Falken Reynolds is a Vancouver-based interior design practice. With a global perspective and a highly personal approach, we create inviting spaces shaped by the distinct lives and experiences of our clients. Clean lines, craftsmanship and considered details are our hallmarks. Our clients embrace this inquisitive approach for the personality it brings into their daily spaces. Chad Falkenberg took a Steinbeck-esque road to design. Having been introduced to it amidst his farm boy upbringing in Alberta, he vividly recalls the architect’s cardboard models of their new farm house and the stacks of fabric samples his family’s interior designer friend kept in the basement. Working and traveling in Northern Europe exposed him to the region’s more ordered architecture and design, exemplified by the simplicity of Scandinavian designers like Arne Jacobsen. In 2007, Chad returned to Vancouver and apprenticed with acclaimed designer Robert Bailey. This vast array of physical addresses and cultural experiences has made him fluent in the language of design. Kelly Reynolds admires risk takers, and he too is no stranger to charting unconventional courses. As a young boy, he remembers pondering the design of things, like how the seatbelt that always cut into his neck should be rethought. Encouraged by an acquaintance who could see his latent talent, he enrolled in Interior Design at the British Columbia Institute of Technology before co-founding a design firm. After three successful years, he launched his namesake company in 2010. Kelly is fueled by a desire to give his clients what they’ve always wanted, but didn’t know how to get.
