Final Draft Cabinetry

We recently had Final Draft provide and install new kitchen cabinets and countertops for us and we are very happy with the final result. We initially met with Mariel in the Burnaby showroom and she explained the process and our options. We were impressed with her knowledge and professionalism. She showed us what our options were and guided us where needed. She then visited us and took detailed measurements of our kitchen. The cabinets were ready on time and when promised. They are Canadian made and the high quality of materials and workmanship are evident. Installation was done by Final Draft's installer, Viktor, and he did quality work. He arrived every day on time and left the job site clean at the end of the day. He finished the installation quickly and efficiently. Similarly the countertops arrived on time and were a perfect fit. The final price was as quoted and there were no surprises. We are impressed with the professionalism of Mariel and Viktor, and with the quality of the product and installation. We highly recomment Final Draft and will certainly use their services for any of our future projects.

My contractor Mark introduced me to Daniela and Fred and I found them to be helpful, professional and knowledgeable. I really appreciated their input and recommendations of how we could utilize the space better. My Merit cabinets look fantastic and the whole process of installation and clean up went smoothly. Five stars are not enough. I went to Final Draft Cabinetry because they were in my neighbourhood and because they sell Canadian-made products. Having renovated several homes over the years, I can say with confidence that these are not just the best cabinet suppliers I have worked with, but the best *company* I've worked with. From initial contact, to the planning and purchasing, to the installation process, they were not just professional, they were kind. So kind, in fact, that I recently needed to adjust something due to an appliance replacement, and although the job was done 3 years ago, they did it without hesitation and within less than a week. I am so grateful to have been their client.

We were referred to Final Draft by our contractor and we are very happy to have had the opportunity to work with them. From the beginning Daniella and Fred were very welcoming, which made it feel that we had known them forever. Daniella’s great eye for detail along with her patience and willingness to work through all the little tweaks to get things the way you want them was very reassuring and made the process more enjoyable. Fred is very enthusiastic and passionate about cabinetry and carpentry, and clearly has a strong knowledge of their product. Riley always arrived with a smile, never left a mess and was the epitome of professionalism. They take pride in their company and work, which was made all the more clear when we had two issues. They listened to our concerns and worked to resolve the issues ultimately giving us exactly the desired look we wanted. We get so many compliments on our beautiful kitchen and the built-ins they did for our living room TV and fireplace. We wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again.

We began our search for ideas for a kitchen remodel in the fall of 2018. In early 2019 we had visited five different cabinet companies that we liked but none really stood out for us. Then we found Final Draft Cabinetry. The difference was made by business owner Daniela's astute eye for design and detail and her partner Fred's solid knowledge of the construction industry. Communication with Daniela and Fred was reliably prompt and concise. We felt confident in dealing with them in what was our first really big home reno project and we're so glad we did. Their installer Riley was enthusiastic and meticulous in his work. The outcome was our lovely new Merit kitchen that completely brightens and updates our home! We had both our kitchen and powder room cabinets and countertops designed, supplied and installed by Final Draft Cabinetry. The kitchen was completed last summer and the powder room earlier this year. As we were new to the renovation gig, we didn’t really know what we wanted so Daniela & Fred took measurements, thoroughly went over the options and came up with designs that would work in our space—a townhome built in 1971. Both of them were genuinely personable, helpful and patient when we were deciding what to go with as we also changed our minds a couple times on some of the details. We never felt any pressure during the process and their communication was always clear. They also consistently followed through on their timelines coordinating things with the general contractor or at least gave us sufficient notice if anything had to change. Installer Riley was also very professional and careful in his work, and would cheerfully answer any questions we had during the installation. Overall, we had a great experience with Final Draft and will definitely go with them again when we are ready for our next project.

Daniela and Fred at Final Draft worked together - making a very strong team that were able to bring my concepts and designs to a beautiful realization. Upon completion, my kitchen was everything that I had been dreaming of for over ten years. I knew exactly what I wanted and Fred's experience combined with Daniela's style - created a fabulous but elegant working kitchen with lots of practical storage. They were cognizant of budget and made helpful suggestions to keep me on track! It was a pleasure working with them. They were always on time, were flexible with scheduling appointments, and their follow up was top notch! If I had another project - I would love to work with them again - and would highly recommend them to my friends or family!

Working with Fred and Daniela was like working with your good neighbors, a great delight, that on top of their professionalism from beginning to the end, beyond the great local product (Merit Kitchens) they have to offer, there are kind faces and warm hand-shakes to remember when you sit in your beautiful new kitchen and recollect how the amazing transformation came about--as I am doing now :) Everybody was saying I must have spent a lot of money on this new kitchen, but the truth is it was not much more than the more generic options out there. And what I got was not only a beautifully unique, quality product, but also the personalized professional service from drafting to installing, something that the bigger companies often promise but can't quite deliver. I and my wife have spent days shopping around and hours sitting down with different companies to talk about the project, but the moment we walked into Final Draft, we knew "This is it!" Aren't we glad that day we wandered into this little kitchen-cabinet-dream-factory in our neighborhood?

Fred and Danielle helped from everything including tweaking the design to optimize kitchen layout to staying on top of any changes needed once the cabinets were installed. Ryan, their installer was fast, courteous, and very professional. Just a pleasure to work with.

I was very impressed with the quality of the product that Final Draft Cabinetry provided. The cabinet boxes, sides, drawers, shelves--everything was plywood and all the drawer slides were Blum--all in all, it made for a very well crafted and sturdy kitchen. Mark was helpful in the design process by giving me things to think about. Fred was responsive and available when the installation process began and was under way. And the installers were courteous and professional and kept the house clean and floors protected. I'm loving my new kitchen!

Final Draft transformed a shabby dated kitchen into a fabulous functional space. We love it. Mark had a vision for the space that exceeded my expectations. Fred and the fabricators delivered and installed with little complication. We had some issues with the cabinet stain in the beginning but Final Draft guided us through the process and the results were stunning. We will definitely use this company again.
