Fineline Construction

We hired Fineline for a 4-5 month project to convert our garage into a living room with a small laundry room and added full bathroom. They were nothing but professional, courteous and kind from the very start! After having lived through one renovation previously, the most important skills we were looking for in a GC were communication and conflict management. Every project has their unforeseen challenges, and we wanted to make sure this project team could handle them professionally and efficiently. They proved themselves in this regard with clear email communication, text messages and phone calls whenever necessary. They mediated with vendors and worked through issues with subcontractors directly and professionally. We always felt respected by all Fineline staff and appreciate their integrity and communication skills. Of course the quality of work is also key, and they shined there as well. We are so happy with the way the entire design was created, and for the expertise they offered in the process (for example, advising us to swap the location of the bathroom and laundry room). Since we communicated regularly, we were always in the loop and notified when additional design options came up. We never felt pressured, but were thankful to have been given the options since we had never done a project like this. We will definitely look to Fineline for our future house projects!

We bought a house on Lake Norman, Mooresville. I hired Fineline Construction to help me with the a substantial indoor/outdoor project. This include the following: Building a walkout area with sliding glass doors from the basement to what would be a new pool and large outdoor space overlooking the lake. Reconstruction of a wrap around deck with a new railing system and new decking. Work with my pool company to help design an outdoor living space around a 25x40 salt water pool. The total area he worked with was 2,200 square feet which included porcelain tile, travertine walls, gas fed fire pit, steps and walkways. Needless to say there were many considerations that came into play with a project of this size. Mitch presented a vision and plan that was way beyond our expectations! Not only did Mitch bring his vision to life, but he did it while keeping great communication with the pool company and any other third parties. He helped with all of this and the project was finished on time and under budget - You don't hear that often! I'm sharing some pictures to show his work and vision. I can't recommend Mitch and Fineline construction enough!

We recently worked with Fineline on an extensive renovation of our home in The Peninsula. Our main goal was to add an outdoor covered living area that blended seamlessly with the house, rather than looking like an addition. From the start, Mitchell understood the vision and offered thoughtful recommendations that improved the overall design. The project lasted nearly a year and also included a redesigned front entry, demolition and reconstruction of our pool and pool deck, new flagstone steps and border at the front of the house, and a full exterior repaint. Throughout, Mitchell’s team was professional, respectful of our home, and flexible when plans or budgets needed to be adjusted. Mitchell kept us informed every step of the way, which made the process much smoother. The finished result exceeded our expectations. The new spaces look like they were always part of the home. Mitchell and his team were reliable, easy to work with, and delivered high-quality results. We are thrilled with the outcome and would not hesitate to use Fineline again or recommend them to others.

I would highly recommend Fineline Construction! They recently completed a deck remodel for us that is perfection. The team at Fineline is extremely accommodating and made everything we asked for happen. Each team is extremely professional and always left the work zone clean. They are some of the hardest workers, which is part of why they are the best. During project completion, there wasn’t a day that they said they would show and they didn’t. If a change occurred, it was always communicated beforehand. There was never any surprises. At the end of the project, before final payment was due, all loose ends were wrapped up. I have no hesitation recommending Fineline Construction to anyone. The deck was completed about a year ago and we’ve had no issues. We plan to use Fineline for future projects!

Excellent work all the way through from the design to the finished porch addition. Stayed on budget and provided great insight to the design, especially with the use of Trex decking and lighting. We have received numerous positive comments from those who see the work from the water on Lake Wylie. From the management team to the construction team, very accommodating and customer focused. We have a second project and will insure the Fineline team is involved from the beginning.

The team transformed our basement and it's become a favorite spot in our home. They were easy to work with, tackled unexpected surprises with ease, and always treated the project like it was their home. Would not work with anyone else for major renovation projects!

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of working with FINELINE CONSTRUCTION and their team. We added a screen porch with fireplace and an outdoor patio and grilling area and we could not be more pleased with the finished product or the process. From the very first meeting, they were interested in understanding how we wanted to use our new space and they played an integral part in the design process and turning our vision into a reality. They stayed on budget and we came away with the exact look and feel we wanted, we would not change a thing! All of the people involved were professional and personal and took great care of our property while working there. Mitch helped explain the Porch/Deck project in terms of our architectural drawings. His on site manager, Trevor, was always responsive and provided solutions when we did not understand the process. Mitch was patient with us and anticipated possible future issues recommending a solution that fit our plan. They worked with inspectors to complete the project correctly and reviewed our drawings for accuracy. They saw the quality we wanted in our architectural drawings and the result was a quality interpretation of those plans. The porch looks like it was there all along versus an addition.

Fineline Construction and managed an outdoor porch and roof extension as well as outdoor patio, kitchen and firepit for us. They were very easy to work with and listened to our needs. We couldn't be happier with the finished product!

I recently had my basement in the Fort Mill, SC / Charlotte, NC area finished by Fineline Construction and I was very pleased with the finished product. I worked in and around the construction business for 14 years and heard many nightmare stories about contractors and projects, but I am pleased to say Fineline was great! They weren't the cheapest quote I received, but I've learned that's often not the way to go. They also were no where near the most expensive quote I received. They did good quality work. The communication was great. They were polite, courteous, accommodating, and did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. One thing that was pretty unique is how they handled the waste during the job. Rather than having a dumpster in the driveway for a couple months (as many of my neighbors have), they built a trash "bin" that sat around back of the house and emptied it as they moved through the project. The project manager and sub-contractors were great and the owner personally came out after every phase was complete and inspected the work. He even pointed things out that I would have never seen, gave me some options and allowed me to decide how I wanted to proceed. When all was said and done, I actually came in almost 10% under what they originally quoted! I will absolutely use Fineline on any project in the future. A few pictures are attached. Josh was a wonderful project manager who always kept us in the know. There was never any questioning when someone might show up or if we were still on schedule. The final product was exactly what we were looking for and ties into the house seamlessly.
