Fay was thorough, attentive, patient, and professional at every juncture. We must say that the cottage design that we achieved in our work with Faye was even better than we had imagined!

Faye was great through the whole process of getting my blueprints made. She was very knowledgeable and everything was done in a timely manner. We even got 3D prints made, so we were able to “tour” through our future home via an app. We have great feedback from builders on the prints. I would not hesitate to get her again and would recommend her to anyone!

I sought out Faye's expertise to design the remodelling of my cottage into a year round home. I found Faye to be very personable, and very skilled at incorporating my style sense and ideas into the planning of the remodel. She also researched certain technologies that I wanted to incorporate into the design. Working with Faye was a collaborative and enjoyable experience!

We found Faye through Houzz and contacted her about our upcoming home extension project. From initial contact right through to the completion of our renovation plans everything went smoothly. Faye is professional but personable which we really appreciated. Because of the current pandemic situation she took all precautions necessary as did we when we finally met in person. She really listened to our needs and came up with several options before we decided on what would work for our changing situation. It was a pleasure to work with Faye and we would wholeheartedly recommend her services to anyone needing work on their current home or a new construction. She made sure to consult with our contractor which ensured coordination of the upcoming construction project. Faye was instrumental with developing the construction drawings for our cottage addition and renovation. From design conception to presenting design options along our journey, Faye was the driving force that keep us on track. She was able to balance our requirements to save the existing structure while matching it with a new addition. Faye was always able to accommodate our busy work and home schedules to make time for a site visit and for many design meetings. Today we are one step closer to making our dream cottage a reality thanks to Faye’s professionalism, expertise and patience.

We are so glad that we went with Faye to do the design for our complete house renovation. Faye kept the project on schedule and organized— coordinating with us, our general contractor, and a structural engineer to ensure that everyone was on the same page and that regionally specific codes were met. Faye’s dedication was apparent throughout the process; despite working largely remotely, emails and phone calls kept the project running smoothly. This was our first large renovation project, so it was great to have someone with Faye’s experience (and patience) on the project. She provided us with insight on different ways our design priorities could be incorporated. We especially appreciated Faye’s knowledge on energy efficiency and her thoughts on how to keep a house comfortable in the ever-variable northeast climate. We hired Faye Cowie Designs in Sept -Oct of 2018 to helps us renovate our new home in Moncton, NB. Faye was a pleasure to work with. Accessible, a good listener, thorough and detail-oriented and came up with some very creative ideas. I would have no qualms about hiring her again, should the need ever arise.

My husband and I are Canadian born, international teachers living in China. We hired Faye to design a house that we'll build when we return to Canada when we retire. We were so impressed with our experience with her that we hired her again to design a double car garage with an apartment on top. This new building will be placed on our daughter's property and provide a place for us to stay during our many trips home until we retire. Faye was so easy to work with. She had us fill out questionnaires that really helped her - and us - understand exactly what we were looking for. She took the time to understand how we live our lives and how we see our future, both in our dream home and in the interim in our garage apartment. This information helped her create environments that are perfect for us. Because we were still in China, we communicated through emails with the occasional Skype interview. We thought this might make it difficult to articulate what we were looking for, but Faye has this way of really zoning in on your preferences and designing spaces that reflect who you are. We found her services to be professional, timely and cost effective. We cannot say enough about how wonderful this experience has been. We are building the garage/apartment during our summer holiday and can't wait to see her beautiful design in reality. We highly recommend Faye Cowie. Her experience and knowledge of the industry, as well as her patience and understanding of her clients unique needs make her an excellent choice for any design needs.

I had seen projects done or contemplated by Faye as I began to consider a major renovation of my rustic log cabin basically gutting the interior, raising the roof and pushing out two of the walls. I resonated with the design approaches Faye used in her other projects and she helped me to create my vision for the home that I now truly treasure., I have difficulty visualizing designs from blueprints and Faye was very adept at creating computer images of ideas contemplated. Faye worked well with the contract team and was very fluent in their communications, she spent an enormous amount of energy on the project, was very flexible, and listened carefully to my key objectives.
