5 stars. I had never hired an interior designer before, and I was somewhat apprehensive prior to meeting with Paulanne. She had received very positive reviews on Angie's List and she responded immediately via telephone when I contacted her. I contacted another designer on Angie's List who also had positive ratings. However, she emailed me and did not follow up via telephone as Paulanne did. My gut told me that I should go with Paulanne because she made me a priority from the very beginning despite the fact that she has many other customers and much larger projects. Paulanne exceeded my expectations, which I believe are high. I can be a little picky (smile). Moreover, Paulanne explained design concepts to me, introduced me to the best stores for different items and transformed my house into a home that I love. Friends who have visited and seen her work want her contact information. She is very customer-service oriented, responds promptly to concerns/issues, takes extreme pride in her work and is committed to ensuring that the client is happy. Even though my contract has ended, when I see an item that I'm considering purchasing for my home, Paulanne doesn't mind if I send her a picture to get her feedback as she knows I truly value her opinion. You will not be disappointed in choosing Exquisite Designs and working with Paulanne. On top of delivering quality work, she has a very engaging, warm personality. She has a good intuition about her client preferences and doesn't try to push her opinions on the client. Instead, she provides alternates, suggestions, pros, cons, etc. I have learned quite a bit about decorating from her, which I very much appreciate. And I am truly looking forward to celebrating the holidays in my newly designed home by Exquisite Designs!! Thank you Paulanne for a fantastic job.

This being my first remodel and for someone like myself with little design experience and space awareness, Paulanne spent a lot of time understanding my taste and preferences and put together an absolutely gorgeous design that maximized the space available. I can't say enough good things about Paulanne and how she gave me the kitchen of my dreams! Paulanne has a deep knowledge of products and exquisite taste. Her knowledge, expertise and access to countless vendors for everything possibly needed for such a project were key; I simply would have lost my mind without her guidance! Paulanne and Linda at Exquisite Designs are wonderful! We have worked with them on several projects and are very pleased with their design advice. Remodeling or redecorating can be a daunting task and they certainly make it easier. They spend an appropriate amount of time to understand our tastes, goals and budget for each project. Based on this they make recommendations and present us with only a few options to select between. They also provide the pros and cons of each option. They amaze us with their recommendations every time!!! We have used them for many projects including an entire master Bathroom remodel, remote controlled roller shades in the master bedroom, paint color selection for several rooms in our house, water feature advise, hardware for secondary bathrooms, balcony furniture, dining room chandelier advise, rug and tile advice for entry way, kitchen knob advice, finding repair men, etc. The master bathroom was a major project we worked on with them with lots of complicated concepts to consider given the limited space. They helped us manage the entire project and communicated with our contractor exactly what needed to be done. As issues arose they were quick to help trouble shoot and solve them by interfacing between us and the contractor. Our master bathroom is gorgeous with many wonderful features like a steam shower, air bath, bidet toilet, heated floors, heated towel bars, etc. She also designed a stunning custom bench we needed outside of our tub and helped us pick a beautiful mirror to tie everything in for an amazing look. They have also given us many wonderful ideas in our house for the future. Any time we plan to redecorate or remodel we will call on Exquisite Designs.

We hired Paulanne and her team to help us convert our living room and dining room into one large room including a bar, sitting area and new dining area. This took a lot of vision and creativity and Paulanne was excellent. She brought us photos, fabrics, paint samples and floor samples and was really able to pin point exactly what we wanted. We also did tons of searching online and sent Paulanne endless emails to get her opinion. She was always very responsive and honest with us about what would work and wouldn't work in our new space. Paulanne and her team were also very good at the finishing touches - bowls, candles, and knick knacks to complete the look. We are so pleased with our new "party room" and Paulanne was a huge part of that!

I cannot recommend Exquisite Designs enough. Paulanne and Linda understood my vision, got my taste, and created my dream home. They had to start from scratch - my house was empty when purchased. They decorated my entire home and renovated a bathroom and laundry/storage room. They advised me on the selection of couches, tables, chairs, beds, dressers, fabrics, pillows, wall art, room accessories, bathroom accessories, tile, faucets, marble, paint color, and furniture placement. They found perfect selections in unlikely places and didn't stop until they were assured they got it right. I can't say enough about Paulanne and the Exquisite Designs team and the help that they provided us in renovating the family room in our house. Paulanne's best qualities are that she listens to you and what you want, provides great ideas based on her extensive experience, and during the project she will consistently be your very best advocate. She has a wealth of experts with whom she has built great relationships and each of them provided fantastic service within the budget that we discussed. As a part of the renovation we removed a wall, had hardwood, carpet and tile installed, installed a fireplace with a granite surround, put in surround sound, and installed built-in cabinets, among other items. Paulanne designed the wall with the built-in cabinets and the fireplace and, despite some design challenges, it is fantastic!! In each additional step, Paulanne would offer suggestions - for wood, for cabinetry, for granite, for carpet, for fixtures - based on her discussions with us and seeing the rest of our house - and inevitably she hit the mark with one of the suggestions. I loved that Paulanne was such a fantastic advocate for us - regularly keeping in contact with us and with the various contractors that did the work. She kept the project moving timely and on budget. When my husband and I delayed making a decision, she would even urge us along - always pleasantly and professionally - and offering help in arriving at a decision. Most importantly, having a renovation can cause stress just because people are in and out of your house. Other than that, there was no other stress because Paulanne took such good care of us. We will hire her again for our next design project and would highly recommend her to anyone.

I purchased my home nearly 8 years ago and had the pleasure of meeting Paulanne at that point. She is an expert in her field with exquisite taste and a consumate professional. When all our renovations were completed (and we basically re-did our home with her help), my husband and I were sad because we would not have day-to-day contact with Paulanne. When we did the original re-decorating of the house, she helped select paint, rugs, wall trimmings, furniture, and she helped contract companies to re-do the bathroom and kitchen. Basically the whole house! At one point I actually asked if she could help with landscape of our yard because she is so good!! I hired Exquisite Designs a little over a year ago for their interior design services. I had interviewed many interior design companies here in the Northern Virginia area but was not happy with the business practice of putting thousands of dollars down as a retainer before starting any work. At the end of the day, I selected Paulanne Gregson's Exquisite Designs company because of her very friendly business model of paying by the our for her time. Paulanne first worked with me to understand my tastes in style and materials and then came up with a plan to transform my home into a cozy living space. We started with picking colors and painting my family room and foyer and then selecting and buying furniture for my family room. We then progressed to redoing my kitchen including tile flooring, granite counter tops, sink, cooktop, under cabinet lighting and tile back splash. I liked that she was flexible in terms of allowing me to do some of the painting but also suggesting very reasonable contractors to do the work if I didn't want to, or couldn't perform the installation or work myself. She has a wonderful eye for color and making sure that everything matches. But one of her best attributes is knowing home materials (like wood, tile, types of paint, etc...) and their applications and making suggestions on their use. I'll end this by saying, it's been a very enjoyable experience in that she has been very flexible with me, allowing me to make decisions where I wanted but always being ready to step in with advice or making sure an installation contractor was doing the work correctly.
