J.P. Franzen Associates Architects, P.C.

With offices overlooking Southport Harbor and also in downtown Fairfield, J.P. Franzen Associates is an award-winning architecture firm led by John P. Franzen, FAIA, a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects. A frequent juror on design juries and a former Historic District Commissioner, Franzen, with a staff of ten, specializes in preservation, planning, new construction, and additions and renovations. Franzen received a B.Arch and M.Arch from Cornell University where he also taught Design. He served on the national Board of Directors of the American Institute of Architects and was President of the Connecticut AIA Chapter. He has been involved in many regional and community boards and committees including the Bicycle Commission for the Town of Fairfield. The staff includes three registered architects, a landscape architect, designers, and a LEED Certified Professional.
