About Us

Jennifer Emmer is an HGTV-featured Feng Shui Master, Interior Designer, and Historic Preservationist with 25+ years of experience, and hundreds of happy clients. She has designed homes, offices, businesses, movie studios, pilates and yoga studios, bed and breakfasts, and yachts throughout the United States, as well as Europe and Asia. Jennifer is also passionate about Historic Preservation, Urban Planning, and especially the adaptive reuse of historic buildings. Recently, her company has been specializing in midcentury Eichler homes in the Bay Area of California. As for her “classical” education, she studied Humanities at Harvard University, with a major in French and History, which eventually led her to architecture and Historic Preservation. She also studied Design and Photography at the Massachusetts College of Art, Non-linear video editing at Boston Film & Video, Oil Painting and Italian in Florence, Italy, and International Business at Boston University. Jennifer earned an Advanced Graduate Diploma from the American Feng Shui Institute under Master Larry Sang, one of the top 5 Feng Shui Masters in the world. She completed the curriculum in 1995-1996 and additionally in 2016 as a refresher. Studies included: Classical Feng Shui, Form School, Eight Mansion Theory, and Flying Star School. Jennifer also took continuing education classes in 2006-2007 at The International Feng Shui Institute, in Kent, England, where she Studied under Master Alan Stirling. I've had the absolute joy of being Feng Shui'd by Jennifer on multiple occasions. Every time, my life drastically changes. Her eye for gorgeous design and her passion for improving people's lives comes through in all of her projects.

Simply Done

I have worked with Jennifer on a few projects over the past 4 years. When it comes to increasing positive energy and guiding me with options for best Feng Shui style, I would highly recommend Jennifer. She helped me with our primary home and is currently working on our rental home as I write this. I find Jennifer friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about her work. I am someone who likes mostly calm tones and she helps guide with how to incorporate the colors, finishes, and placement to get the best results for good energy. A couple of years ago she transformed my office with a drastic change in paint color. While I was briefly hesitant, I also wanted/needed the change. I truly believe this change was a huge part in my businesses growth and positive energy. Even during Covid, the gardening division expanded in revenue, profit and client base. My house was a mash of different styles, eras, and colors. Jennifer came in and found a way to make wonderful suggestions/nudges to create a beautiful symphony for the spaces in my house - trickier because I have an open floor plan. I originally chose Jennifer because she is not afraid to use color (not a "Wow, look I have layered white on beige", though I am entirely sure she is very capable of doing that too). She still finds a way to harmonize and balance everything with her system. I would highly recommend.

This is a long overdue review. In a tough sellers market I was told by a few top realtors that I would have to take a loss on my house. I hired Jennifer and did everything she advised in order to “Shui” for wealth, abundance and helpful people. Soon thereafter, I met an amazing realtor who believed in the value of my home and on our first open house we got 10 offers and my house sold for 24% over asking. I had an easy close as I sold to a wonderful and.generous buyer who gave me a 3-week lease back at zero cost. Jennifer made me a believer. Thank you, Jennifer!

I would like to start by just saying Jennifer is The Feng Shui Master! Her expertise and flexibility helped me and my family Feng Shui and design our condo to sell. Jennifer is professional and understands real estate very well. She invested her time in understanding our needs and goals for our home. Then, she took the time to get to know the space and identify what it needed to be organized and well balanced. Jennifer was very organized and punctual. She made all of our appointments via phone because of our long distance. She sent different design options via email. The flexibility was very convenient for me! The energy immediately felt different afterwards. The best way to describe that is, you know the difference in feeling when you walk through the door to a clean home vs a dirty home. I would highly recommend Jennifer to anyone who is looking to organize, shift energy, or stage a home for sale!

Jennifer is helping me Feng Shui and design my new law office, in downtown San Jose. This is the third office she has designed for me. We're going with a Mid-century / Hollywood Glam theme, with lots of black and white photos of classic movie stars. For our furniture, Jennifer found us an original 1960s teak reception desk and credenza, which came from a mansion in Atherton. We're adding a velvet sofa, and 2 velvet chairs, and a flokati rug. And that's just the lounge! We're adding a gorgeous Buddha fountain in the reception area, which calms people down while they're waiting. We have a lot of plants, artwork, statues, even a giant brass gong in the conference room! I love how eclectic our design is, and it totally reflects us. Jennifer has an endless supply of ideas, and with a background in historic preservation, photography, and art history, she brings all of it to her designs. Everyone who comes to our office remarks on the gorgeous design, but they can also feel the Feng Shui. It's absolutely palpable. I never realized how important all the little details were - like weekly flower arrangements, which add a punch of color, tie everything together, and make the office smell great.
