Form Pools & Spas

Form Pools began my pool/backyard project back in April 2021. They abandoned the project and went out of business in July 2023. I currently have been left with an unfinished pool, no pool equipment, a pavilion building that won't pass rough framing inspection, and a loss of thousands of dollars. The review requires a project completion date but the project was never completed.

NEVER use any business associated with Chip Galloway. Make sure you pull all lawsuits and fraud reports prior to commencing any business. Mr. Galloway specifically told me that he used my money to fund other projects and that he would be upset if he were in my position. Well the court ruled in my favor and I am owed significant money. Unfortunately the ruling on this scam is not the end, as now Mr. Galloway thinks he can outsmart myself and the the legal system. Let the many criminal charges of multiple individuals begin.

Form Pools/Utah Landscaping LLC. Do your research before doing business with either of these companies. Google will be your best friend in finding out what a disaster Chip & his crew is to work with.

We were referred by a friend when we decided a swim spa was what best fit our needs. We had been working with Chip Galloway since December 2022. When we were ready, we paid for our swim spa in full in April of 2023. We were told by Stephanie that it was ordered April 14. Originally she told us it would be 6-8 weeks, then 8-10 weeks, and after we signed our contract and paid we were told 10-12 weeks. When we called to check the status we were told by Chip Galloway, via text, that they were going out of business but were going out of business but still working toward getting our spa and we could talk when we had a chance. We immediately called Form Pools and Spas and were only able to leave a text. Needless to say, we never heard anything back from the company, even after numerous texts and emails. Their store shows it is permanently closed. We did contact Coast Spas directly and were not able to confirm that our swim spa was even ordered. I have never worked with a more dishonest company. They basically took our money and ran. We will definitely do more research in the future and will not ever do business with a company associated with Chip Galloway or Stephanie.

I was informed by Chip Galloway that his company - Form Pools LLC - would be abandoning my pool and spa project, despite our paying all milestone payments on time and in full on my project. His reason is that they aren't making money on my project - he says it is due to material costs increasing over the past year due to inflation. They had to dig our pool a second time because they originally dug in the wrong location (they didn't read their own plans) - and had to dig it a third time because it sat for months and caved in. The tile job had to be ripped out and redone because the first attempt was done by an employee that was a landscape laborer and didn't know how to tile (the pictures would be laughable if it wasn't my pool). Reality is that they are losing money on my project because of having to do many expensive parts of the project twice (or more). It has been a miserable experience to work with Form and Chip. They do not return calls and the project has experienced many many delays due to poor project management and poor/shoddy workmanship by their subcontractors. I sincerely hope that nobody is put in the position that we have - no plaster, no pool or spa covers, broken equipment, incomplete plumbing install, coping that is spalling due to poor install quality of the deck jets, no warranty - and I have to hire another company to complete the job. I want others to be informed before making the mistake I did in choosing Form to build my pool and spa.

Do not under any circumstances use this company. Very poor workmanship. Lots of bad reviews on bbb. We spent 180k and they never finished.

We really enjoyed working with Form Pools. From the first meeting, we were impressed with Chip's vision for our space. We had a lot of desires for our pool and wanted something that would flow well into our surrounding landscape. They were able to handle the entire project from start to finish making the transition from building our pool to completing the additional landscape design very simple. They were very willing to walk us through our options and were able to incorporate a design that was tailored to fit our lifestyle. We signed a contract for their 45 Day Guarantee and although the build time took a little longer they were very professional about honoring their word and keeping us informed. We would highly recommend them!

I was very impressed with FORM POOLS from start to finish!! Chip came very highly recommended from a good friend of mine after building their pool. We had an idea of what we wanted but after their 3D design the vision came to life. Each residential backyard is different but Chip and his background in landscape design was vital in pool design. Their expertise in landscape and pool design was paramount in building the pool of our dreams. Their team of designers and builders were very professional during the entire process. I was impressed with Chip from our first meeting. He walked into our backyard and immediately started sharing his ideas for the space. I loved his ideas and the 45 day guarantee, so we hired Form Pools to build our pool. Everyone that worked on the pool was top notch. They were hard working, very knowledgeable and friendly. They were always patient and willing to answer all of my questions ( I had a lot) and very helpful in addressing any concern. We are very happy with our beautiful new pool.

We really enjoyed working with Form Pools and would recommend them to anyone. Our main goal in buying our house was to build a pool. In addition to a pool we needed to finish off our backyard. Our goal was to make the pool the center piece of the backyard and we wanted it to have a resort feel. For the design portion of the work, Chip from Form Pools met with us to understand how we wanted to use our pool and to get ideas of the features we had in mind. From that discussion he was able to create a beautiful vision for the whole yard, tailored to our very specific needs. It had a wonderful flow and brought in several elements that we had never considered. Not only was Chip able to create a very attractive design but he has a skilled team to implement the design exactly as shown in the diagrams and the 3D renders. He is tremendously patient and helpful. He even broke the design down into phases so our yard could grow and evolve with our family's needs and budget. Throughout the entire process he communicated with us to get our feedback, set expectations, and to explain each step. His work crew was very polite and considerate. They kept the work site relatively clean, which was surprising considering how much mud we had in our backyard due to the wet winter. However, the most impressive aspect of the project was that they built the pool during December and January through several snow storms and freezing temperatures. Such weather required the team from Form Pools to make sure a heater was operating to allow for the concrete to cure. Their dedication to the project was such that someone would show up after hours and in the early morning to monitor the drying process. The first phase with the pool has recently been completed. We are thrilled with the results. The pool gives our yard that resort feel we wanted. We like the pool so much that we couldn't wait until summer to use it, so we decided to heat the pool and throw a party. We have had tremendous fun and are so glad we put in the pool. Now we are eagerly anticipating the future phases.
