I cannot express my sincerest gratitude for Garden Diva Designs! We're building our home in Tillamook, Oregon and we are General Contractors but have NO experience in landscape design or implementation. I had some very specific ideas of what I wanted for our 2 acre parcel, but again, no practical knowledge of what was possible. From the first phone call with Laura, I felt completely at ease. She asked me to send her photos of my ideas and from there she began to create our dream outdoor environment. She educated me on the aspects of my property and it's special issues/concerns. I gave her a budget and she worked well within my budget and gave me very REAL expectations of what I could do with my property. We do custom builds in Tillamook county and have 3 other homes we will be building in the next months and she will DEFINITELY be my "go to" designer. Laura's work was first revealed to me flipping through a beautiful garden book I found at Powells. Her design stood out among the other talented designers as design that went beyond making an attractive space and filling a brief to the kind of design that produces a gasp followed by sounds you make at a firework display. We would have loved to hire her to do a full landscape design but we had just bought our house and didn't have the money. I'm an artist and my husband and are doing much of the labor ourselves. But I loved her work so much I decided to reach out and see if she'd be open to a consulting job and we are so glad I did. She looked at photos of our space and our goals and then visited us. She pointed out what was working, gave many ideas, drew some sketches to help with flow. If you believe in synchronicity or want to believe in fairies; if you sense potential in your space and want someone to connect the dots and to recognize whats already there and where it wants to go; if you want help to see the big picture and how to build a grounding foundation; if you want to improve flow and ease of use; if you want to add elements of surprise, mystery and delight Laura can do all of that. She really takes into her being each place and person and already starts to bring a space to life on a walk through with her ideas. She empowered and inspired us with her enthusiasm and ideas. Laura is a garden design wonder! As a landscape contractor, I have worked with her installing several of her gardens over the past few years and I am always impressed with the results. Each garden has been unique and specifically sculpted to fit the personality and needs of her clients.
